Leo: I can't imagine things could have worked out any better. The Catwalk from the shop right over to the deck level of Tally Ho is amazing.
Now he just needs a cat...👍👍👍

What a beautiful set up

We never know what good may come from seemingly bad events. The legal troubles in Sequim triggered this change at what now appears to be exactly the right time. The new location, surroundings and combinations of available talent & resources are sure to have amazing effects on the project.
A single grumpy old man caused all the trouble. Somebody with too much spare time on their hands.
Although its a good move for progress on the boat, it would have been better for the move to have occurred in a natural time-line, rather than the project suffer forced acceleration to meet an arbitrary timeline, and the complete waste of resources on legal crap. Grumpy ass holes need to mind their own damn business. Better they move to a neighborhood with an HOA lead by an angry OCD Hitler like personality.
It wasn't me... LoL... I can't wait to see this next/ new chapter, hopefully for the next 2 years.
@@jenniferwhitewolf3784 Yes, just like the beautiful area where my home is in Tampa FL. The HOA Gestapo
@J Hemphill Ladies don't need to be old to do that. You know her name... it's Karen.
Pete is a spin-off series in waiting. With the same kind of editing, I would watch the crap out of him and his partners in action, particularly if he narrated /walked us through processes.
Same here - what a personallity! Bionic feet Pete :D
It's the editing that really sets Leo apart. If he could find an editor he works well with and keep the same raw yet polished style he'd have so much more time. Leo constructs each video really well but as he'd still have to film and narrate sections, with the right guidance each video an editor could pull it off. more money tho.
Me too - Suggested Title, "Hey Pete, Whatcha Doin'?"
@@StonyRC Haha yes lol
Agree.
Except for the delay of moving and some added expense, this looks like the very best of situations. Well done
To be fair, having basically a temporary boat yard next door is not for everyone. I think we tend to forget that we would be happy to have such a project next door but a lot of people would not. Especially people who live in a semi-rural/ rural residential area. I think we should not demonise that person. A solutioin was found that suited everyone in the end.
Before you have a go at me, FYI I was one of many who wrote to the council and encouraged them to find a solution without shutting down the project.
Well personally I have experienced neighbors that moved in next to our 50 year old business and started calling to try and shut is down.
These low class people are in every town.
#@Dave's Shed and @Pop's Old Boats: that are usually the people that make their money (and create the nuisances) for livelihood in someone else's backyard! - As much as zoning makes sense, it can not fix senseless / inconsiderate people.
I think initial site was needed for all parties involved and benefited all parties involved. All too often, we overlook the benefit of struggling with others toward the same pursuits. This story emphasizes the overwhelming benefits of shared love and passion. the rewards are documented in this series, in full color. The drama involved to derail this only fueled the fire of forward progress and invigorated the community of participants. I commend you for your participation and defense of this project. I do not condemn you statement, I acknowledge it and support it. Change is constant, and forward progress always requires sacrifice and conviction. Pain is always around the corner, so make sure it counts when you take it. This project has proven that the hero's journey is worthwhile in my opinion. As a tradesman myself, I understand the struggles I've watched in this series on a personal level, even tho I've never built a wooden boat. You can't make this shit up, real life is always more amazing. Im willing to put money on the bet, 90% or more of the struggle isn't presented. And still, I find myself deeply emotionally invested in this project. The Pain, the Self Doubt, the Faith and the Connections you discover during such a journey is incalculable in the long run. Most want the stick, until they wield it. This series, to me, has been a documentary of a master who wanted the stick, and came to understand what it is to wield it. You can watch Marvel movies and Star Wars with made up crap and tropes for your kicks, its just fantasy. We all try to bring our dreams into reality. To watch someone else willing to document the struggle in real time and share with us... Priceless!
Well I still hope they get attacked by wild dogs.
You too can help Tally Ho. Leo is racking up a bunch of expenses moving into the new shop so consider a one time donation to help him get up and running. Every little bit helps but a larger bit helps more.
Now you have left a like, but have you left a one time donation for Leo? Even a small donation helps.

beautiful. I'm extremely jealous of your hoard of clamps, planes, and on and on. I'm stoked on my 16" planer but 26 you said? wow. it's good to have good neighbors and friends, and better to have friendly neighbors with friends. now you'll be wondering what to weld and what to bolt and just say "let's just go ask carl" or whatever his name is next door. I look forward to seeing you meld with a professional community. the workshop is 1000% and you've got a great crew at present. give us some sailing as you settle in! cheers.
This is the best REALITY TV SHOW in the history of reality! I love watching this!
I find myself watching UA-cam instead of TV. I'm beginning to wander if I really need to pay for cable or satellite. Seems like internet and my roku suffice.

Hi Leo
What a skilled craftsmen you are!
But there's another skill in equally impressed with......
I started watching at episode 101, the infamous lead pour. Got to this episode and decided I would have to binge watch from the very beginning. I'm up to EP24.........
Your skills as a shipwright are outstanding , but what I've also noticed is your ability to have a different beautiful woman helping you out in nearly every episode!
Like I said, I'm impressed!
I would love to see Tally Ho sailing into Wellington harbour one day.
Massive Respect from New Zealand.

Mad props to Pete ... Dude, never realized about your leg. Much respect, because you carry yourself as if it's nothing. I could only hope I'd be as mobile as you in the same situation.

Pete is a one man phenomenon. I hope he comes over to the UK on Tally Ho's maiden voyage (in two years!), so I can get to meet him.
@@Jb001jb Doubly so, then ... I'm definitely not worthy.
Bravo! Your organizational skills are quite apparent. Good luck with the new digs and to Pete, his shipmates and everyone there at the yard... Tally Ho!
It's an exciting new phase of the project, and I'm glad Pancho was able to make a visit!
We will continue to watch the build wherever it's done.
As these types of birds are very social I’m glad to hear this. They can go through withdrawal when their social environment changes
Dear Jeff Geerling
👍👌👏 Same here, definitely!
Best regards, luck and health.
Hi Jeff, nice to see you here
(still grinding through your Kubernetes series right now in fact)
:D
Got the Ansible and Kubernetes crew in here! It makes sense, the name Kubernetes does stem from an Ancient Greek word meaning "Helmsman"😂 I always chuckle when I see your comments on these Tally Ho videos, glad you enjoy them too!
I doubt we’ve seen the last of Pancho
a community of boatbuilders and a ship hangar in the middle. It can't be better!
And with Pancho as supervisor nothing can possibly go wrong.
Caught up on the last 103 episodes over the last few weeks. Leo, you are without a doubt a the most wholesome person I have ever seen. Your ingenuity appears to know no bounds. And you have and I'm sure continue to be a remarkably positive influence in the lives of likely thousands of people the world over.
I did the binge too, and got caught up last December. Waiting for the next episode was an adjustment. But commenting on current clips fills that space.
A friend introduced me to Leo and Tally Ho almost at the very beginning. I started with video 2, I think. I've binge-watched all these videos (when my time has allowed) a full 3 times already. Always superb fun to be reminded of what Leo and the team have overcome and achieved.
Another equally marvellous channel, if you don't know it already, is Acorn To Arabella - really impressive work being done there too.. I binge watch their videos when I can. On reflection, I somehow have far too much spare time, so I need another project of my own to pursue... 😊
All I can say in wow. Not only she came a long way, but also you grown a lot a long with video quality. Not even mentioning all volunteers and of course Pete.
am i the only one who's actually going to sad when they finish the boat? you're literally my saturday morning adult cartoon :) as always great job by all you guys!!
Don't worry, after that there will be sailing videos!

Thanks so very much for sharing......!
Pete sweeping the walls made me chuckle.
Despite being forced into this situation and leaving an excellent shop living quarters, this is a plum location with Pete and his partners all in one place. Nice to see Pancho enjoying her piece of scrap wood.
Congratulations on a smooth move to the new shop. Raul and Darlene were such great hosts for your project, I hope the next door neighbor understand what a heel they are!
Here’s to no more trouble-making neighbors from Sequim. The new shop seems to be a very nice space for working on Tally Ho. I can’t wait to see what you guys can do with such a space. I missed having a video from you last week, so this one was a welcome surprise.
You are an excellent shipwright, craftsman, politician, leader and consensus builder. I wish I lived closer to help. I’m glad you and Pete are so close. You two are becoming legends.
Pick Up where you left off: Time to repour the keel and mount it! I love foundries!
LOL! Good one Pete... "Tally Oh will be completed in two years" dude you're hilarious, not like that has not been said before. Leo, I love what you are doing.
Now that they're in PT, 2 years is beginning to sound reasonable.
For a really open ended timeline check out Project Binky. Those guys have been saying “two years” for the last six.
@@langdons2848 ah project binky. But it is in the finishing phase now, well almost, or it eventually will be almost done.
@@jakob.k_design Yes just another year or two I hear...
Fascinating, the part about having Tally Ho housed in the new shed before winter. As used as we all are to Raoul and Darlene's generously-loaned property, a framework of dimensional lumber covered in plastic just won't do for this phase of Tally Ho's restoration. No more of that tarping, thinking about tossing seawater over her, etc., to mitigate overheating and shrinking. Now she's in a proper shed. It's supremely satisfying how often willing hearts and hands can serve to help us not only overcome the vagaries of life, but flourish under them. An annoyingly unhelpful neighbor pushing feckless local officials around could have spelled disaster for the project. However, met with Leo's indefatigable good cheer, work ethic, humility and can-do attitude, that threat was transformed into just the right push to get Tally Ho into a very good situation. A great enterprise you've put together around this project, Leo. Life lessons abound. Always the mark of quality people doing excellent work. Cheers, mate!
My gawd it’s nice to see the band back together. Even it it’s just a groupie like Pancho.

What a workshop 👌
What a beautiful set up, doesn’t hurt to smell the sea air too. Looking forward to the engine installation. It makes sense to have that installed before putting down the deck…cheers 😊👍🇬🇧🇨🇦
One theory I like is to complete the hull and deck, then install the systems, tanks, wiring and so on. I built new tanks for my trawler and would love to explain why that’s a good idea
@@vidguy007 yeah people always think it’s best to install everything then build around it. Unless you are building a design you have already built, so you know exactly where everything goes and how much room it will need. It’s best to build then install. That way when it’s time for it to come back out later down the road you know it can actually come out without cutting the boat all up.
And now you’ve got a commercial boat building set up started. Well done Skipper, this is a beautiful dream to live out. The passive yet productive reaction to the very unfortunate situation you just overcame while working with the help of your new family members just gave you a boost in life, beautiful solution.
I’m sort of annoyed that you’re doing this in the US as I’d love to get involved.. if I were there now, I’d be using your old boatshed structure to separate Tally Ho work space with polythene sheet from the rented out section to reduce contamination from any fibreglass or steel grinding dust.
So good to see Tally Ho (and Leo!) next to the sea, where they belong. It only struck me today, how little actual sea we've seen over the last 'two' years. Good to see Pancho again too - that should keep the viewing numbers up! The only sad thing is how much Tally Ho has shrunk - all these years she's been such a huge boat, but now she looks so small in that enormous shed...
Yes Tally-Ho gets a bit of a reality check. And smaller still next to all the other boats in that busy yard.
I was thinking the same thing. Lol
How long is she anyways? I have wondered for a while. Maybe someday she will be tied up next to Arabella and it will look big again.
Raueal and Darlene are beautiful people and the new set up is awesome 👌
I think we know from where Tally Ho's plates and mugs are going to come from, when Leo gets round to stocking the galley!
It would be sweet to purchase a mug , just like the ones from Tally Ho!
i'm 100% down for a Tally Ho mug
I'll buy 8
I'd buy a Tally Ho mug too!
When one door closes another door will open. An when you open yourself to what's next without letting fear of change rule you... Nothing but good follows ... Enjoy everything great .. looking forward to the future guys!! ✌🏻💗☺️❣️
Ill just move the boat and workshop....Jeez what a job
So pleased to see that the move worked out really, really well. Pete next door is awesome.
What a wonderful working place you got there Leo! And bonding with the other shipwrights as well by sharing space. Clever thinking!

What a great journey Leo, I have been watching since I stumbled on your first episode when you first released it. Now we are on part two of the Tally Ho story. Great workshop
Awesome! Cool to see a new episode! Keep rolling Tally Ho Captain and Crew!! Ancient Egyptian methods of locomotion!! All and much more this episode 👍😁 WOW pottery studio too!?? Super cool! :)
So many wins! Enclosed shed and storage, 3 story classic workshop, in Port Townsend surrounded by wooden boat family and friends and best of all Pancho approves! Very well done.
Huzzah! Great layout Leo, TALLY HO will be well served there. We too have been moving, 15 little boats and our workshop tools found their way 900 miles from Florida to Virginia via trailer, UHAUL or PODS. One went West though, and North, a little wooden Sunfish we restored named CHIP made her way to Port Townsend, small world, she is just a mile up the street from you with Emiliano at The Artful Sailor's shop. Please drop by and see her when you get a chance and say hi from Clark and Skipper.
the whole country and neighbour chaos has proved the following so true. I can't change the direction of the wind, but I can adjust my sails to always reach my destination.
Fundraising Idea......
Or as a thank you to your patrons and supporters.....
Use the original Teak planks and manufacture decorative "Tally Ho" plaques.
They could be branded with a picture of Tally Ho in full sail using a hot iron or the picture could be pressed and inlaid with gold leaf for the most important supporters.
Fantastic project, I'm coming to the end of my binge watching so, can't wait to see your next video.
Massive Respect from New Zealand
Leo, you know the old saying: one door closes, another one opens. The one that has opened for you, your crew, and Tally Ho is huge, and best to you all going forward! And I hope Pancho gets to visit often ... ;~P
I don't think I've looked forward to a new episode of anything more than I do this channel. Just became a patron.
So blown away by the global support and enthusiasm by all for this project. This project is a light at the end of a long covid tunnel, I just thought for a moment about the launch , and it put a lump in my throat . The day she splashes in will be such a party. So many people the world over are now part of the TALLY CREW
Wonderful to see your new setup and the great maritime environment around you.
I love that Pancho got to come check out where everyone and everything went. You will have to have an agreement with Roul to bring her up as often as he needs a break. I'm sure she misses the activity and people she had been hanging with for such a long time.
Wow Patrick is really talented! Good stuff!
I think it’s amazing that Patrick has been there for so long and just now plugged himself in a video. It really shows the character of the crew that is working with Leo and that they are really just there too be a helping hand.
I don't miss all the hard work on my boats, but after watching this, I do miss the boatyard and the "yard community!" It would appear that your community is bursting at the seams! I love it. DD
You need a time-lapse camera up in the roof space of the big shed, if you haven't already got one.
Ooh yes, that’s a nice idea!
Looks like the ideal situation. What a great environment for a boatbuilder to ply their trade.
Having watched you from perhaps 6 months into your project I have to say how consistently impressed I have been with the project and your adaptation to it and the volunteers who arrived to help. I do understand that this is an 'amateur' documentary (as many will remind me no doubt) but being 68 years old and having watched many supposedly 'professional efforts along similar lines; costing one has to assume in the local vernacular, Bucketloadsamoney, I have been mightily impressed with the combined efforts of your assembled crew. Whilst, not all who have participated have been naturals on camera, (Pete, in particular, to begin with) the project has nevertheless produced some distinct Tally Ho 'personalities'. And really it has been such a pleasure to watch the development of the people, their issues, the boat and 'challenges' en route so to speak, the honesty, the humour and yes the integrity is admirable and all in a time in society where these virtues are not always appreciated and most assuredly not expected, having just watched the latest video of the move to Port Townsend, it's so pleasing to see Pete and yourself enthused and confident in the next moves. Sorry this is a tad long winded; but I felt the need to say just how much I, and I am sure many many others look forward to the next post.
thanks again

Ditto... well said.
Good. Luck and very best wishes to you Leo in your new location. Keep up your excellent work bringing Tally Ho back to life. From Lancashire UK.
Yeah, container prices are crazy at tge moment.
Be sure to get a hitch lock for the trailer so somebody doesn't pull a truck up and tow it away.
It feels like the yard is a great new atmosphere for the project. Best wishes for the crew and your updated endeavor. Pun intended. Totally enjoy these vids.
Brought a tear to my eye when you were leaving Sequim and now again to see Pancho there in Port Townsend. All the best for the next stage from Pittwater Wooden Boats in Sydney
One of the things that amazes me about Leo’s project is the wealth of knowledge, talent, equipment, and allied businesses available even in and around a relatively small place like Port Townsend. I am often sad that we don’t have the same rich industry all around Australia. So it’s great to see someone keeping those traditions alive. Keep up the good work!
Leo, I am really impressed by your talent, tenacity and hard work, amazing project, congratulations!!!
You have been an inspiration! I've gotten off my butt and made some long overdue repairs to my workshop. I've now discovered that I need a dedicated wood working area, so it appears that I'll soon be expanding the existing shop area. Thanks for sharing and reigniting my enthusiasm for tinkering on my various projects!
Amazing to see how far you and the Tally Ho have come. Keep up the good work 😁
Patrick is quite talented. Glad you made it to such a perfect place. The interaction with other boatbuilders and marine trades can do nothing but make Tally Ho even better during the final phases. 2 more years!
a Nice comment! Thank you Leo for this video and sharing this.
The unity between boat people is awesome how they jump in and help each other where they can... Great Video....
I'm so excited for you Leo, and I love your new workshop! Will you please make sure that everyone that works for you knows how fire extinguishers work, fire blankets and leave fire escapes unlocked. There is so much wood and any unattended friction or spark will devestate the place. But i'm very confident from all that i see in your videos is that this part will be taken serious too! Fire safety!
Great to see you and your crew back! You all were missed. I'm your 90 year old fan here in hot and dry Yuma, AZ (116 degrees) today. Keep up the good work!

What a fantastic video. Once again Leo, you and your crew have worked your asses off to get your workshop and working spaces shipshape. It's great to see how many people have given or loaned you equipment. It's great to see Pete set up in his new workshop with his gifted group of craftsmen. I'm sure their close proximity will come in handy from time to time in getting some of the work done on TALLY HO. If I was a young man, I think I would enroll in the Port Townsend Boat Building School. It looks like it would be a fascinating career to pursue. I am very excited and looking forward to the new developments on TALLY HO. Stay well.
Wow! It's going to be so cool to not only see Tally Ho being built but to also see all the other boats and marine stuff at the new location. I live a thousand miles from an ocean and this stuff is so interesting to watch!
Great video Leo. Thanx for showing us around the Shop and can't imagine a better place to continue "Tally Ho".
Seeing Pancho at your new location really brought things together for me. I appreciate that your friends are so faithful to you. Yah, she probably is the most calm and engaged during the whole boat processes and this is a good way to slowly wain her off it in the next few years so she doesn’t think Leo abandon her or doesn’t like her. Birds will do that and hold grudges for a long time.
Congratulations Leo and team. You all dealt with that setback with rare style. Nice New home.

This is the most wholesome series I watched this year, all 103 episodes of it! Thank you Leo for letting us be a part of it! It will be a long 2 years until we can see Tally Ho on water!
Until then: I really hope you made up your mind and you will recast the Ballast keel! It is a huge and difficult task I know, but it will be much more safer, without cracks and air pockets from the original casting heat shrinkage. You will regret later if you don't do it now! It will have the same atoms, just remelted, it will be still 95% old material!
Keep up the good work for the next 2 years! Give or take! :D
Great to see all the cool kids down there with you Leo!!
