As an electrician that does strictly remodels this is an absolute essential tool. ua-cam.com/users/postUgkx0vyBwjtx9GGOuiqUVT2sRoYqmDoNT_RI Being able to precision cut any material with a light weight tool is priceless.I upgraded to this Dewalt 20v from a competitor's 12v. The Dewalt 20v is just as light as the competitor's 12v. I am extremely pleased with the overall performance and battery life of this tool. As far as oscillators go, they just aren't very ergonomic tools. The dewalt oscillators have an offset handle that do make them somewhat more ergonomic than the competitors' oscillators.
Enjoyable and instructive. Thankyou
Chris, Great suggestion! I have had my Fein MultiMaster now for at least 8 years and I love it! As you mentioned in the vid, you don't use this tool often but when you do, it's a godsend to have it in your inventory! I have used it for cutting out light boxes in drywall, removing grout and tile, undercutting door frames for tile installation and a number of other odd projects. It's supe-great for getting in those tight, hard to reach spots. The one thing I haven't used it too much for is sanding. Your video has inspired me to do more. Thanks for sharing this!
RHI Hodag so you work for the same people as Chris hahaha
Wow what a wonderful station. Great job
very helpful video, thank you
I thought it was OK, and useful, many thanks.
Ive got one and just bought the cordless, it will make me money !!
I have the Jet filter you have in your shop there, I love it. I also have to over head air filter and amazed at the dust it filters.
Used my Bosch multi tool to cut out housing for a set of hinges for a gate on a new picket fence. I'm an amateur but this tool made the job so easy 👍
Nice Fein ad!
Excelent, straight to the point ! thanks...
Bought a multitool about a week ago, not by Fein but a brand called Worx (type: WX 680 Sonicrafter). It's half the price of a Fein with compareable specs (costed me even less as I bought it during a promotion sale). It does a great job sawing, cutting etc. As for sanding... well, as with any multitool, it's doable and it maybe has the edge on bigger equipment when working on very mall projects but you certainly shouldn't rely on it to become your go-to sanding tool. The cool thing with the Worx is it has a special locking system that holds the accessories of most known brands such as Fein, Bosch, Makita, Dremel and many more. I'm not getting paid or whatever to write this but since this video looked and sounded a bit like an infomercial for Fein tools to me I thought I'd even out the field by adding my experience with another brand. I'm really curious about the brands and types of multitools you guys are using, what your experiences are and how you think they compare to, for instance, a Fein in terms of pricing and quality.
Keep workin' it!
Nice!
thank you!
Not sure about Fein tool in the shop but this tool is worth it's weight in gold on the job site. I've been using the original for 10+ years. Payed for itself time and time again
I replace some hardwood floor stripes and I was wondering if I can sand finish floor to blend unfinanced wood with this multi sanding pads?? Whats your opinion ?
I have a Bosh MX30 (it rocks) and I am currently using it to remove 20 year old paint and gunk from a wooden patio. You can use several different tools for this. Because there is old gunk (sap + primer) under the paint that loads up the paint removal sandpaper in a few minutes, I went a little more aggressive. I could use a scraper blade, but it doesn't work fast enough to for me. Instead, I am using a carbide delta rasp, originally meant for removing thinset, on face grain, and a hardwood saw blade on the side. The hardwood saw blade has fine teeth and works great here as a more aggressive scraper, parallel to the wood. The carbide rasp is very aggressive. Very. Be prepared for quick material removal and don't use it on any veneer. Since the rasp works much like a rock solid 40 sandpaper, there is some sanding to do after, but by then I am down to bare wood. I used the same multitool for it all, even taking a break to sand my front door before painting. Yay multitools!
I have one and it's very useful .... but for plugs I think I'll still stick to using a sharp chisel thanks
I have the milwaukee fuel multitool and the sanding disks keep coming off, whats the best backing pad to use?
Can I use this multitool cutting deck board? I don't have space to keep Milter saw unfortunately
He only used the one tool, but with two different attachments. Whether or not he was given a tool from Fein has nothing to do with it. He used the cut-off blade with a shim under it to protect the workpiece from unnecessary scratches, then switched to the sanding pad to bring the dowels flush to the surface. If he hadn't used the shim, then he'd have had to sand to below the surface to remove the scratches the cut-off blade made.
You mean like the first blade he used in the video? The one that, if you're not really careful with how level you hold the tool, will gouge the hell out of your workpiece? Which would be why he used a protective shim in the first place?
@goodcat: it's not to mislead. Few people can watch sanding for that long without falling asleep. Granted, they could have just sped up the video.
Thumbs up for all the unintentional innuendos! :D

#Handyjack this just sounds like an advert @Μάκης Γεωργακάκης
another detailed video that equals just common sense
from where i can buy it?
Wish I had bought a cordless model.
isn't this what a japanese saw is for?
Amen
hey ,if anyone else wants to uncover x 4 furniture plans try Jadonite Wood Blueprints Buddy (do a google search ) ? Ive heard some pretty good things about it and my brother in law got cool success with it.
Yes, ONLY a Japanese saw can do this job! SMH
Good tips thanks, now do you work for Fein, is your shirt just coincidentally orange :-)
i just use a Japanese flexible handsaw.Fast and no marring,no sanding By the time you get the saw out explain it make the shim I could have 24 glued in and cut.
Hammer the set out of the saw blade and you won't need the shim or as much sanding.
Good luck making a rable with that tool
Erm, there are actually blades for this which can saw flush with the workpiece.
or use a low-angle block plane in less time with less dust in less time...
Is it in less time or less time?
It’s not the only tool in his shop
Ha it took him heaps long to sand it , so they had to edit and skip forward .

Check Details Here======= *_t. co/EB1PKoJejN_*
or use a dowel saw like it was made to be used .
Still have to sand afterwards.
Tools electric or battery operated
If you already had that tool in your shop, why are you using a brand new unused tool?
+Handyjack capitalism :P
That’s what you learned from this video? Unreal!

Smells like an advert to me! Nice tool, but haven't got the work to justify one at the moment!
Poor commercial. I use pulled 'japanese' saw for this and it is cut in just one move. I use multitool to reach and work on really difficult places, corners, edges etc. Otherwise just use normal tools.
The sandpaper fell off my backing pad on my Milwaukee
why not wtih a saw and chisel?
The use of the shim to protect the work piece from being scratched by the blade is utterly pointless. Just cut the plugs flush and then sand out any marks.
Certain comments, sour grapes, i would say.....when select to watch, ideal time frame is not more than 3 minutes....thx man, Just wanna ask, this tool, if there can be a brush, nylon or steel, to clean tile grout, it will be fantastic - any such available...thx again.
+Anton: Just as a FYI, they make brushes for tile as an attachment to a recip saw
You can without a doubt you can save money building woodwork yourself instead of buying it.
Ahh so this was just an ad... OK, pity there is no disclaimer at the start I could have saved 3 mins
thanks for the commercial
this just sounds like an advert
Nice.
But frankly this is NOT the first power tool to get in any shop. Cutting and sanding plugs by hand is not the hardest part … as a matter of fact I find it quite pleasing as it means the project is almost done, and well done !…
***** ;)
if that tool is that fast why did you edit video? If you had the tool in shop for many years, why were using a new tool?
So all I need to do is go buy a 200 dollar multitool so I can trim some dowel plugs that I could trim even easier with a 8 dollar flush-cutting pull-saw... AWESOME! WHERE DO I SIGN UP AND DROP MY MONEY?
he talks funny like a info merical
+lucy l stfu you look like a orange
he talks like Owen Wilson!! lol
It is an infomercial.Did you not notice the name showing on the bag and the way he talks.
I am still laughing! I can't figure out how I got by all these years without this useless tool? This wasn't a very good advertisement! LOL
Where the hell is the trick? What you showed is not a trick, thats just one of the features of the tool..
Why am I watching a 200 year old clip??
there's a lotta spam going on in this comment section
what do you call spam
imitating norm abram..
Really disgusting and shameless the way this is portrayed as helpful advice, but is really nothing but a 3 minute ad. If I come across more of these I don't think I'll stay subscribed.
Jakob Saccount Hahahahaha
It was helpful for me. BTY, I didn't even catch who makes the tool.
Waste of time content-free infomercial with misleading click-bait title.
wrong sorry . he used the second tool because he got give a free multitool from feine .
i used the same sander for my coffee table. it left a lot of deep scribble patterns. screw this tool. worst investment ever.
That is why you use this with multiple grits of sand paper. That removes the scores from the last grit. If you start with 80 grit you would move up to your next grit and repeatedly move up in grit till you get the finish you want before you stain. An orbital sander would do the same thing. Simple wood working tip for finishing.
Cheater, grinding takes much longer than shown in the video. It's not as easy as it appears.
Flush cut trim saw? plus would cut out the need for SHIT advertising!
So, a sharp chisel will be just as fast and not require a shim. I still don’t understand what the hell the point is for “multi tools.” What a joke.
VERSATILE not VERSITLE
Nothing you showed here was a trick, apart from your editing, go do an apprenticeship in woodworking, that will teach you more than you know now. That is the wrong tool for this job son.
Horrible demo. If the multitool doesn't come with a blade with one-sided tooth set like a flush trim saw, then it isn't the most efficient tool for the job. A flush trim saw is MUCH cheaper and leaves little if any to sand afterwards. I noticed you edited the video to cut out all the sanding required using the multitool. I guess... in a pinch.
Talks too much
