The reason why Engineer is not scared it's because he has his own goggles which works like Pyro vision but it makes things look realistic and makes the pyro look like a regular guy who removed his mask.

This video is funnier and less gruesome, but I personally like Emisis Blue's depiction of Pyro's face beneath the mask, and its Connection to Corpse01 from Half Life, which Itself was edited from a picture of a Burn victim, that was shown in a Medical Book.
