JOLLY HOLIDAY UPDATE: Menus updated today online and it looks like Refreshment Corner will be getting a bunch of Jolly Holiday food. They'll be serving breakfast starting on January 8th. Additionally they'll offer a few croissants, muffins, and cookies from Jolly Holiday Bakery Cafe, including the Matterhorn Macaroon. The Raspberry Macaron will be available at Gibson Girl Ice Cream parlor.
Thanks for the information!! Bummed the monorail may be closed during our stay, but thanks for the small ray of hope it may open by the time we get there. I chose the Disneyland hotel partly because of the monorail perk, ugh.
So funny! I thought I passed you filming on Sunday at DCA but I wasnt 100% sure it was you, just remembered your Star Wars hat from videos. I kinda walked slowly passed you, really intensely staring but I was shy to be wrong if it wasnt you😅. But I wanted to say thank you for all your videos. I finally got a magic key after your last breakdown and all of your videos are super helpful! I started watching before I went in Oct and have been hooked since. Thanks to you and your family for all your tips!
Sometimes when I'm filming so much stuff in a single day I forget intros or outros or both. Thankfully, I got the outro. I was running ragged from 8 AM to 5:30 PM yesterday and barely squeaked everything I needed in, 33,000 steps later. 😂
It's much harder to get what I need done in a day during the winter because the days are so short. In fact, more than half of my footage filmed is either really bad morning lighting or really bad evening lighting.
Oh I'm so bummed. I'm going for my birthday on the 17th and so much will be closed. I keep missing out on the Disney fairy meet and greets too. I kind of regret my California Resident passes now because so much stuff I like or want to do is closed 😅😆
@@jessicasievers3213 I’ve only been seeing desserts pop up on menus. None of their signature foods. At least not yet. I’m going tomorrow and will put a “New Foods” video out on Friday and I plan to cover where the Jolly Holiday food went, but looks like Refreshment Corner and Gibson Girl.
Heading to down the freeway to Anaheim in March for an adventure with family that has neve been to Disneyland. I hope you can do an update next month so I know what to expect/avoid... All the best to you, your beautiful wife and adorable boys for the new year....
I typically put these out 1-5 days before the end of the month. So this would normally have gone out around December 27th. But I was blocked out from Dec. 20th to Jan 3rd, so this was the earliest I could get an update out. But for March, I will probably have an update out on February 26th, if I had to look ahead and guess.
@@audreyurbano6675 I’ll be putting out a festival video on January 19th after we’ve tried the foods on the 18th. But I doubt I have time for an overview before then as I’ve got too much coming out in the coming weeks.
I’m getting so bummed that a lot of the rides will be down when I come in March 😢😅 these were rides I loved as a kid and I was hoping my kids would get to experience them…..and the railroad and monorail as well as the fireworks and parades…..what’s going on Disney?? 😢
All great update info. As long as Haunted Mansion will still be up at the end of July. I'll be happy. I know they close it for Halloween. I think im safe. Aug 22 is when Halloween begins.
Hi SoCal Dad! Love your videos! Do you happen to have content, or perhaps create content on local public transport to and from the Anaheim area? We are international guests coming in August and I can not find much information on how a family who would require car seats if renting a car could avoid doing so by use of public buses. We would be staying walking distance to the parks, but are unsure how to navigate visiting the Angels stadium or visiting a local shopping centre (think Walmart, target etc..) Any feedback would be so welcome :)
I have not, primarily because I have no need to use any of those things, and thus have no experience with any of it to share. I know that Disney recommends the Karmel Shuttle from LAX. You can also Uber. As for car seats, bring your own, they are free to take on airplanes. I would strongly recommend Uber for getting to Angels Stadium, etc. But you can also use the ART Bus. Anaheim Regional Transportation. I've never used it, though, so I don't know how complicated it is to figure out routes and where you need to go. But there are bus stops are all over the place.
I was at disneyland Saturday and the only thing I saw on virtual queue was world of colors. Is it really that limited or am I checking at the wrong times? Can you possibly do a video on virtual queues
World of Color is the only thing on virtual queue now. Think of it more of a reservation system than it is a virtual queue. You're reserving a spot for World of Color, because the viewing area is tight. You aren't guaranteed a specific spot within the viewing area, so arrive early to get the best spots.
I have a question, I have learned from your videos that you can got to places and get cups of water for free but will they fill up a water bottle for you instead?
No. But you can dump the water they give you into your water bottle. There are also places around the park at water fountains that have bottle refill stations too. Plus some restaurants like Galactic Grill, Red Rose Taverne, Rancho del Zocalo, and Alien Pizza Planet all have places at the restaurant where you can fill up, even if you’re not eating there.
I saw today that Refreshment Corner will be offering breakfast to compensate, starting on January 8th. It's not Jolly Holiday food, but it's something.
Disney has gone from a unique experience specifically made to put guests in awe over details and filtered it down to how it can do the least amount of effort to make the most amount of money. I'll be taking a break until they get their creativity back.

That's good to hear!
I’m so sad I won’t be able to try the famous tomato soup and grilled cheese I was looking forward too on our trip in a week
I finally met you when you were making this video. Just wanted to say thanks for being nice enough to stop and take a picture with me.
Thank you so much for saying hello! It was a pleasure to meet you.
Just came back from our Disneyland trip. Thank you so much for every piece of info and tips! Everything went down as planned!

Oh noooo!! The railroad was the ride at the top of my list :( I haven’t been in soooo long!
Same, it's the best when you need to rest your feet
@ I’ll be going while I’m 36 weeks pregnant so I’ll definitely need to rest while I’m there!
@virginiasantoyo OH jeez! Yes make sure you get plenty of time to rest 😲
And congratulations to you and your family!
Great video! I can’t tell you enough how much I enjoy watching them. Thank you 😊
Going again this weekend, so ready to be back at Disney! Always come to your videos to update myself on the park. Thanks guys!
It was good to be back ourselves, though yesterday was pretty crowded. I'm hoping it dies down a bit with kids going back to school this week.
@SoCalDisneyDad my hopes too! We booked with that in mind, so here's hoping it pays off!
I’m going Thursday on my birthday can’t wait❤
Great video as always! Had a great time at the park for Christmas! Can’t wait to be back soon! Have a great week!🔥
Always appreciate your updates, Traver!

Crossing my fingers for an early soft open for classic mansion! Will be there on Friday 1/17

Traver , we are trying to go again in august. Will we still catch the 70th celebrations? I know they went for like a year for 55
Yes. It runs May 16, 2025 until Summer 2026.
