My Dad was a Sailor who enlisted in 1939 and was a chief during WWII. We always owned a boat. All my life up till he died he was talking about traveling the entirety of the ICW. He never did. Now I talk about it, but no boat. I am retired and will see it done if I can keep my health. This video made me drool. I am looking at a boat now!
Thanks for a nice video. And enjoy the nice boat that you are using. If you notice, most of those mega-yachts are tied up almost all the time, and when the owner does go out, he is a passenger and a paid captain has the pleasure of running the boat.
I love the fancy yachts here, and I am getting up colourful brochures from renown yacht makers like Azimut, Sunseeker, Ferretti (Ferretti, Riva, Pershing), Princess (Viking Sport Cruisers), Marquis, Silverton, and Viking!!!
Thanks for the video! What kind of boat was this? I never have owned a boat but it looks like a great activity. PS-Don't be put off by negative comments on here. You can't get away from these people.
As per US Coast Guard regulations, commands to a ship's helmsman are given in right and left. Even professional seamen make fewer mistakes using right and left. But a lot of week end warrior yachtys on toy boats think it is cooler to use port and starboard
our nation is free because of your father as well as my family. i would take trip and document the whole thing. i was stationed at mcas cherry pt. . the whole icw was vital during ww2 as nazi submarines exacted a horrible toll in the battle of the atlantic. good fishing and hunting. birding, planes, seafood, bbq, with vinegar sauce.

Anyone who cruises the intercoastal probably refers to left and right (as opposed to port and starboard). It is the INTRAcoastal.

It's the Intracoastal Waterway, not Intercoastal.
Dogs? I never allow dogs on my boat. I can tell you a few horror stories about dogs and boats.
Lady, you cruise and dock, not drive and park...
Jello...
Sorry sweetie but you can't drive down the intercoastal your car will get flooded and
