3/7/24: TWO THUMBS UP!! This was awesome, SO informative and useful. I especially love the mitered and floral techniques w/black backings. Thank you so much for taking the time to show how these cuts are done.
I loved this video. Number 2 is usually my ‘go to’ method but need to try number 5 as have always admired the look in your albums and wondered how you did it.
I really enjoy and learn a lot from your tutorials! Your are very talented! Thank you! I love the paper saving methods! I will certainly use them! As for #4, I’m visually impaired so I cut it using my Cricut. Frames are easy to make with it. I love, love, love # 5, but I can’t see well enough to fussy cut (I usually talk my daughter into doing it for me!) TFS!
Thank you so much! Yes, using a Cricut for the frames will definitely make it easier! If I just had one.... How sweet of your daughter, helping you out!
This an awesome tutorial! Thank for putting all this effort to explain. I never try acetate frames because it looks complicated to me. Thanks for sharing 💕
Thanks a lot ☺️ very helpful video, I really wanted to know how you made frame #5 now I have understood and your explanation is very clear 🥰 very grateful for your videos 🌷💐🌹🇦🇺💕
Thank you Yvanca!! I struggle to make mine look nice so this is a godsend!!! I don’t know why, but anything that is in the slightest bit “off” re measurements just throbs like a sore thumb and is what my eye is drawn to in my own work! These tips will be so helpful!!
I know I have the same thing, but honestly we are our own worst critics!! And sometimes we just have to embrace the small bits that are "off" (even though that is really really difficult...)
I've never attempted the 5th frame style, it's great to have seen this demonstration Yvanca, thank you...I feel like I can have a good attempt at it now 😃 Suzy
Thank you for sharing these techniques with us.. 🙂🙂 Can you please share the final walk-through of your hinged folio tutorial with the stamperia celebrations paper pads? I wanted to see the final outcome...
If I had it I would... Friday I will have the first decorating part uploaded. I will do all the decorating in videos as well and I also still need to make the closure bellybands. Of course there will be a final walk-through as well.
I have done the 5th frame before but pieces I have cut out and added after. It looks stunning. My question though, you say if you pick a frame style stich with it for continuity but does that go for the 5th frame as well? It's not to much? LOVE, love, love the black border hack!
I do that to sometimes, where you just add something to it and it looks like one piece. You are right, all the frames with #5 would be to much, although I don't hold back from doing more than 1 in an album. I would combine it with #4 so the corners have the same "finish"
Thank you so much for this video. All the techniques are great but your signature cut with the florals are amazing. I’ll be giving this a try for sure. I’m assuming you cut your own frames. Do you have any tips for cutting the center out evenly?
Thank you so much! Yes I cut them myself most often in pockets or chipboard frames. I draw my frame on the back (bumpy side) and cut it with a ruler and knife. In the first page tutorial for the hinged folio I show it. ua-cam.com/video/XNn3ETQSneU/v-deo.html
It can be done with both. In this case its just cardstock for demonstrating. I often make frames in pockets in my projects, it will be cardstock then. Or I make a shaker window frame and that will be chipboard wrapped with cardstock.

Is the frame base just made out of cardstock or is it chipboard?
