AMERIKA IS TALKING [1985] DOUG DUFFEY- AMERIKA IS TALKING: A little ditty i wrote in 1984/1985-ish, which seems to have NOT lost it's validity. 30 years later and the same merde is going on... only moreso. "How much can we endure?" indeed!!!
The foto was shot some years later at Moissant International Airport in New Orleans, as I, Jimmy Messa, Chuck Davis & Scott Thomas [RIP] were flying off to Moscow USSR to perform for the American Embassy [something we did 2 years in a row- thank you, Jim Porter & Graham Catlett... and the US Embassy Moscow] 4th of July festivities. i bleeve i handed my old Canon AE-1 to Leisa [aka Maw] who snapped me, in my rock and roll element, in front of the American Airline sign [luckily w.o the N on the end, which fits the song mo bettuh]- i stopped back in Berlin for a looooong while.
