what a transformation from old to a more modern look what a fantastic job you both did think il be doing the same on my Motor home bring up 2 date also.
Do you live in your RV? Sheeesh, the place looks gorgeous! My husband is also 6’5” and has slept on a queen before. When we went to see a Palazzo, the bed looked mighty small but it was a queen. Thanks for the info about it being smaller. You both have great taste. All the detail and the brightening of your RV looks refreshing and homey.
No we don't live in our camper. We sold this one to a great couple. I believe they do live in it. We ended up going with a 5th wheel half ton towable camper that we love. We've taken it on several camping trips and it's very comfortable. It's a 2018 Keystone Cougar X-Lite.
@@WillMosbey Nice! I love fifth wheels because you get more space. We are a family of 5 and my kiddos and husband are very tall. We decided on a Class A Bounder because it will make it easier for me to drive. My husband is an engineer and works out of town sometimes. I’ll check out the Keystone Cougar X-Lite.
Yeah that was a very tough job. I used a heat gun and a painters scraping tool. You just needed a little bit of heat on the decals to soften them up and get them started with the scraping tool and then they would pull right off.
Beautiful job! Really gorgeous! I bought a Class C Thor 28' E450 V10 RV in April of this year. My husband passed in February. We were planning on buying an rv and sell our place on 2.3 acres and live the rest of our days on the road. I'm 68 he was 71. So heart broken that he passed, but this place is just way too big for me to be in on my own. So I'm going ahead with our plan. My RV is 1999 and it just turned over to 33,000 miles. Seriously! The people obviously didn't use it hardly at all. The entire thing still looked brand new. Even the engine. Got it for $15,500. I'm in WA state. So since I didn't like the old dark wood, I too painted everything white. Took out kitchen cupboards and only kept the bottom cupboards. I'll do open shelving. I even did wainscoting on all the walls about 1/3 height. I love it! I too am doing the bathroom with the tub and tile kit to get the white. Getting rid of all the plastic junk too in mine. Got rid of the stove and oven too since it's just me I did not want everything having to use propane. I will just use a plug in burner and I already use a counter top oven in my home. Better using a 110 than a 220. New flooring also. It's just so gorgeous! One thing great about the older units is watching so many youtube video's on renovating these things I don't see any of the newer models with a full size bathtub with the shower. Mine is! I love the full size bathtub! Can't wait to get out there! I've been a bus driver for many years, school buses and charter buses so driving this is no issue for me. My son who is a diesel mechanic drove it and said it drives as if it's brand new. Happy travels!!
Wow it came out super nice, I really love the windows if you could help me out with that I will greatly appreciate if you can let me know where you got those windows from. Thank you so much for the video you did an awesome job
Great job Will! I Love how the exterior turned out! How exactly did you prime before the paint? I’ve remodeled 2 RVs so far and have not done an exterior, but I plan to! Thanks! 🙌🏼
I literally used KILZ. The big pain was getting off those decals with a heat gun. KILZ did a great job. Then I just used an exterior grade paint and primer.
@@WillMosbey Awesome! Thank you! I know the pain of removing the decals as well! I used 4 or 5 different methods before getting them off completely. Some of mine were baked on so bad, the heat gun didn’t help and had to use a decal remover product that melted them off. But anyway, I appreciate the reply! Looks great!!
So I’m about to start my remodel & have a few questions from a pro who’s been there! Lol! First, when painting the walls is there a particular brand I should use to be sure it sticks? Or just prime and paint? Second, does the peel and stick adhere well to those wall’s because that’s the EXACT print I’ve been looking at doing, do you know where you purchased it by chance? Thanks in advance!!!
Hello! I recently bought a Flagstaff and I'm looking to remodel it, I have a few questions if u don't mind answering them for me! What were the slip covers u found for the Danette area? I wanna recover my cushions but don't know where to get them, all the sizes I find are for couches, and second my walls have this material on them that's kinda like a wallpaper I assume, would I put the peel and stick over that stuff.or do I need to remove the original stuff first?
My wife found the covers on Amazon. And the walls in my camper weren't covered in wallpaper. It's like a luan product. I just used the peel and stick right over the top of it. And painted the other walls.

The only white cabinetry I see in rv's is when someone has re done it themselves. They are usually dark or wood colored. They really need to make them the way people would like them. This was a very nice flip!
It's just such a hassle. I don't know what's wrong with early 2000 people. Same issue with house. The most tacky color possible they used them all over. You have to keep painting them white.
Yeah I completely agree. But manufacturers just didn't want to put white into their models back then. Truth is they barely do now...but you can request it of course for a premium! Ridiculous 😡!
@@WillMosbey still the early 2000 ppl working in those manufacturers probably, or their main baby boomer customers still haven't discovered minimalism style.
Very nice. I’m actually in same situation. I’ve got an ‘06 I’m looking to sell and I’m curious if it’s worth putting the time and money into to overhaul. Could you tell me how much you sold this camper for so I could get an idea of what mine might go for? Thank you sir. Keep up the cool DIY projects
I love that you put links for a lot of products used. Very helpful, thanks. I didn't see anything for the tub/shower paint. Would love to know what you used and how it has held up.
Thank you. It's Rust-Oleum Tub and Tile 2 part refinishing paint and we got our from Lowes but Amazon sells it too. A little pricey but works well and holds up well.
That's actually a great RV layout. Our RV (2008 Rockwood) has almost the same layout besides the back area where the bunks are, instead ours has a massive bathroom in it that's about the size of the bedroom with a tub/shower and 2 vanity sinks/cabinets. My gf loved the large bathroom and that's why we got it. I would prefer your extra slide out personally. Very good.job on the remodel.
I love everything that you have done in your camper. I want to take out my couch and have a box made so that I will have storage and seating space. You guys did such an amazing job.❤

We "upgraded" to a 2016 Keystone Cougar X-Lite so my truck could pull the 5th wheel. We love it and the layout. Currently in the process of painting the inside and it had a small weak spot in the living room floor that I just repaired a couple of weeks ago. No more sag or soft spots! Time to put in new flooring. I might do a quick video on how I repaired the floor???
The Blue Twilight by Valspar paint, is it a semi gloss or what? I like the color a lot and am interested in the type of finish. It’s mentioned near the end of the video at 13:01/17:42. Very nice job on the whole thing! I like the exterior paint jobs I’ve seen you do. Thanks.

You both did a great job. Way better then i have been seeing on here. Believe you may have increased the sale price ❤ especially if you order the decals for the exterior.
Awesome video, thanks for sharing and inspiring me to make some updates. For the walls, did you have wall paper on them before you painted them? If so, did you remove the wall paper or paint over it?
Yeah almost all of the walls had some decorative sticker boarder. My wife immediately ripped it off. Lol. Then we just painted straight over the walls. It really wasn't "wall paper". Just a small strip of about 8 inches wide.
No but when we were not hooked up at an RV campground they were always turned off. I did end up disconnecting the tanks to paint behind them and I touched up the tank tray with black.

I've never even seen this done where people will paint their countertops. I believe if I was to do something with a countertop I'd probably throw in butcher block. It's just a good look!
We have a 2006 Minnie 31c and our layout is different but I’m loving what you did. I keep looking for our floor plan but no one seems to post it. However, I keep coming back to y’all so I’m paying attention. I love the flooring and I’d love to do it in ours. It’s a matter of figuring out how to do it with a slideout. Also how does your recliners work with the wall? We would like to get recliners but I’m worked about them hitting the wall.
The short answer....my wife found it on facebook marketplace. I think her search terms were "RV couch". The long answer...It was this little old cute couple that had it in their living room of their house. It looked brand new. The backs slid right off (just lift up) and that's what made it work for us. Otherwise you couldn't fit it through the door (tried and failed with another small couch). So with the help from the old man, it came apart in 3 pieces, and we loaded it in my truck. It really was a lucky but great find! I would check out RECPRO. They have these type of small RV sofas. Happy searching!
Looks great.. I’m wondering how all the peel and stick areas have held up with the extreme temperature changes that you get in an RV? I’m going to do a redo someday, and I’d hate to go through all that work and have my walls start falling off!
We have had major issues with it in our trailer. I think the big difference is sanding before you put it up. But I have yet to try that. All of ours has fallen down. :(
How Amanda. I actually don't know. If I had to guess I would say RecPro or try Amazon but that's a guess. I've never looked for new or replacement window seals.
Great job on the camper it looks Awesome, love your vids on your f1fitty, i am planning on doing some upgrades on my 2020 f150 real soon, bull bar and old school kc lites... Thanks for sharing.
I love the peel and stick wallpaper! I’m thinking about going that in ours! Did you have to prep the walls before apply it with something like liquid sandpaper or crud cutter? How has the wallpaper been holding up since you installed it?
I just used a simple cleaner and wiped it down. The wallpaper was pretty sticky so it held well. We sold that camper so I don't know how it's doing today. But it worked well.
Off Facebook Marketplace. This little cute old couple had it in their condo. Perfect condition and the backs came off which allowed me to get it through the door of the camper.
Hi love this remodel i am about to mine. Question... what did you do with the old decals? I want to paint mine to but have ugly old decals.. did you remove or paint over?
I removed them using a painters scraping tool and a heat gun. I think there's video somewhere of me doing it?🤣. I just don't know if I put it on YT? Lol
Could you tell me what kind of prep work you did on the out side before painting? Like sanding, did you use chemicals? This is one of the best RM's I've seen. Thanks
I first removed the decals and stickers which was done with a heat gun and a painter's knife. Pain in the butt. Then used KILZ for primer and 1 coat of valspar exterior paint in egg shell.
That Flagstaff was around 6800 lbs. I have a keystone cougar 5th wheel now and it pull actually better and it's heavier. I definitely would get the Kurt weight distribution hitch with anti-sway. That made a huge difference when pulling the Flagstaff.

Thanks in advance, I love your tutorials 😊
Love what you did! Question: west primer did you use on the outside and did you roll that also? What kind of roller did you use? I'm wanting to do that on our "new" 2003 Keystone Outback.

I’m looking into some of the Forest River models, mostly the Salems, but I’m a little worried because most of the interior heights are under 7 ft. And while I haven’t done an in-person tour yet, I feel like that is going to feel so claustrophobic lol. Do you feel like the interior height of this model is comfortable enough for full-time living?
I only had a problem walking around near the speakers. I'm 6'5". My brother has a Salem Hemisphere. He's 6'4" and doesn't have an issue he says.
Looks fabulous!! Where did you find that couch? My son is considering getting a RV to renovate. He would go crazy over that couch
Couple goals. Awesome transformation!!
Thank you!
Hi! Could you please tell me the exact item/name the peel and stick grey shiplap that you used on the wall behind the couch PLEASE. TY!
Looks great.. I’m wondering how all the peel and stick areas have held up with the extreme temperature changes that you get in an RV? I’m going to do a redo someday, and I’d hate to go through all that work and have my walls start falling off!
No answer I guess ?? I dnt see one
We have had major issues with it in our trailer. I think the big difference is sanding before you put it up. But I have yet to try that. All of ours has fallen down. :(
@@Earsandnerds I watched another video and the renovator stated that after a year some of the peel and stick tiles fell off as did the wallpaper.
@@Earsandnerds maybe putting primer on wall before sticking the wallpaper?
Where do I buy new window seals? I want to replace mine.
Hello love your design!! Would you send me the link for the dinette top cushions. Can not find which to buy on Amazon. Thank you!!
That’s so cool… redoing a 5th wheel, neat that no one really shows you how to do everything!! Feel like I could end up divorced too….

Excellent job. Beautiful! ❤️
Great job what a great couple
Nice camper, do you know the exactly paint code for the exterior. Really love the color
Great video
Good guys
Very nice wife
Thank you for sharing with us. You did a great job!
I like the floor plan, what brand & Year is this RV?
I love the peel and stick wallpaper! I’m thinking about going that in ours! Did you have to prep the walls before apply it with something like liquid sandpaper or crud cutter? How has the wallpaper been holding up since you installed it?
I just used a simple cleaner and wiped it down. The wallpaper was pretty sticky so it held well. We sold that camper so I don't know how it's doing today. But it worked well.
you guys are amazing love your work are you coming to my trailer LOL
Amazing job!!! Where do you source your outside pieces? We have an older camper I want to redo the outside but afraid of breaking the plastic pieces
Amazon is by far the best place to find all your RV needs. Thank you for the comment!
Hi! Beautiful work! Wondering how you keep debris out if the slides?
You have to manually clean them. A camper is just like a house. It always has maintenance.
@@WillMosbey Thanks, how often do you vacuum the slide rails? I just bought my 1st rv and am curious how things work. Thanks for the info!
Where did you get the couch?
Off Facebook Marketplace. This little cute old couple had it in their condo. Perfect condition and the backs came off which allowed me to get it through the door of the camper.
me encanto !!! sobretodo el espejo redondo donde lo compraron? se ve muy hermoso
Lol
What is the thickness of the vinyl flooring
Can I ask what you primed it with?
I think your talking about painting the outside? I used KILZ as my primer.
@@WillMosbey yes, sorry. I think Kilz classic is the best and I use it for everything! Looks great! Ty for the quick response 😊
I did use lacquer thinner to remove decal glue.
Really nice reno!!!!!
Thank you Tammy!
What is the weight of the trailer? i see you are pulling it with an F-150, how does it tow?
That Flagstaff was around 6800 lbs. I have a keystone cougar 5th wheel now and it pull actually better and it's heavier. I definitely would get the Kurt weight distribution hitch with anti-sway. That made a huge difference when pulling the Flagstaff.
Hello, I just found your channel and loveee the amazing transformation you guys did to your RV, we just bought ours, 2003 mountain mountaineer (I don't know if I spelled it right ☺️), but anyway my husband and I want to renovate ours as well and I'll be coping some of your ideas, can you please share the link for the cushions covers? Thanks in advance, I love your tutorials 😊

Love what you did! Question: west primer did you use on the outside and did you roll that also? What kind of roller did you use? I'm wanting to do that on our "new" 2003 Keystone Outback.
Could you say the name of and where you got the tub & shower paint? How has it held up?
Hi Ayaka. We used Rustoleum Tub and Tile paint. We bought it from Lowe's. They carry it over in their paint section. Here's a link to it on Amazon. New Rust-Oleum Tub & Tile Refinishing 2 Part Kit White 7860519 32 oz Rustoleum www.amazon.com/dp/B07CB2R1P9/ref=cm_sw_r_apan_glt_i_AB7SS95XTWFXDZBB8N2E
that interior is very similar to my 2004 coachman cascade, basically only the back/backroom is different. I'm gearing up for a full rebuild
Yeah tough to work on them in the summer when it's hot
What brand is the sofa that you found?
Amazing work really good ideas thx 👍🏽♥️
Thank you. We're working on our current 5th wheel but it's going slow. No major repairs thankfully just painting the entire interior.
We now have a Keystone Cougar 5th wheel which is a game changer for us. We love it. Go check out my brother's channel at WHAT.WE.DID. Or his name Rob Mosbey. Best of luck 🤞!
@@WillMosbey thanks so much!!
Awesome and like the renos and the design layout.
@@cindygaudet1390 thank you
Very very beautiful ❤
Thanks for your help.
Great before and after photos what did you guys use to paint the windows
I tested this quite a bit and actually Krylon spray paint worked the best.
Love it!
Thanks so much!
