Thank you! I have a fantastic Thanksgiving and many things to be thankful for after the last 2 years of the virus which I still refuse to name.
So happy to see Dan looking so well again. Next time you’re having things go wrong take a deep breath and when you breathe out say “ahhhh”. Like a big sigh. This opens up your throat chakra and connects your head to your heart and brings you back into the present. Look around you and see all the things that are good in your life at that moment and that will break the cycle of negative energy that builds up if things keep going wrong. It works for me every time. 😊

It is nice to see Dan feeling better! It is fun to hear Dan talking of football, I don't remember hearing the New England Patriots mentioned. ;) Traffic can be so frustrating and can turn your whole day upside down! Glad your day turned around in the end. Phoebe was so cute with her quote!

Thanks for your Happy Thanksgivings! The weather here has been so beautiful this past week so I was able to get out with my little dog for a lovely Thanksgiving walk. I am so pleased to see Dan looking so much better; I so hope the drs can get him sorted. 😀🍁🇨🇦

Merino wool has a short staple length and is a little “slick”. It can be more challenging to spin with. I find on my wheel I have to move my hands closer together to make sure the twist is grabbing within the length of the fibers. Otherwise the the fiber just gets away from me. Once I found the adjustment needed it got much easier. Good luck!

Sorry to hear you had a bad start to your day :( I'm glad it got better, and I want you to know you always brighten up my day. It's been great watching your daily vlogs this month as they cheer me up and distract me from health and uni problems. I made green tomato chutney with the last of my tomatoes in Australian autumn, though I think yours looks nicer, may have to try your German recipe....
Dan you should check out Aussie rules footy, I've gotten really into it in the last few years. The women's season is running at the moment, though I'm afraid i've no idea if/how you can watch it in the UK, though I'd think so as I know lots of Irish players come down here to play since it has some similarities to Gaelic football. The most important thing to know is the hawks are the best team.

Glad that your day turned out a bit better at the end of day. We are still in drought conditions level 5 (extremely high for us in Vancouver) and no rain in sight. Our salmon are starting their run back up the rivers to spawn from the ocean and many are dying as the water levels are really low. Thanksgiving weekend has been wonderful for family and multiple turkey dinners with all the favourite foods. Thank you for your vlog…means so much. Hope Dan gets better.

Hi Ali - I'm really enjoying the Vlogtober, I always love them. I don't always comment because lots of times I'm watching them while I'm (supposed to be) working! I think our weather is finally going to turn this week but we still have a few more days of temperatures in the 80's (26C - 28C) in southern Oregon. I like the extended warmer weather from where we moved from last year - Washington state. I planted a garden this year for the first time in my life and am having fun making recipes with all my tomatoes and canning them as well. I've made ketchup, BBQ sauce, pizza sauce and marinara sauce, plus lots of blackberry jam from all the free blackberries we have on our 5 acre property. See you tomorrow!

It’s okay to have a bad day, and if you’re comfortable with sharing that, it shows others that they’re not alone. Life isn’t perfect and social media can make it seem like other people are having the best time ever, when behind closed doors they are struggling. I hope you have a better day tomorrow x

Its so fustrating when things dont go to plan, hope Dans recovered from his blood loss! 😉 meat, fish, eggs and dark chocolate are high in iron and help hemogoblin production. Hagelslag in yogurt is delicious! As a Dutchie, I should say that you need to put way more hagelslag on your toast than I saw in your vlog the other day. Basically cover your toast in hagelslag 😊 In Denmark they even put thin slices of chocolate on their toast. I’m a bit jealous 😂
Hagelslag also very delicious sprinkled on top off whipped cream (like fruit with whipped cream or a hot chocolate)
Well if that's the proper way then I must oblige! More chocolate!! Sprinkling it on hot chocolate is such a good idea! Might suggest this for the weekend xx
My husband also had 14 tubes of blood taken! Too much. You may not have enough twist in your yarn and that is why it keeps breaking. There are so many wonderful tutorials out there. I hope you continue on this journey. It is one of my favorite hobbies.

I feel your pain, Dan. Two different specialists did blood draws on me in one week taking 18 vials. They gave me orange juice to drink when they realized how much was drawn in a couple of days. I joked and asked if I could go to the blood bank for a refill so they declared me safe to drive home. Now I try to get all my doctors to share tests results 😉

Lovely family 💖 Ali on 16th of October, please can you wish our daughter Ellen and son in law Joe a happy first anniversary. They are currently on their delayed honeymoon in Florida Disneyland for two weeks but still watching your vlogs. Ellen knits/crochets and got me into watching you in the first place. Thank you xx

Well if you have an audio book with you all the time perhaps the bad days can be a bit better. Not that you'll get all the errands and housework done, but it takes the edge off the frustration of crazy traffic. Have a better rest of the week.
