Well i live in Miami Florida since 1991 ,at that time a gallon of gas was 1 dollar and 2 bedrooms 600 dollarss.after 2010 the great flodida has become a nightmare where you spend all your time in traffic, the cost of living is very expensive ,and jobs in Florida dont pay none .if you just start make a living, you have a family with 3 kids, you wont afford to make it because your budget would be limited. I mean ,lot a realtors would say Florida has a nice weather, but would never say the negative part.people please think before you make any decision and dont wait later to say i regret it.10 years i said to my wife, let move somewhere else where we could save for our retirement, she refused, now she wants to move,i am too old to restart my life somewhere else.
Always appreciate your videos...and especially your no nonsense tell it like it is NY/NJ delivery. .. lol. I'm here in NYC, retired guy, and have been thinking a great deal of moving to Ft Lauderdale. (Broward county being the only one I would look at, after giving other areas in FL very much consideration) However, my front runner move to area right now is the Hudson River Valley, looking at towns there now. I figure I could snow bird it down to FL.... for me actually living there as a primary residence is problematic. We'll see. Again, love your videos!
Twenty-five years in Palm Beach County and got out last year. But just moved up north to the Space Coast! Brevard County. Quieter. Some areas less traffic. Melbourne has traffic problems but road work is happening. Now seven miles from the ocean. And hurricane-impact windows, so all set! South Florida too busy!
I am a fourth generation south Floridian. We had to move in 2017 for my husband's work but we want to move back bc we have kids now and really miss our families. We can't afford it so I am keeping tabs on the market and hoping we have some kind of change to make that possible.
I understand you're definitely not alone. If you want to keep tabs on the market and just what's going on in general, you might like the weekly newsletter that I put out every Wednesday morning. bit.ly/southfloridanews
I’m in Houston and ya know what I’d take snow over asphalt jungle any day! Quality of life in Houston stinks. I still have Seasonal depression! It’s so hot here if it’s hot your inside Cold? We’re inside
Idaho… Left the I4 state for multiple reasons. No mountains, fl is flat as a pancake. Attitude of population, Floridians think they are the 8th wonder of the world. Moral values, big Florida cities are too liberal for my taste. Heat, Florida heat is just intolerable. If you live in Florida that A/C is turned on all day long. Joneses, Florida neighborhoods are a constant keeping up w the Joneses. In all… Fl wasn’t for me.
Where are you watching from?
Just north of Boston

To be honest the houses in the carribbean are made with cement on the outside a lot sturdier than stucco. The new houses are cheaply made.
It heavily depends on the builder but yes, some of the newer construction is made with cheaper materials for sure
I live in hudson florida. Times have changed people change ?
Thats all it is. Things and people evolve over time
But Florida has devolved. We have gone backwards. Yankees screwed it up. @@livingsoflo
