Thanks for doing this again, despite my better judgment and measurements I let a corset shop clerk talk m3 into a corset that was too small The back looks like the two ladies shown. I have purchased a larger corset and my modesty panel reaches. Thank You!
+Meghan M So sorry about that dear! Can you please send a photo (front & back) of you in your corset along with your complete measurements to our sizing team? We would love to help you out with that! Their email is info@orchardcorset.com Thank you!
ME TOOO i just got mine today and it was wayyyyy too small. I also used the sizing experts. My thing is they use BBW woman with flat stomachs to help do measuring videos and not someone with lust of flab or pouches. The I gave the expert 2 sizes for my natural waist and i explained one was measuring around the fat and the other pretty much between and i thought well ... logically i feel i would want the one around since its not like the corset is going between but they sad go with the smaller size.... kinda upset since we pay for returns and for shipping with signatures (they dont replace if stolen or lost) and to get it faster etc.
what waist trainer do you recommend with these measurements ? under bust - 41 inches Small waist - 40 inches belly button area - 42 inches hips- 45 inches torso - 15 1/2 inches ? I have a vary narrow body as I'm square but want to have that perfect hour glass figure.
Can you hop on our corset sizing page? We'd like to get your squished waist measurement and make sure that you measured your torso correctly. Thank you! www.orchardcorset.com/pages/corset-sizing
i am a 32 inch waist and i just ordeted a size 38-40 corset that is supposed to be for 30-31 inch. do you think that itll fit? will it be too small? im worried now.
***** Just tried all three on! The only one I have a question about is CS-345, I have it in a size 40, and it feels so comfortable, but just on this first lacing, I am at the modesty panel with no extra inches showing like in the plus size model in the video. Should I exchange for a 38? Or is it okay?
Another GiGi I'd suggest that you send a picture of it to our sizing experts at info@orchardcorset.com. Usually on the first lacing you'd have a bit of space between the corset and the modesty panel in a 40 and I'd hate for you to spend the time and money seasoning a corset that ended up being too big.
Just for reference, about how much do you weigh. I think I weigh the same and I'm not sure if I should get a 22 or 20 inch corset. I have a natural waist of about 24
+Mackenzie Joseph Weight doesn't typically have an affect on corset sizing. To be most accurate, we like to get your complete measurements (underbust, natural waist, upper hips & seated torso length) to recommend the proper fit for your figure.
"that would be to much, especially if you have a leaner frame", from the corset that's too small. I completely aggree with that... But why do you still recomend the same reduction even for us petite women??! I sent my measurements to you, wrote that I'm petite and not very squishy, and still got back a recomendation of size 20. I know from experience that 20 is to small for me, so I ordered 22. Still a bit too small... Can you pleeeeaaaase start recomending bigger sizes for leaner bodies? I've read several comments on Lucy's channel from women of my size having the same problem. Unfortunally I cant exchange it since I'm an international buyer (or maybe I could, but it would be way too expensive).... A size 20 on my body (27-26 1/2-35) would be waaaaay off.
+theoretically09 Hello! Would you please email our customer service team so that we can better assist you? If there is a learning opportunity here we would love to check our suggestions. Thank you and take care!
Where should the bones hit on a corset, as you mentioned for the "too small" part? I'm worried my corset might be too small even though the modest panel is exactly is how you said it should be. I don't know why but the boning just feels odd, but it could also be because since the first time I put my corset on to season it, the busk hasn't been straight down at all and is actually a bit tilted to the side, I think because the top part lifts on one side more than the other (since it's unseasoned and doesn't fit my form yet)
+LadyConqueress Are you referring to the flat back bones on either side of the laces? For most people, they feel like they line up with your shoulder blades. It's a little tricky to describe, you don't want them to be near to your sides at all, that's very uncomfortable! If you'd like to send us photos of you in your corset (front and back) we can double check the fit of it and be sure that it's a good corset for your body. You can email us at info@orchardcorset.com
***** I have a cs 201 corset because I have a short torso (despite being tall). I think I am misusing corset terms but the front doesn't seem to line up vertically and tilts to the side a bit so I am wondering if that is also a problem. I will try to take pictures and send them if I can
I am so so so glad that you guys have videos to help us that are just starting out. Quick question, my waist is 33' (i know im huge, i have kids) under bust is 36 and hips are 42, what size should i get? I was about to order a 28, but i read i should get a 26 instead. What size should I order?
Thank you for the reply, I am more than pleased with your customer service, I JUST got an email from one of your reps Thank you for shopping Orchard Corset. I am more than happy to help you find the perfect corset for your body. Based on the measurements you gave me I would recommend a size 26 in the short or long 426, 301 or 201. She suggested the 26, based on my measurements, im torn here. I suppose I can go with that one and hope for the best. One last question, do i have to order the straps/laces (sorry im not sure what they are called) separately? Thank you once again.
nancy s Well, I'll be honest, I was on the fence about recommending a 28 or a 26 for you (as I mentioned I felt like you were borderline). Strictly based on measurements you would be a 26, but your comment about just starting out tipped the scales for me to recommend a 28. I think a deciding factor for you will be 'squishiness' ;) If you are pretty squishy, go with a 26, it might seem just a little small at first, but will likely season out just fine. If you are pretty firm and this is your first time corseting you may want to go with a 28. I'd love it if you would report back on your experience.
I went ahead and ordered the 26, Ive tried waist cinchers in the past, so I think ill be able to handle a corset, atleast I hope haha. As soon as i get it ill be sure to send a picture your way. Thanks again for everything, it was very helpful.

So when you refer to the gap you mean the gap between the modesty panel and the other end? Right? I ask cause I have a size 22 over bust corset and the gap between the modesty panel and the other end is 3 inches. Now I have had this corset for a year or 2 but I only wear it once a year for the renaissance fair. I gained weight so was worried it wouldn't fit but it still seems to work. However I don't want to ruin it, so just checking.
Hi Angela, if it's just for fashion and you're still comfortable in it - a gap of that size in the back isn't a deal breaker. Can you send our team a photo (front and back) in the corset? They can help you out once they can see the fit on your figure. Chat with them here: www.orchardcorset.com/pages/corset-sizing

Hi Mari, we don't suggest corseting for anyone under 18. Your body is still developing and corsets can modify your body, it's another form of body modification. There are fun plastic boned fashion corsets that can give you the aesthetic without affecting your development. We always suggest to younger people interested in corsets to spend your time researching safe corseting and even the history of corsets to become a pro before you even lace up! Lucy's Corsetry is a great place to learn :)
