Beth is being recognized for her incredible work with her Nyack Boot Camp, where she empowers people of all ages to enhance their physical well-being through exercise while fostering mental health by creating a secure and encouraging community.
The Center for Safety & Change is celebrating its 45th Anniversary and hosting the Rockland Women Leaders Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony on October 4th and 5th.
We'll also discuss the importance of supporting victims of domestic violence, sexual assault, and human trafficking. Joining Beth will be Sandra Page-Cook, the Development Officer at the Center, to shed light on their incredible work in the community. And you won't want to miss a visit from Tina Sloan, Beth's on-screen mom from Guiding Light, as they reflect on their impactful domestic violence storyline and its lasting impact.

Thanks benjamin it cheered me up a little after today's y and r episode until in the live chat Maureen buar and the Ed Lilian Maureen triangle was brought up. Anyway I did watch the day ahead y and r on you tube but no adresing whether Sharon killing Heather Stephen's was a delusion or not I will give y abz r 2 more episodes to adress this if not I am done with y and r after 32 years.
I have just had enough of going out of the bounderies of the charecters getting rewarded and vile disgusting stuff that belongs in a horror movie getting rewarded and to much violence or burning Down legacy homes like the Newman ranch or seeing like days with crazy Connie vinisky wielding knives stabing people and seeing blood constantly.
Or watching charecters not act like the charecters should or gory violence.
It needs to stop in daytime or that kind of stuff in general harding Lemay and Doug Marland and even agnes Nixon had no problem driving story without overkill on violence and even Paul Rauch at oltl could drive story and push the bounds of television without overkill constantly.
And even Josh Griffith was doing terrific at y and r until 3 or 4 months ago when Steve Kent was added as an Ep in charge of production for y and r.
And trust me benjanin I know who Steve Kent is he was one of the mischief makers along with Bob guza and Charles Pratt Jr and Brian frons over at santa Barbara that caused the lawsuit with the dobsons and NBC.
So I will say it again the dobsons owned Santa Barbara and bridjette and dobson tell you no hint Charles Pratt and then go over thier head to Brian frons after they want to fire you that's not okay.
Steve Kent deserves to be fired from y and r and he should never be allowed to be involved with another Soap again for this stuff especially on CBS which still has some more conservative viewers.
Totally unacceptable and especially thus, stuff with sharon and mental illness should never be shown on daytime or even primetime television before 10pm at night.
I have really had enough at this point.
@@gabrielstern4992 I so agree I hated that storyline, but Eileen Parkers character died. And yes, it bothers me to this day as well.
@@benjaminautieri9606 what bothers me is how it was done but thankfully with today's technology I think that could be fixed and Jill faren phelps did say to Alan a few years ago she regretted it and if she could change it she would.
Thats why remixing and resting guiding light would help.
Now if it had been done with a drunk driver killing Maureen and Ed falling off the wagon and Lilian putting Ed back together in the way Doug Matland would have done it that I could forgive but a precedent was set.
And benjamin as I said I just watched y and r tommorow episode nothing aluding to sharon having a, delusion or Heather Stephen's bieng alive as I said with my warning they have a, few more episodes to do the right thing other wize I am done with y and r after thirty 2 years and days I would stop watching it now with what Ron is doing with again too much violence and ridiculous stuff.
But I know he is out and by march I will see Paula cwicklys stuff.
But I have just had enough I think with y and r it sends the wrong message. And benjamin pam long did the incest storyline because Doug Matland was doing it at loving at the same time with Lily slater but ABC made him pull it and of course as jenifer ashe described it art the wrong message and Doug Marland never forgave ABC for it for making him pull that story. As first Gloria monty pissed him off with Luke and Laura as again he thought it sent the wrong message wanting to do a Luke Laura pairing.
Then ABC with loving
And that's the problem right now with daytime again.
And that needs to change I can think of in the case of y and r right now a ton of better ways to do this story VS what I saw today.
The only other scenerio I can think of is maybe it's not Sharon and it's Sheila Carter wearing a mask to look like Sharon while she has kidnaped the real Sharon.
That would make sense to me and would please older y and r fans even though I always hated Sheila Carter especially at y and r.

Thanks Alan it cheered me up a little bit after today's y and r episode and I think it's important today's discussion about domestic violence and abuse.
which can often be tied to mental illness as well with bipolar disorder it ran on my late grandmothers side of my family on my mother's side. As my late grandmothers father had it and was abusive and her one sister had it and could be really cruel at times my grandmother also had it and could be really nice at times but then really cruel and verbally abusive but physically abusive as well before she got help and treatment in the mid to late 1970s after that she was great and still have fond memories of her.
I say that because what I saw today on y and r was extremely disturbing and offensive to those who struggle with bipolar disorder and struggle with mental illness in general and should never be shown on daytime period unless it's a, delusion of Sharon's and she did not actaully kill Heather Stephen's, but even then it still was too shocking and ofensive and disgusting.
And of course today I was trying to avoid any discussions about Lilian Ed and Maureen because I love tina Sloane and Peter Simon but someone kept pushing it in the live chat
And yes it was great acting but should have been done differently and when Jill faren phelps herself had told you if I could have done it differently I would and have never done it that says something and I do believe her.
But a precedent was set for daytime that should have never been set and yes Alan I get stiring the pot to give the actors stuff to play
but again not at the expense of in the words of Doug Marland where the audience goes that's to far he or she would never do that or it looks too disturbing.
Or violent and disgusting or like a horror movie and to those that think that's okay their are plenty of horor movies our there and thier is plenty of shock rock out thier and even in heavy metal but on daytime where families are still watching and possible mothers with young kids or those remote workers who watch during their lunch breaks or even dvr or still or stream with thier families that's not okay.

Just sat down to enjoy the fabulous Beth Chamberlin. I loved her for decades and was superior, one of best recast in soap opera history. She brought Beth alive and her chemistry with GA and all Spaulding family. I been screaming and puzzled why a soap hasn't scooped Beth up but I always said Beth Chamberlin work be a great recast for the part of "Kristin Forrester" on Bold and Beautiful and being blonde and blue eyed "Stephanie Forrester's daughter! I love you Beth.
