Oh I love that theme music! They use it in Tom and Jerry "Mouse in Manhattan", and I love that episode. This is such a cute movie. I have this in a four pack of Buck Privates, 1940, Road to Morocco, 1942, Duck Soup, 1933, and then this! Gail Patrick was a good actress. After I saw her I felt really bad for "Irene" !
Carole Lombard delightful. devoid of pretension. William Powell, debonair, devoid of artifice. Their magnetic appeal as legendary actors readily apparent in this classic comedy artfully directed by the talented Gregory La Cava. Alice Brady a hoot as the dotty and supercilious mother. The opening scenes that I happened to view were a pleasure to watch. ❤😂
Alice Brady who plays the ditzy mother Angelia Bullock was a very talented Oscar winning actress. Check out her excellent performance as another mother in Young Mr.Lincoln. Which can still be found here on UA-cam. She died in 1939 at age 46 from cancer.
