My word! What an AMAZING flaw - the Magnetic sensor plates can be removed from the OUTSIDE! Mean, leaving the key hanging free for all to grab is also quite disappointing in terms of security. GREAT episode! (Wonder how much of the flaw in de safe detail are a little over done to keep it spicy?)
When i saw the title I knew it was the Antwerp Jewel Heist btw I’m Belgian and I didn’t knew much about my own city’s biggest heist so this video is really helpful!

Speaking as an engineer which deals in electromagnetism. I can say that the design of magnetic field lock was very lazy. If they only had a design that would measure the resistance and inductance of the load (being the door) this could all have been avoided. (this solution is very cheap and is used in regular induction hobs).
