Should of done a top 10, while I agree with your top 5, definitely a Malco 5/16-1/4 bit is a must as almost all hvac uses those size screws, or individual nut drivers.

I've been training the new guys that come into the trade at the company where I work for years. I've told every one of them to invest in improving their knowledge and skills if they want the company to invest in them, i.e. increase your pay. Not one of them has followed through. I believe that they think since they just got out of trade school that they know it all even though I've told them all that I'm STILL learning.

@@natepeterson7145 Sounds like you've got your head on right. Reach out to me if you move to metro Atlanta. I can teach people to perform a task and why it needs to be done. I can't teach people to care about the present, their future, the reputation of their employer and their trade.

@@bill944 that's right that's why I left the appliance trade too many I'm not getting paid to better myself attitudes. The place I'm at now everybody wants to learn. Had more training in 3 weeks than the 26 years in the appliance field. Plus everyone that applied at the appliance store I worked at didn't want any advice on how to get better. They pretended to want to learn but did nothing when they got home. Wouldn't even call tech support.

Not to nitpick, but a couple things I want to point out for sake of clarity: The meter you are showing is a clamp meter; not a multi meter. A clamp meter is what I use 90% of the time. I also have a digital multi meter which measure to a wider range. A commercial tech should own both. I’m not a fan of the meters that try to cram everything into one as they often fall short somewhere.
Fantastic video and channel regardless. Really appreciate the content. You’re a great representation of the trade.

I def would have to make at least a 15 list. Even then, its still hard. Fieldpiece makes great gear, I def like thier VP series of vacuum pumps. In no particular order, I'd say
    Manifold Gauges w/temp probes
    Quality charging/recovery/vacuum hose set w/valves
    Clamp meter w/capacitance measuring
    Ultrasonic leak detector
    Micron gauge
    Core removal tools - 1/4 & 5/16
    Vacuum pump
    Tank scale
    Recovery tank(s)
    Recovery machine
    Pipe bender
    Pipe swagger
    Acetylene torch kit
    Victor Edge 2.0 Nitrogen Regulator
    Nitrogen tank
As you said though, there are many many tools in addition to this, depending on what all you will be doing. Love your videos, and you def sold me on some tools. Particularly TruBlu vac kits, VP67 pump, BluVac+ Micron gauge to name a few. I like the Testo smart series (550i no screen manifold, with most of the smart probes that were available). It was a hard debate on that vs the Fieldpiece sets, but I couldnt buy both, and ended up going with the Testos. I'm still waiting for my Appion MegaFlow kit to arrive, seems stock is down.
Keep up the awesome work man!
