Veeser Cattle Co.
Приєднався 1 лют 2017
At 40 years of age I have decided to change chapters in my life by letting go of my career in railroading & taking over the family farm. The Veeser Farm was established in 1882 & I will be the 5th generation. I have decided to start a UA-cam channel as I have followed many of you for a year now & to also share my adventures, trials & tribulations along the way. I was born & raised on this farm to find myself after high school wanting something different. I have lived the outside world to the fullest & it is now time to come back to the farm.
Veeser Farms & Cattle Co is located in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. We specialize in an Angus beef herd, raising Holstein feeder steers & Holstein springer heifers to dairy operations. We grow all of our own feed such as corn, corn silage, barely, hay & balege. In the event of a good hay crop we do consider hay sales.

Glad your back Ben!! Enjoy your farm and your channel
Glad you are back! I enjoy your videos!
Set your discbine to its highest height. Really helps keep the sorghum up off the ground. Does alot drying down the product.
Mix in some forage oats and climbing peas to help sweeten up the taste works well for us
How about a moisture meter for VCC to get the perfect baleage results?
Like winter rye for cover crop, easier on the wallet
Next of kin find some SD cards?
So glad your back brother!! Missed your farm updates!!!
Rake does a great job Ben
Good luck raking and baling your hay Ben
Great video Ben
Awesome looking rake Ben
Great to see you back buddy!
Trump loves Michigan! Welcome back!
Good to see you back
Good to see ya Ben, hope ya get your 40 4x5’s and then some, take care hoss. By the way, like the H&S 12 wheeler👌🏻🇺🇸💪🏻
Welcome back ben
Glad to see your back on the airwaves.Ben ,with the Rye.You're gonna love it?Would suggest some Rye grass Along with the cereal, Rye also bearcat Clover loves to be grazed and gives you something later in the summer.. One tip when the rye hits 456 inches.Drop everything you're doing and get cows on it NOW. If it's possible to strip Graze I suggest it rye will bounce back much quicker and you'll get Several passes... Also, my experience temporary roll up fencing seems to be hotter than standard wire. You can get hooked on rye Always enjoy the vids
Great video. Would be amazing to have grass like that right now huh. Lol. Can't wait for more videos
Did you get your rye in that what i was thinking before you said it
Nice to see you Ben. Have a good day
Glad to have you back. Didn’t receive any notifications of new posts after late May, so a few times a month I would go back and check if there were any new posts. Late this afternoon one popped up. I sure missed the videos of the long black line going out to a new paddock through the summer/early fall months! (I milked cows the first 65 years of my life. After 15+ years I still miss them!) I was always thinking of you, hopping everything was going ok with you and family. Friends and myself are hoping again to see how farming and the cattle are doing for our neighbor in the UP. From the Wi. Fox River Valley. 👨🏻🦳 🐄🐄 🚜
Once again glad to see your back on. Maybe even Fred is too 😃🍺
Just so glad to have you back , thanks again Ben!!
Thanks, glad you’re back
Glad to see some videos up. I need my farmin fix lol
I only ever spend money on triticale to make baleage, makes little sense as a cover crop imo. I know it won't help this year, but my suggestion is seed ryegrass with some white clover in marked up yards. Ryegrass will actually get a deeper root system than rye and will tolerate wetness better. Has worked really well for me so far.
Thank you for doing videos again.
Love your video's but also love BUSHhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh. from 1 farmer to another. totally love your vlog/videos!!
Hi Ben just suggestion could you seed your rye in there by mid August early September glad your back awesome channel
THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!!! Missed ya buddy. I thought I was gonna have to come to the farm and check on ya. Maybe I will anyway 🍻🍻
Glad to see you back Ben!! Know this was recorded a while back but hope it’s a sign you’re doing well and enjoying life!
We need cow and calf videos
Beautiful looking hay Ben- new rake looks to be working great for ya
Sure is nice warm weather there! Wondered what happened
Glad you are back. Any political commentary in our future? 👍
Great to have you back again. Make me want to get the hay equipment ready and get baling
Use to have the same rake and it was great to use but now I am retired but often think about those first few days in the fields .
oh yeah! lets go Big Ben!
My hubby and I have been watching you for years and we were concerned... thankful to see you back!
Welcome back Ben ,Ed from Vermont
Good to see you back
Nice to see green hay in December. Glad you’re posting again.😀
I have thought of you often hoping you were doing well. I just watched an old video of another wonderful channel and he talked about how the shout out from you gave him his start. You are a blessing to him and us. I will be watching for your return ..no pressure!
Was the channel Farm & Hammer by chance?
@@tommclain8100 Sorry this took me so long...been wrapping holiday gifts. The channel that mentioned how important you were to getting him started was Farmer Tyler Ranch. I am fairly new to UA-cam and did not know if it was good etiquette to mention another channel by name when I write about him in the comments.
@ I’ve watch FTR for a handful of years now. He’s got some good stuff
Hey Ben,welcome back buddy,Ed from Vermont
Welcome back, Ben. Have missed the videos
Welcome back man good to see you buddy. We had a stellar Hay season way up here in a great Northeast too congratulations on your life change I guess the best way to put it lol sometime in between these summer videos, I hope to see you put up a recent one to maybe talk about how things are going. Again great to see you, Buddy. I hope you keep making more videos.
Sounds like you had a great hay crop. Always nice when you are thrilled with a new piece of equipment
92 rounds in a 18 acre field? Shuwee
Rake does a nice job but puts a lot of ash in hay might be an issue if you have dairy guys
