gated orders should DEMAND access on the app if not able to finish then you should get FULL pay!!! also i never wait more than 10 minutes for an order if the place is not busy!
Hey Chuck! Another great video!! I feel like we’re similar drivers who like to keep the wheels moving, but I’ve noticed they drop orders at the bottom of the hour, again 5-6 minutes later, and then closer to the top. The best ones are usually at the bottom, but waiting is tough-still better than turning on DD to me. 😊
Years ago I lived in a 3rd floor apartment, long before these apps were available, but I’ve got to say, my daughter was a baby then, rather than getting her and myself ready to go, and having to take her into the grocery store, get all the groceries, and then having to climb back up all those steps with her and then having groceries, had these apps been available back then, I probably would have used them too. However my tip would have been hefty.

I have had the gate thing once so far. I had a 87.00 dollar 17 drop gm order with an estimate of 2 hrs 29 minutes. I always add an hour on to those estimates because it is more accurate. 4th drop I pull up to a gate and look for a gate code in customer notes and there is none. I got lucky because I called with no answer, but they finally responded to my text as I was calling support. It still wasted 15 minutes, and how stupid do you have to be to not realize that code is kind of crucial?
New Year’s Day was rough for me mentally, I woke up late so I started late. The orders were trickling in and every little thing around me was getting to me. Instacart customer added items from the opposite side of the store even though I had 2 items left. It was a day 😅
My rating is now 4.5 on spark. I always go above and beyond. I'm almost certain it has something to do with the store being out of items. All my orders were shopping deliveries, I always try to make good substitutions and communicate. But if they won't communicate back with you what do you do
It should not be allowed for that to count against us. It is not our fault the store is out of stock on stuff. I go above and beyond as well, I always pick good produce, and meats, because I shop for them like I would shop for myself.
I would have called support while at the gate of the gated community. And stacking dirty orders is always a bad idea, it rarely works out. I guess I'm very fortunate because DoorDash keeps me running the whole time I'm dashing. I DO NOT multi-app. It keeps me in the Platinum level and I get fantastic orders! I don't mind 3rd floor, office complexes or hotels. I love Dashing😁❤️ I'm addicted!
Shame on that person with the gated community. She probably was taking a shower or something. I know I’ve had that happen to me several times usually I get lucky and go in behind somebody.
They have stickers for each customer on their baskets that they bring out for curbside orders. 2 or 3 drops on curbside grocery is the norm and the best idea is to put them in different areas. Trunk, backseat, front seat for me. Gm orders have stickers for each package.

That's 40 cents more than a order I did on ubereats, came threw like almost 25 dollars N my zone had extra $10 promotion N when I handed it to some 14yr kid I was like yup gonna be all base pay, the tip was 10 cents, but guess almost 35 dollars for lil over 10 miles but 10 cents didn't know could leave that small of an amount 😅

I’ve been tip baited by these gif apps 3 times this week. I finally had enough and called sparks to complain. They asked me to send in screen shots of the customers order and the zeroed out tip. Anyone did this to your satisfaction before? They made it sound like they weren’t happy about it either.
I have been lucky and not gotten tip baited, but some people are lowlifes. I had a customer text me yesterday asking if I would mind adding a few groceries. I told them that there is no way to do that and sorry. Today my rating went from 5.0 to 4.9 every other customer had good tips from yesterday that all came through. This person was a no tip order and then wanted me to do extra work that was not what was agreed to.
They should not be allowed to take a tip back on the app. If there is a real problem, the customer should be required to call spark personally to get back a tip. That would stop a lot of the tip baiting, and also it creates a paper trail so spark can see if they do this type of thing often so it can be addressed.

Chuck I got a contract violation today. Apparently DD had a hissy fit that I drove across the street to Taco Bell to pick up an UE order (of course I had to wait). Got me for extreme lateness. Damn dirty stack. I know it's my own damn fault. I took the UE's one first because it was only a mile away. It wound up biting me in the ass. They said I was 14 minutes late to drop off. I think that's a flat out lie. Door dash caught me cheating red handed.

The worst is getting lectured by young adult children who have never had a cigarette (thank heavens; please don’t get me wrong) and every year after the school assembly on ‘drug awareness day’ or whatever they would come home 🏡 and tell me “cigarettes are drugs!” yet fast forward just a few years and at least two out of the four smoke those stupid vapes. (yeah, I have a few in my drawer, but I was already a smoker and it didn’t really work for me) all right it’s one thing to know it’s bad especially when you have other issues that you think you’re gonna do in sooner, it’s another thing to just be able to quit. Yeah, maybe that makes some of us weak but there you have it. And the patch never did anything for me like when I was in the hospital. I don’t think it’s physical even the withdrawal for that. For me anyway. Just as soon as I run out, I go apeshit. I get really moody. It wouldn’t be fair to my family members for me to try long-term. 😂😮😊 I mean it is what it is. So many people have door bell and security cameras everywhere… I actually think it’s cool. Even if there isn’t a camera or a person… I like the expression of positive gratitude. It makes me very happy every time he does it.
I am the same way. If I see apartments mentioned on the order, I pass on it. I am 54, and my body does not like stairs. I leave apartments to the younger ones.
