I am talking about the monotonous boring flat land everywhere you look and go , the hurricane season that people have to deal with every single year , the heat and the disgusting humidity especially in the summer , and what about the permanent damage that the sun does to the skin ? Move to Florida ? Hell no .
I know. I was there at Christmas once, and it was so depressing to be immersed in the hot weather, smells of gas, fast food and trash everywhere with blow up santas and penguins. I prefer to live in a place that has actual seasons, fresh air and no hurricanes

I was just there in Daytona Beach..that place is as dead as a warzone...poor....dirty..... everything seems to stand still since the 50s..... architecture is totally the 50s and nothing been changed ever since... the beach is not free...ypu have to pay a fee to access the beach since the dirt next to the sand is private property.... ypu can't even see the beach from the street because hotels and private residence literally lining up along the street...there are a few beach access entrance but you have to pay a fee....$15... Ahhhh... now I appreciate my California so much more...so many things are free.... 58% of California's land is public property...so no one can build anything there...forests...beaches...deserts...mountains..... all free access except state and national parks.....
I have never paid to access the beach in Daytona. Were you driving on? I know if you drive you have to pay, but you don’t pay if you’re walking on the beach.
Its kinda a catch 22, people are moving from more expensive locations to take advantage of the better weather and lower cost of living. Now that the cost of living has increased significantly less people are moving in. Unfortunately what is left is higher costs for the locals. Florida did not foresee this and should have/should do home purchase restrictions. You have to live full-time to own. This will get rid of people/corporations who do not contribute to the Florida community.

If I receive pension from other State and move to Florida, do I have to pay taxes from my pen income?
That is a question for a tax person, and please consult with one, but my understanding is Florida does not tax pensions.
I have a pension.....Florida doesn't tax pensions...
😱give it back to the Seminole!
Excellent honest insight. Simply retire in place.
I cancelled all 8 of my policies in 2023 on my rental houses in Marion County. They increased 80-130% in 2023 and these are 'rental' policies in 'safe' Marion Co.🤮 Remember there's a 2% hurricane deductible I have to pay whether I have a policy or not.
You have no idea what a great place Florida was to live until the masses began piling in down here.
I really enjoy watching your videos I live in the Orlando area in Altamonte Springs everything you've mentioned about in condo is this taking place where I live I would like to speak with you about our situation us owners are very concerned I need some help I look forward to hearing back from you my name is Eric
Hi Eric. Sure, you can email me at krista.taurins@gmail.com. Sorry to hear you’re going through that.
Forget buying how about renting. Will that work?
Thanks for the info, but I was only looking for a puppy.😊
FYI WA does not have a state income tax. There is a sales tax.
Florida''s prices will ALWAYS go up. Don't wait to buy. Vero Beach is the place to go if you want to be near the beach and cities but not on top of the traffic etc.
People that bought there house during the real estate boom 2021-2022 are going to be up side down on their house
Homes were way over inflated and now people are stuck in house that is worth less than what they owe on their mortgage!!
That’s false. If you brought or refinanced from 2021 on back you’re not upside down. You’ve beat the rate of inflation. That mortgage is less than what you would pay in rent for said home with a 2 to 3 percent interest rate
@@livingmybestlife365 yes they are prices are coming down. I'm a realtor 47k properties on the market from Martin to Dade County prices are dropping and foreclosures, REOs and Short sales are ticking up.
@@MCthespeakerok genius. find me a home in the canyons for a whopping price drop
@livingmybestlife365 I'm in South Florida Martin to Dade County is my area.
@@MCthespeakerthank you for exposing yourself. The canyons is in south Florida. That just proved to everyone that you don’t know what you’re talking about. 😂😂🤣🤣🤣
Yes, how is someone going to pay for their $400k to 600k gated community home and pay those HOA fees as well? Those insurance and flood insurance costs? What golf course, restaurant, retail store, etc, job is going to pay this? Plus, after 3 months of living there, you did everything that these travel videos told you to do and now you are bored? Its like that Wendy's commercial, "Where is the beef?".
New construction does not effect insurance. New construction is cheap cheap cheap! The houses built 20 yrs. ago are the best built. New roof and you're fine.
What a hell hole. We can afford it, but want to leave so bad!!!!
And the article was put out May 22nd of 2024. Before the hurricanes hit.
Krista, Greed never gives a discount!
Housing prices are high everywhere
Someone is a Florida hater 😂
I just discovered the horrific property tax rates on homes.
Especially if you are from New York or California not wanted
I rather stay in California
The good news is that we are moving back to the 2003 - 2007 Hurricane cycle, which will make it an interesting place to live. Nothing a good hurricane season can't fix!
Very good video and well explained! Read the fine print people! Avoid the glitter😎
I wholly agree! Do not move here!Too many moving here!
Gather 'round, folks! Get your daily fix of fear and despair from the same experts who've been predicting a crash for years. Only 50 cents for this valuable dose of pessimism!
Nope ...stay North ...the California effect is catching up to FLA....
GIVE IT 5 YEARS
HOA will be the reason I leave Florida if I can't find a traditional family home
Keep looking, you'll find one and are gonna to love it, don't give up!
People, go back to grade school and learn the difference in there, a place, and their, possive case for they. There's lots more similar word pairs you get wrong all the time.
wtf is possive?
Grammar police screwing up critiquing someone, only to come off looking foolish. Go back to school!!
Nope....stay North...
Homes are ridiculous you need $136000 down on a home
yes as a Florida resident please do not move to Florida. we love our tourists.
I just never understood those people who moved to Florida . I am not even talking about the real estate and insurance prices that gone through the roof . I am talking about the monotonous boring flat land everywhere you look and go , the hurricane season that people have to deal with every single year , the heat and the disgusting humidity especially in the summer , and what about the permanent damage that the sun does to the skin ? Move to Florida ? Hell no .
Those of us who already live here encourage you to stay where you are. Please. 😊
GOOD - please stay where you are, and don't bring your miserable whining to our State !
I know. I was there at Christmas once, and it was so depressing to be immersed in the hot weather, smells of gas, fast food and trash everywhere with blow up santas and penguins. I prefer to live in a place that has actual seasons, fresh air and no hurricanes
I would take Sunday drives to Brooksville from Tampa just to drive the hills there😂😂
@katenoke1571 I've been living Florida for 50 years....there is no change of season......just hot and very hot......if my kids didn't live here I would leave.....it's nothing like it used to be....
Don't you pay crazy taxes in Cali?
Agree. Let’s all thank desantis that bum.
Good description.. drove thru there about 5 yrs ago
Boring in Ocala....only the houses are good prices
It is ok
Load up your 8 cars and come on down
Im a new yorker living in FLorida!! And i cant wait to Go back home!! MY NY!! FLORIDA IS TRASH
Florida is too expensive and too many people. Stay where you are. Move to Kansas.
Sincerely,
Florida loving homeowner
Yes all you Yankees drive right through South Carolina and go on down to Florida
Rats 🐀 keep moving Inn making the price range up wtf
Its kinda a catch 22, people are moving from more expensive locations to take advantage of the better weather and lower cost of living. Now that the cost of living has increased significantly less people are moving in. Unfortunately what is left is higher costs for the locals. Florida did not foresee this and should have/should do home purchase restrictions. You have to live full-time to own. This will get rid of people/corporations who do not contribute to the Florida community.
All This UA-camr do this Videos because of this thing #1 they Can't live here They are also Helping other Real Estates in other Part of the Country to Move to their State Finally an Anti Florida Ad of some time. HI RENT LO PAYING JOBS cant move any ware .cant live out side but the DOG CAN------------------------------A MEN
Prices have grown big because the northerners are/were selling their homes for ridiculous prices and bidding up the prices of Florida homes.
Just don’t move to Florida period 😂
that weird background beat was so annoying. Why do you need that?
Don't move to Florida If you can't read posted speed limit signs and actually drive it!!!
Driving is central Florida is utter hell ....we also have super high insurance rates.....
The jerks that moved here from up North and Out West have drove the price of housing to astronomical proportions
Florida is hell. Hell is colder than Florida. Who in their right mind would move to hell so they can have two months of decent weather and ten months of fucking hell?
Try 9 awesome months. I boat 90% of the year now vs Chicago that has like two good months… We don’t want any more people anyway.
@@DrEd-th2luIndeed. People like what they like. I think the intent is to keep new people out.
Lol, many of us love the weather in Florida.
@@Deedee_9090 Exactly. Looking forward to moving back.
@@DrEd-th2lu 90% of people in Florida cannot go boating, 90% of the year. Most people in Florida have to work 12 hour daily shifts just to make ends meet. if you can boat 90% of the year in Florida, then that is exactly where you belong. That is the kind of crowd our governor wants . Non working people that can afford to live in Florida

@@MichaelForte-jn5pn When I moved to Florida in 1977 the population was 7 million. Today it is 21.7 million.. The roads did not increase. There is a crisis
on condos because of the HOA. Many are loosing their condos. But the population will not decrease. The next group of New Floridian are coming
and buying destressed Condos for 1/3 of its value. Boom and bust. But the bust is now extremely short. The house I own has gone up 10 times.
