Ernest Tubb Thanks A Lot Lyrics
[Chorus]
Thanks
Thanks a lot
I got a broken heart
That's all I've got
You made me cry
Now I cried a lot
I lost your love
Baby thanks a lot
You told our friends
As I was passin' by
That you're not sorry
That you made me cry
You said I deserve
Just what I got
Well if that's how you feel
Honey thanks a lot
Thanks thanks a lot
[Chorus]
You wanted a fool
And I played the part
Now all I've got
Is a broken heart
We loved a little
And laughed a lot
Then you were gone
Honey thanks a lot
[Chorus]

Great musicians, Earnest appreciated them and let them shred in various venues.
ET was notorious for calling out his band members by name for their own musical career opportunities
I think it’s a habit he picked up from Bob Wills who used to do this very often with his band in the 40s
Pick it Leon .......one of my favorite ET songs.
In his day, ET had one of the best, if not the best, bands in Nashville. He was also giving newcomers a break.
This man ALWAYS ALWAYS ALWAYS had one hell of a band. Talk about a clean sound. Right up there with the Buckaroos.
One of the best of all time..I never had a hard time time hearing or understanding the words he was singing.
THERE WILL NEVER BE ANOTHER GREAT LIKE ET!!
So tight and clean .
Makes me want to pick up my guitar, put on a green cowboy hat and play along! Great song
Thanks a lot! Wonderful! Want more, more, more. Thanks a lot from Sweden!!! 🌞🌞🌞
Search for Ernest Tubb & Loretta Lynn. They did a couple of duet albums and they’re great.
I truly love your music it is beautiful
"Awww Leon..."
My dad's favorite c&w legend...he would put the 8 track in and listen to it all the way to Oklahoma from texas😂
❤
He was the OG
I will listen to Ernest Tubb before I will ever listen to a million Luke Bryans
I think their brand of music just might catch on .
If the DJs would give them some airtime.
Great. Who is in the band?
Leon Rhodes definitely ("Awww Leon...") and that looks like Buddy Emmons on the steel.
@@pipn9090 Buddy Emmons left ET in the early 60s and went to Ray Price, this would be Buddy Charleton, though they do look similar in these old recordings.
Cal Smith on acoustic guitar, Jack Green on drums. Not sure who is on upright bass.
