Nice to see someone else has this camper. I purchased one last year that I had a water issue leak from hybrid doors so bad that there were mold roots of some sort growing in the floor foam! Ripped out floor, rebuilt flooring with a grid work of aluminum tubing attached to the original metal floor frame structure, put in vapor barrier, owens corning closed cell foam insulation and sealed it off from the well known hybrid bunk leaks with that vapor barrier. I also reinforced the floor with angle iron in a couple places on the exterior that is attached to main frame and used angle iron to install steps. Also had to rebuild the front end under the bunks. As for those nasty bunk leaks, I believe I found the simples solution. I used flex seal paint over the seam of the screw heads that are well known to allow the water to drain through the front wall and into the floor. It seems to have worked well. I like what you did here on the interior. I wish there was a place for pics I would love to post the entire process so others can know what they might be getting into structurally
I bought mine less than I month ago had plans for my parents to camp. 5 deaths in one month. So I have to learn everything alone thru UA-cam videos but at least I will be fulfilling there dream. Good luck with your camper there really nice.
This is Jim my wife and I just purchased a 2000 Keewee 17 in pretty nice condition I like your upgrades such as the fan in the bathroom I wouldn’t of thought of that but I happen to have two radiator fans just like that so I am going to do the same plus you added the radio and CD player I would like to do the same where would I find one just like that also the unit to plug-in my phones and iPad and how to wire them in I would appreciate some help from you thank you also on both ends that white knob in the center of the unit i’m guess it’s some sort of a bracket to hold the mattress in place I don’t know also more information on your inverter and how you Wiredit in that would be helpful
Looks great! I just bought an '05 Coyote hybrid and are in the process of doing the same. The work is almost as therapeutic as the camping! Thanks for some great ideas :)
Did you pull up the floor? I have the same trailer and want to install a flush mount table support for a new table in the same spot the old table went..wondering if there was any wires under there?
Can you tell me where you bought your jack post at? I have the same Kiwi but my jack opening on the tongue has two different diameter sizes and I have not been able to find the right jack post. Thank you!!
It was just a local trailer supply store. Mine has two different sizes as well. I'd recommend taking your jack into a trailer shop and see what they have or suggest.
I took it to my local RV sales store and they had never seen one like that with the two sizes. I’ve looked online but I guess I haven’t described it well enough to find one. Very frustrating! Thank you so much for your response and videos! Giving me some great ideas!
Awesome job! We own and renovated a 2000 Jayco Kiwi. If you haven't already replaced the counter tops, try Henry's Feather Finish. It was cheap, easy and came out amazing on our Kiwi. We haven't resealed the counter top in 4 years and it still looks great.

GREAT VIDEO WE LOVE OUR CUB RV TOO 🤗😊THE BEST PART IS NO PAYMENT'S 😆.
Thanks. Yes, no payments is a very good thing. Enjoy!
Where did you get the fan speed controller? How did you connect it?
It's been a while but it was just an Amazon purchase. Came with a wiring diagram.
Where did you get your cushion covers?
I made them myself. Pretty easy just using plywood and stapled on fabric.
We got us a 2000 CUB AND it looks just like y'alls it's our first RV THINKING ABOUT DOING THE SAME THING TO OUR RV.
Best of luck with your project. Lots of possibilities with these old rigs.

How much did you pay for it?

Thanks. Best of luck. Have fun.
Just purchased a kiwi 17a. Do you have links to the fans you used for the bathroom?

How did you know the wall was also damaged. Did it feel soft. We have the exact same damage on the ceiling on the exact same camper.

Where did you get your canvas?

Great little camper. How much could I expect to pay for a fixer upper like this?
It's a cool little thing. We paid $1,600 for it.
Thanks. We paid $1,600.
@@drez20001 good to know thank you. I have my eye on one, hoping to snag it this week
