Crazy how the indy 500 has been around since before F1 ever even existed
Even Le Mans were not around when they started.
Le Mans officially started in 1923 and F-1 started in 1950, give or take a year if I remember correctly
Greatest Indy 500 Champ is A.J. Foyt. My Personal Favorite will always be Dan Wheldon
Anyone who races for The Captain’s team is my favorite. So over the years I’ve had many favorites.
AJ Foyt is the goat...with Al Unser and Rick Mears tied for 2nd place.

That was a nice video. Much appreciated. My two cents worth of constructive criticism if I May? You could have made it a great video and production, if you had given more details. In many of the frames, you failed to include the manufacturer of the race car. In some of them, the one-of-a-kind race cars , you could have included the manufacturer of the engine itself... there was no mention of the famous Offenhauser engines. Also, the average speed, of each race would have shown an important insight showing the progress made by the Indy race cars over the decades... But thank you, and best wishes to you
Thank you very much for your great comment and the constructive criticism. This was one of my first videos on the channel and I didn't had the right idea to include more data in the picture. In later videos like the Winners of the 24 Hours of the Nürburgring for example I've included race distance, manufacturer etc. Thanks again for taking the time and writing such a great comment.

Thanks for your comment. I've watched it back and you are absolutely right. I forgot to change the Team from 94 to 95.
Excellent History lesson, Contact M1 Concourse, Dan Fuoco and Michael Lashmett VINTAGE INDY. That would be show stopper at those venues. I have been photographing M1 Concourse since 2021. In 2022 Vintage Indy was one of the highlights at the event that showcased the Shelby Cobra. Vintage Indy is returning for 70th Anniversary of Corvette. Attendees were hanging on the fence and shouting when Vintage Indy took to the track. CHAUNCEY contact.

Team Penske rules. My favorites are Foyt, Unser,Mears and Castroneves. All time Helio Castroneves is the only man to have 3 with Penske and win for another team.

Thank you, yes 5 seconds were a bit short. In other videos that I've made later like 24 hours of Daytona or 12 hours of Sebring I increased the frame length to 7 seconds.
