Rarely do we find someone like Jack who openly appreciates and plays (and quite well) such a wide range of music from Punk all the way to civil war folk music.
It's almost like he is the embodiment of American music in one man. Blues, rock, country, punk, folk. He loves it all so he can play it all. And not for a second does any of it not sound authentic.
I love Jack White. It’s so great that he invited Margo Price to sing with him. Her voice is country like you used to hear from Appalachia and the early days of the Grand Old Opry....SO beautiful and strong. 💜
Jack White is a Leonardo da Vinci of music imo. I started playing his music for my kids when they were still in carseats😊because we’re all what we consume❤. Anything this man endeavors to create, I’m all in lol
She is a gem! Reminds me of a real country artist that I listened to that my parents brought me up on as a kid. Loretta Lynn, Dolly, Tammy, etc. This was great! I hope she really becomes a big star! Bravo Margo!
I always loved Jack, and I am glad that he brought Margo to our attention after others rejected her. I love her voice. This was a joy for to watch! It makes me very happy!
I miss live from here so much. It's introduced me to so many wonderful artists like Chris Stapleton and Margo Price, never paid much attention to country. So grateful this show existed.
Jack I think said he hears the music first, then writes the lyrics. His talent has become an obsession for me. He can do it all. I love his spiritual references.
Several years back I was in line at a Starbucks in Brentwood TN and the guy in front of me had a pork pie hat on. I was thinking that had to be Jack White. Finally saw his face and sure enough. It was during the time he was helping Loretta Lynn cut a new album.
Who woulda' thought little Aledo IL could produce 2 great country artists - & both female!!! Suzi Bogguss & Margo Price! Really nice little town, with a great Rhubarb festival! From Galesburg IL myself.
I don't think most people know but Jack White produced Loretta Lynn's most recent album that i believe she won a Grammy for. When she won the camera panned to where she was sitting and there she was holding Jacks hand. Jack is a living legend and a Guitar God.
Jack White is a living legend. Have you ever heard of the White Stripes? Seven Nation Army is a good one. Jack White is the singer. He also started another mainstream alternative band called the Raconteurs. He is a legitimate Guitar God and an amazing songwriter. Most people probably don't know that he wrote/produced Loretta Lynns most recent album that i think she won a grammy for.
I love you Jack White!! I've listened to him more during the last 3.5 years than at any other time. Must be something comforting there. And my Tom Petty of course. Damn!! Jack!! Wish I was there.
I can't help but think that when he says "And I love my sister, Lord knows how I've missed her. She loves me and she knows I won't forget." it's about Meg. (I know it was long time ago, but you know. A little bit of sentiment never hurt anyone) Because they said for a very long time, that they're siblings, when, in fact, they were married couple. Maybe this is exactly what it means and I just couldn't find it or it's just my imagination, but for me it makes those lyrics even deeper and I love it.
Brilliant! Margo Price is the coolest shit to hit Alt Country/Americana music since Kris Kristofferson, Townes Van Zandt, early Linda Ronstadt, and, Gram & Emmy!
Jack White is a marvel and a mystery..and Margo Price...no words...!! The new voice of Nashville...Country Radio and Listening Rooms, please promote this young woman..this is talent!!
Jack White so versatile can take any person and collaborate with them to make music that last forever. It's so unique his style ,his music and God bless him I love him. Keep up the good work Mr.white.
Me and my son are trying to do cover versions of this and some more songs from Jack White. We are looking forward to see him live in London at the end of june :-) :-)
Well I miss my mother And I miss being her son As crazy as I was I Guess I wasn't much of one Sometimes I miss her so much, I want to hop on the next jet And I get lonely, but I ain't that lonely yet And I love my sister Lord knows how I've missed her She loves me And she knows I won't forget And sometimes I get jealous Of all her little pets And I get lonely, but I ain't that lonely yet I roll over in bed Looking for someone to touch There's a girl that I know of But don't ask for much She's homely, and she's cranky And her hair's in a net And I'm lonely, but I ain't that lonely yet Are you my friend when I need one I need someone to be one I take anybody I can get And sometimes I wanna call you And I feel like a pet And I'm lonely, but I ain't that lonely yet I go down to the river Filled with regret I go down and I wonder If there was any reason left I left just before my lungs could get wet I'm lonely, but I ain't that lonely yet And I love my sister Lord knows how I've missed her She loves me And she knows I won't forget And sometimes I get jealous Of all her little pets And I get lonely, but I ain't that lonely yet Yeah I get lonely, but I ain't that lonely yet
This is exactly what I enjoy about jack white....his broad range of musical talent is such a never ending experiences in his personal styles of talent....love how he is not afraid to explore anytime of musical melodies...
While A Prairie Home Companion was gone as of every Saturday this show has a new title and MPR is proud to say a new silver umbrella icon. Chris Thile was that same great host singer, guitarist and a radio anchor. With a new song, Radio Boogie, our thoughts and loyalty and listenership during a difficult time and moving forward has been appreciated during this holiday season with New characters, Radio player and same great lives of the new cowboys and New guy noir private eyes and News From Lake Wobegon and by all the MPR membered stations of this program. Jack White sings like a man who’s right on the edge of slipping over into insanity
Or drinking his last sip of bourbon
I like that about him.
LOL!!!!!
I just wish more insane musicians like him!
A fine line between genius and insanity.
Rarely do we find someone like Jack who openly appreciates and plays (and quite well) such a wide range of music from Punk all the way to civil war folk music.
and just look at that dobroo ooo
I love Jack White and I totally think he could play punk music, but I don’t think he has yet
@@PlanetHeartBreak Punk ain’t no just music. It’s the attitude and way of life.
He’s terribly underrated as a guitarist.
It's almost like he is the embodiment of American music in one man. Blues, rock, country, punk, folk. He loves it all so he can play it all. And not for a second does any of it not sound authentic.
Jack White, like Bob Dylan, is first and foremost a student of music. American Epic is a must see.
I love how he cracks himself up on his verse. 🤣
I love Jack White. It’s so great that he invited Margo Price to sing with him. Her voice is country like you used to hear from Appalachia and the early days of the Grand Old Opry....SO beautiful and strong. 💜
🦅👒👜🐴🦃😽
Jack White is a Leonardo da Vinci of music imo. I started playing his music for my kids when they were still in carseats😊because we’re all what we consume❤. Anything this man endeavors to create, I’m all in lol
The first white stripes album will always be a foundational masterpiece for me, shaped my teenage years and dried my teenage tears.
Love seeing how much Jack White is enjoying it. Makes me love the song even more.
@Narada C - You said exactly, what I was thinking! Thank you 🤗
Yes, Jack looks like he is having so much fun singing with her . He is really a special talent .
Jack is unique. We will not see his like again for a very long time
ruiznicolas321 Detroit.

She is a gem! Reminds me of a real country artist that I listened to that my parents brought me up on as a kid. Loretta Lynn, Dolly, Tammy, etc. This was great! I hope she really becomes a big star! Bravo Margo!
Stella Apple ....took the words right from my head!!!! Margo is amazingly blessed with a perfect country voice!!!!!!!
james mathews Yes! I can't stop listening to her! :) She's just one of those artists who sings live and revives your hope in country music.
Stella Apple and Jack is The Bomb. He can create with Everyone
Stella Apple - Margo Price was featured on Austin City Limits awhile back. You may enjoy her performance.
👏👏👏👏👏👏
I always loved Jack, and I am glad that he brought Margo to our attention after others rejected her. I love her voice. This was a joy for to watch! It makes me very happy!
Why, who rejected her?
Lucy Foster Other record labels rejected her before Jack signed her to Third Man Records.
Wth?! Why?! They were ignorant. She's Golden! Just beautiful as a singer and 🌟 star. Great Jack found her!. Legends🐦🎠🔮
I miss live from here so much. It's introduced me to so many wonderful artists like Chris Stapleton and Margo Price, never paid much attention to country. So grateful this show existed.
Jack surrounds himself with greatness.
This is why we all love Jack🎸🤠
it seems like jack has a fire in his eye again that i havent seen for awhile
yeah it seems like from this video he's in a happy positive place again, haven't really seen that since the days of white stripes
When you get to play good music with others you cant help but feel good! They don't call it pickin and grinnin fer nothing.
lilppblunt Margo has the same effect on me too!
Jack I think said he hears the music first, then writes the lyrics. His talent has become an obsession for me. He can do it all. I love his spiritual references.
I feel like Jack is like Bob Dylan in that he makes his music and doesn’t care what anyone thinks. More rare than you think.
Love me some Jack White - fell for him during Cold Mountain. :)
Jack White LOVES MUSIC and it shows! What a treat the two of them
Margo's voice always makes me feel pins and needles, man. She's a genius. It's nice to be excited about something new.
Sounds like dolly to me
Jack's voice is aging for the best, love him
Exactly
Margo, bringin' old school back!!! Yeehaw! This was a great collaboration.
Yes! I agree, this is country! Her voice is beautiful.
Several years back I was in line at a Starbucks in Brentwood TN and the guy in front of me had a pork pie hat on. I was thinking that had to be Jack White. Finally saw his face and sure enough. It was during the time he was helping Loretta Lynn cut a new album.
Yes Jack is unique and special. He is a rare find. I delight in his endeavors.
shows true country ain't dead.
Yay for my tiny hometown (Aledo, IL) girl! Everyone is so damn proud.
Who woulda' thought little Aledo IL could produce 2 great country artists - & both female!!! Suzi Bogguss & Margo Price! Really nice little town, with a great Rhubarb festival! From Galesburg IL myself.
She rocks.
Wow , I saw Margo is a 200 person capacity tavern and now to see her with Jack White.... ...Glad they found each other in such a perfect song!!
Jack is awesome! He jumps from Rock into Blues l and even manages to pull off a good country song!!!
Jack White is the best of the best. All the musicians are wonderful - especially love the violinist!
Her. name is Lillie Mae Rische and she's coming out with her own album. I can't wait to hear it. She's amazing.
i dont understand why beautifull women need to shave the sides of there heads to get attention
I believe that’s a fiddle in that situation.😉
I love that Jack White is sooooo versatile, country, rock and blue grass
I don't think most people know but Jack White produced Loretta Lynn's most recent album that i believe she won a Grammy for. When she won the camera panned to where she was sitting and there she was holding Jacks hand. Jack is a living legend and a Guitar God.
Just come across Jack White. Great singing and playing. Nice to see that this style of music is still being played by such young musicians.
Jack White is a living legend. Have you ever heard of the White Stripes? Seven Nation Army is a good one. Jack White is the singer. He also started another mainstream alternative band called the Raconteurs. He is a legitimate Guitar God and an amazing songwriter. And I Do Not know WHY Jack White isn't doing his awe so awesome. Vocals. In 2021😎💯
girl with the violin is my JAM

I'm and Englishman with a Northwest Indian (asia) heritage. Folksy music and humour is the same all over. Love it.
That mandolin player is off the chain there is only one like him, his name is Harry and he plays just outside Memphis TN ... bravo
Fats Kaplin?
Astounding. Ladies & Gentlemen Jack White & Margo Price⚡.
Margo is so incredibly talented and I'm grateful that Jack White and Third Man Records were able to prove it.
Makes me believe it gives such hope 🙏 I'm so glad he gave her a shot too
This is the music I grew up with. I am so happy the these 2 wonderful musicians are giving us beautiful songs
awesome
I love you Jack White!! I've listened to him more during the last 3.5 years than at any other time. Must be something comforting there. And my Tom Petty of course. Damn!! Jack!! Wish I was there.
This is like the conservation of old country music’s live soul...with modern touches...a new generation cutting its teeth.
I need a Jack White in my life. Sighs.
I need THE Jack White in my life
Me too
This isn't about the music. This is so much more.
Lost Mom this year, lost lil' sis' in 92'...I miss them,..this song IS them. I'm lonely, but....I ain't that lonely yet.
Jack you know when to slide in. And hold on
She is wonderful and since I discovered Jack White and he was singing with Loretta Lynn I fell in love with his awesome talent.
Maybe this is exactly what it means and I just couldn't find it or it's just my imagination, but for me it makes those lyrics even deeper and I love it.
exact same thing came into my mind when I heard the lyrics there
And i also, knew, they are siblings, but what you said, made me feel sick,of such a horrible lie.I see him ,with other perception,now...
Margo Price sounds exactly Like Margo Price!😎💯. Superb
Wow another nice Margo Price mash up with Jack White. Love it
This is such a fucking underrated Jack White jam, and of course Margo sounds amazing singing it.
Brilliant! Margo Price is the coolest shit to hit Alt Country/Americana music since Kris Kristofferson, Townes Van Zandt, early Linda Ronstadt, and, Gram & Emmy!
Ok, this is _the_ sweetest performance I’ve ever witnessed, hands down.
Jack White is a marvel and a mystery..and Margo Price...no words...!! The new voice of Nashville...Country Radio and Listening Rooms, please promote this young woman..this is talent!!
I love Jack in everything he attempts to do
Jack White is an amazingly talented man. He should be protected by all costs. There is not one song he fucks up. Your move....
He hails from the Mitten and we are proud of him. We love you Jack!
Two of my all-time favorites
Shout out for Lillie Mae Rische! 💕 Love that gal! 🤩
jack white can put together some great lyrics.
You got that right.
Jack White so versatile can take any person and collaborate with them to make music that last forever. It's so unique his style ,his music and God bless him I love him. Keep up the good work Mr.white.
First time listener wonderful simply beautiful may the creator bless you
I love the direction Jack White's music is taking!
I think Jack White moving to Nashville was one of the best things he did for his career
2 geniuses at work, cant beat that !
Johnny, you couldn't be more adorable than when you cracked up in this song.
Margo can really sing. Reminds me of Dolly. Loved that song too.
T. A. Stingbatt thought the same. definitely sounds a lot like Dolly
She sounds like June Carter Cash Reborn.
Loretta Lynn as well. That's why she named he first album "Midwest farmer's daughter" in honor of "Coal miner's daughter"
I love Jack White. Great tune...I knew I had heard it before....
I love any type of music White plays. He's so talented
I always loved this song and I'm blown away by this rendition! Added to my jam list!
I admire him so much. Few artists seem to LOVE music as he does.
Margo price ; hands of time ,damn good song. Thanks jack .
It just doesn't get better than that, man.
Thank you Jack for helping to spread the good news about Margo,"ain't she somethin"all the best from NovaScotia.
A laugh wrapped up in a country western song. Thanks, Jack. Thanks, Margo.
Me and my son are trying to do cover versions of this and some more songs from Jack White. We are looking forward to see him live in London at the end of june :-) :-)
Your son has a cool mom!
I'd be lucky if I was that son of yours
Well I miss my mother
And I miss being her son
As crazy as I was I
Guess I wasn't much of one
Sometimes I miss her so much,
I want to hop on the next jet
And I get lonely, but I ain't that lonely yet
And I love my sister
Lord knows how I've missed her
She loves me
And she knows I won't forget
And sometimes I get jealous
Of all her little pets
And I get lonely, but I ain't that lonely yet
I roll over in bed
Looking for someone to touch
There's a girl that I know of
But don't ask for much
She's homely, and she's cranky
And her hair's in a net
And I'm lonely, but I ain't that lonely yet
Are you my friend when I need one
I need someone to be one
I take anybody I can get
And sometimes I wanna call you
And I feel like a pet
And I'm lonely, but I ain't that lonely yet
I go down to the river
Filled with regret
I go down and I wonder
If there was any reason left
I left just before my lungs could get wet
I'm lonely, but I ain't that lonely yet
And I love my sister
Lord knows how I've missed her
She loves me
And she knows I won't forget
And sometimes I get jealous
Of all her little pets
And I get lonely, but I ain't that lonely yet
Yeah I get lonely, but I ain't that lonely yet
I just love this song
Love it
Love
😘 love it
One Thousand Thumbs Up.

Margo Price is the real deal y'all
Jack can be a piece of work, but he really has a great voice and huge talent.
Margo price has some great music
To my ear, she sounds exactly like Dolly Parton. Guess I'm showing my age.
Charlotte C oh my goodness, yes!
Loretta Lynn too.
very very very close to Dolly
You're not wrong
Same style but not as powerful or mature, of a voice, as dolly
I just adore this, whether it's on the piano (White Stripes) or guitar/fiddle, it's just a lovely song.
