Nigel, when I watched you creating the dragon pot (a year ago). I was completely flabergasted. It's a masterpiece! You are a true artist. Your choice to not glaze the dragon and let patina be a part of the piece is yet another attestment to your artistry. I'm in awe. Well done!
"It'll be like Christmas...." That's what I say every time. I take a T/Th class during the school year, and whenever I see a ton of pots disappear from the glazeware shelf on Tuesday, I know I'll have a lot of finished work waiting for me on Thursday, and when I arrive on Thursday, I always ask the tech "Is it gonna be a good Christmas?" Every once in a while he has to warn me of disaster with a shrug and a "um....ah....." But usually it's a good Christmas. It's great though. Kilns are like a box of chocolates.
How can any of your other followers get a little pot? I'm sure a bunch of us would chip in and buy you another large bunch of clay if you made some pots for us 😄
