Same for me. In these fraught political times,I can’t get the lyric « learning to live with somebody’s depression » from Fantastic Voyage out of my mind. « Our lives are valuable too ».
The remake of Cat People was definately inferior. I like the 1982 original with Georgio Moroder much more. Let's Dance and China Girl are ok and have cool music videos.
1 Ziggy Stardust, 2 The Man Who Sold The World, 3 Aladdin Sane, 4 Young Americans, 5 Blackstar. Dud - Let's Dance, although, other than Blackstar, I'd put anything after Scary Monsters as kind of meh. A few good tracks spread across a number of releases - all of which I did purchase and listen to. Special mention to Diamond Dogs and the first two of three out of the Berlin series. I'm going to push back with the pronunciation of his surname though. Bo - as in No. Rhymes with Zo as in Zowie, his son's name.
Agreed (mainly) with your listings and comments. His pronunciation is very much to do with regional talking, but I think the consensus is on how you've described it
Can’t say I disagree much. I was 11 in 1973 and I remember well being fascinated and intimidated by the Aladdin Sane cover. I remember my local record store had a display with a life size cardboard cutout of the centerfold. Scary Monsters and StationtoStation are my personal favorites with Hunky Dory and Low not far behind. Lodger was a disappointment after the incredible run of albums from StationtoStation, Low and “Heroes”, and let’s not forget his collaboration with Iggy Pop on The Idiot. Tony Visconti’s 2017 remix vastly improves on the original mix and the band Shearwater covered it live in studio and really brings home what an amazing collection of songs it is. It’s grown on me. It’s a minor Bowie classic, it was kind of lost between “Heroes” and Scary Monsters.
Thank you for loving Pin Ups. Many rankings place it in the bottom half. I rank it 5 or 6 out of 23 studio albums.
I love ur guys videos 🙏
I love Lodger. Let's Dance is what I call a dud.

I am one of the few who rank Lodger above Scary Monsters. I love it. Not a dud track I think whereas I think Scary Monsters...has one or two duds.
Pin-ups. Twiggy. ALSO: bowtie=bowie NOT bow(wow wow)ie. Get it Mate?
