Very interesting, at first I thought it not very good, but by the end it was good, but what was the change? It was when you expanded your awareness to include your whole body, prior the top and bottom and extremities seemed disconnected, afterwards everything was integrated. It is hard to expand awareness to cover the whole body simultaneously, but it is easier when you don't have a low stance as uniting the upper and lower halves is the final challenge. Don't try to have a low stance, just focus on keeping the awareness expanded, your stance will then naturally vary from high to low and in between as needed for your body to move as a single connected unit under your will. Moving as a single unit is much more important than any individual correct posture alignment, so much so that I would even say the alignments are optional, it is just when your awareness has united your body with your being and in a relaxed state you will naturally have these alignments in most cases, so don't worry about focusing on keeping them. Just get to the state of expanded body awareness and you will begin to observe them.

Thanks! I almost exclusively focus on Yiquan training now. My Bagua is rusty.

@@hoshibowow I like Yiquan, its interesting and different. I've seen old videos of the first and second generation training, a fascinating art. I believe it should be counted among the internal arts along with TCC, Bagua, and Xingyi.

The best thing about your bagua is that you keep your centre covered which most UA-camrs forget. I would say that you should go between yi chuan and bagua. This way you will improve your body harmony. Remember that without the body you just have arms. I would also slow your practice down until you can listen with the whole body

@@ANDY71171 Thank you! I learned Taijichuan and Bagua over the years, but the movements of each were always ancillary to my Zhanzhuang journey. Now that I have become a lineage disciple in the Yiquan system, I’ll be focusing on Shilli and Mocabu for my outward movements.
