Very informative video for the newbie. Thank you! One advice though from my personal experience. I recommend using the reel for your high pressure hose ONLY for storage purposes and recommend NOT running SH through it. This will extend the life of your reel significantly from my personal experience. Thank you for your continuing videos!
Once the manifolds go we use them for storage only. But until then we use them fully.

@@PressureCleaningSch Hey Doug, could you do a video on using the pressure washer hose in 50 ft section's showing what connection's you would use? I seen one guy saying to have it in 50 ft section's incase the hose blows out. It's easier to replace on site, which made sense to me. I'm trying to figure out all the connection's in a rig and don't want to buy unnecessary fittings. If not, do you have any thoughts on this? Thank you again!

Hey Doug, I just recently noticed I have a small oil leak coming from the sight glass on my pressure washer. Am I OK to wash another house and driveway before I get that fixed?
No you need to get that fixed. The sight glass could actually blow out while using.
Hello Doug I love the value, Do you by chance have any videos on removing the male quick connect on the surface cleaner and replacing it with a female (this is done so you can connect a ball valve that has a male quick connect fitting directly to the surface cleaner or wand)
I believe so in one of the surface cleaner videos. Just need two wrenches to change out the fitting at the gun of the surface cleaner. One for the gun and one for the fitting.
Hey Doug if I’m using manifold and I have 200 ft of hose on my reel do I have to unreal all of it ? Or can hose stay on the reel ?
I recommend you unroll all of it. Will help your hose last longer and your reel also.
412 why not use adaptor from pipe thread to male hose? That way you dont have to cut hose.

Dumb question but I plumed my hose reel to machine, I have 200ft of pressure hose however majority of the time I may only need about 100ft or so is it fine that rest stays coiled on the reel or should I pull its entire length
It's best to reel it all off. The fluctuations in pressure can damage the reel and the cause the hose to wear out prematurely.
@@PressureCleaningSch can I use the whip line with a quick connect & just bypass running chem through the reel itself I just pull what is needed & go
@@Anthonysni92 you can bypass the reel yes, but you'll still have to pull all the hose off to connect to the whip line.

Don’t use tape. Shit breaks up and potentially enters line, pump, what have you
Been using it for years and never an issue, but I do know a lot of guys that don't use tape. I've just used it for so many years without a problem that I can't not use it.
PFTE tape doesn’t “break up”. If you’re getting it inside the pipe, that’s operator error.
Why not just use a hose reel that you can buy and attach a hose to? Those have a short hose to hook to the hose bib and the other end of the hose to your pressure washer. You can move wherever you want. What you are doing you're destroying a hose so you can't use it for portable applications and have to buy another hose. This video seems waaay more complex than necessary
This is for guys that have a 4GPM machine and want to be able to leave it in there van and feed off tank, OR, take it out and hook to the water source. If taking it out there's not need for a hose reel separate from what they already have in the van
