  • A blind Raleigh woman was put in a frightening situation this weekend after an Uber driver dropped her off at the wrong location - and left her there.

This is totally unacceptable and I can't understand what would prompt someone to do something so vile. This scenario is scary for anyone let alone someone on the blindness spectrum. I hope the driver is penalized and I also hope this incident sparks a conversation about disability and safety.

i ubered a blind woman once.
drove her to Kaiser and i thought that was it..
when i noticed that nobody at kaiser would assist her, i parked my car and i walked her to her hearing aid appointment and waited...
after she got new hearing aids, the receptionist asked if i could uber her back home 💀
i said im just a Uber driver. and i hit the drop-off button 30 minutes ago...
but i was already there, and the dumb receptionist looked like she wasnt going to take care of this blind lady, so i drove the lady to CVS because she said she needed to pick up a prescription, then drove her back to her apartment and walked her to her door..
so that was my good deed of the day.
    we're not all terrible people.
I'd feel guilty leaving somebody like that.

I'm not doing all that; and most people arent tipping accordingly. If you wanna waste your time or money, do you.

@@MsSarcasticityyou could be an elderly person one day, what you just said some young person could feel that way and not help you in your time of need. Be careful what you put out in the universe it comes back to you

@@meangreen6044 don’t be silly. Money still needs to be made. I’ve been an Uber driver for over 9 years and every blind person I’ve dropped off doesn’t need additional help if you just take them to their destination.
Elderly and handicapped are still functioning adults. Get over it.

I feel so bad for her. I can see and I don't trust ride shares. I can only imagine the
fear and anxiety she felt.He should ashamed of himself. It was unnecessary.

Omg if she get’s a driver who has ill intention’s what is she suppose to do considering some driver’s have done terrible awful thing’s to some customer’s I personally wouldn’t feel safe so I would never get a Uber or any other car service because sometime’s you aren’t safe and you don’t know it until something happens ‼️‼️
