Looks good. I have yet to fill up my square bale inventory but this coming week weather is looking good. We feed our round bales to the horses in nets. Keeps them from over eating.
Hey Ben, hope you can get thar extra property of small squares. But definitely don't beat yourself up on smaller numbers. We are battling lower numbers of round bales here. Good lord will see us thru. Alot of us have been caught with dryer than normal weather. You run a hell of a operation with your farm and confident you'll pull thru on numbers. Us farmers have to stick together and keep each other's back. God bless and see you next time
Thanks for the loft tour Ben- just like the straw- I have fed out round bales in the same fashion- agreed that it's more work for sure but it gets the stock which is the main thing
I live back east and in 1999 we had a very bad drought here in Pa. The state or someone brought hay in from out west. There was guys taking chainsaws to round bales to feed in the bank barns we have here in the east. They were using vegetable oil for chainsaw lube. We were fortunate to get small bales at that time.
Mr. Ben I am just spit-balling here, but could your sorghum crop have been stunted from using the soybean straw? I didn't know if the remnants from the Round -Up would have any effect on it. Not sure of anything, just a country boy from Missouri. Stay safe and God Bless

Wondering how hay stays dry with such a gap between barnboards
If push comes to shove, you can always cut a 4x5 bale. Is pap Veeser going to have a covered round bale feeder?👍
