The maids here fixed rate is 1000 for utensils, 1000 for cleaning the house...just sweep sand mop..that too she finishes it off in 30 min. so now you can calculate how much she makes from 5 houses...damn our education is waste ..I being a teacher earn less than the maid

That was a silly question. My household help does puja in her house before she starts her work in other houses. For her kul devi puja, she takes two days off & we contribute to her puja. She gets holidays on speciap puja fair. She charges 4k. And when there is Shiv puja at home, she too keeps fast.

It's true. Where do these people think food comes from? Someone has to grow it and that costs money. Even an ashram that provides free food - someone farmed it and farming is not free. Someone's sweat is involved. The workers must be paid because they have children that have to go to school and need electricity etc...living costs money.
