I'v (got a lot of time on my hands) and made a complete list of every song on UA-cam and aranged them afte how many times they have been played. Then I count them from every album to see how the albums would line up. (if an album had 9 songs I would devide by 9, and so on) Here are the top 5: 1: RIO 2: Duran Duran 3: Notorious 4: Seven and the Raged tiger. 5: Papergods Sorry if my spelling is not on point.

I have this picture disc. The sound quality is awful. Hissing and distortion between each track and also, on quieter songs like the intro to King of Pain. If this wasn't a collectors edition, I would send it back. Does anyone else have this awful sound issue with their picture disc of this album?

When I first bought Disintegration and Wild Mood Swings on cassette back in 1997 it took a few listens for it to click with me but once it did I was hooked. Same thing for this record, it took a couple listens but I'm really into this record right now where it's all I want to listen to. A beautiful, majestic, and atmospheric album.

It was on a few early versions of dirk weres white sox, i have a nice white vinyl dirk, which has a poster of zerox, and few more goodies as welk worth getting it, lock up your brains cos im here again, was written about the bad press they got back in the day.

These 5 albums av been reisued by using 360 visuals which they can make it more interesting to listen to as been all done by nick Rhodes there is a video on UA-cam were nick Rhodes explains and shows you how he's done this he is amazing 🎉🎉🎉that's why they remastered um ok buddy enjoy the video

In my top ten all time favourite albums. So unique for its time. The imagery, the music so many different styles, the vocal (pre pitch shifting) is amazing. Just love it.

I personally like the album after a few listens. This is first cure album ive bought on release i got the half speed 2lp version from amazon and i think it sounds amazing also got 3 cd played it first on cd but it was only when i played the half speed mastered that i thought that’s really good love the songs shame only 8 . Great video enjoy. Joe

I know that most people Love The Cure and are CD calling the record a masterpiece so my opinion won’t be popular but I’ve listened a few times and don’t like it The music is compressed and the album is pretty depressing Would anyone play this for a party??? Sorry, I tried to like it but for me it’s not my thing

one major difference is in the mastering. bernie grundman did the the black and maybe the white. the colored vinyl is by someone else. that said...i love it. i though it had a bloodflowers brooding vibe too...which i dug.

The Cure has been my favourite band since the early 80s, and this album has exceeded all my expectations. I was very lucky to hear the 5 new songs played live, several times, during the 2022 tour. I think theme wise it's closest to Faith and Bloodflowers, sonically melds old and new. Absolutely beautiful album, for me, my favourite since Pornography.

Not entirely synthesized as it goes. Plaza, No One Driving, New Kind of Man and 030 have bass guitar, played by Jake Durant. Also, I am convinced Underpass uses heavily flanged distorted electric guitar. I did a cover of it a couple of years ago and analyzed the shizzle out of it. My suspicion it's guitar is further hinted at by the opening sound on Burning Car, that sounds very much like plec scraped over E string through heavy flanger. Burning Car was a single he released after Metamatic came out. It's now available on the Metamatic Plus album. Haunting. Great vid btw. ;]

Im pretty sure the second single was Im Afraid of Me, also not released outside of the UK. There was also a Japanese exclusive release of Mystery Boy. White Boy was the first, and Do You Really Want to Hurt Me was the Third. Love this album

I am on the fence with “7 and The Ragged Tiger”. I love the 3 singles like Reflex, New Moon and Union. There were some songs that seemed just very derivative like “Cracks in the pavement”, “Shadow on Your Side” and “ I take the dice”.

I pre-ordered mine (2 copies) on Amazon and of course I knew nothing of his fate. Been a Bowie fan since the 70's when I was a boy.

Better revisit it. The band have often said My Own Way. was their worst song ever. It was a single but they dislikednit sp much they remixed it for the album As for your duffer? Go listen to Crimes and Passion! And then revisit John Taylor's duff

Adam Ant got me into music when I heard and saw Goody Two Shoes for the first time . I saw him in concert with INXS on the Friend or Foe tour.

Loved this album as a teenager and I think it holds up today. American Science has the distinction of being the only DD song with both Warren & AT on it. My least favorite tracks are Skin Trade & MEP. Loved Proposition, Vertigo, Hold Me, American Science & the title track. One clarification: Warren was not a full band member on Big Thing (although he was in the studio from the start for those sessions, unlike Notorious when he was brought in at the end and only played on 4 tracks). He would become a full band member on 1990’s Liberty.
