It does get a little warm to the touch, but not to the point I’d be concerned. It’s all metal body dissipates heat very well. Thank you for the kind words!
There's no flaws to the card whatsoever? Like latency on OBS e.g.; this is in the case that u lack a monitor and want to play the game via ur laptop/PC etc. Also especially with compatibility? So this works on Playstation, from Wii to Switch, Xbox etc., even other PCs? Cuz that's my main issue; usually the price compensates for something else, like branding
It does everything you mentioned above. The latency is on every capture card, because it takes time to process. The amount of latency is what you have to consider. I’ve seen this one to be about middle of the road for capture cards, in my testing. However, the pass through option is the way to go for playing the game in real time. Most monitors have dual inputs, so switch the input to the pass through and keep gaming. Sure, it’s better to have a separate dedicated monitor for this, but playing through the preview window isn’t something I’d ever recommend. The only downside I see is support and lack of software. Sometimes, branding price doesn’t mean better quality. Not saying that in this case, but it isn’t always true.

Hi - I picked up this capture card after looking at this video, and for some reason, the resulting recorded video appears to be 30fps, not 60. I'm using VLC and hitting E a few times to examine it. There's only a change with every other frame. That is to say each frame is duplicated once resulting in 30fps. I've set what I believe to be any relevant settings that might fix it, and I'm pretty sure I got the same capture card. Any other suggestions?
This is a known thing other reviewers have caught. It "technically" records in 60FPS but it's using upscaling or frame-doubling. So you won't get 60 FPS capture. So it's not technically a lie... but it is highly deceptive.
I would say it's a lie. It's OBS that creates the 60fps files. The purchased hardware doesn't send 60 frames per second as advertised, however. What I don't understand is how this goes unnoticed. It's pretty clear to me that the video isn't 60 fps. Unless maybe it's just my computer. Can anyone else confirm that it's doing 60?
@@orbiquityNope its a known deceit that the company does for the capture card. multiple users on amazon reviews have pointed out the lie and have posted their proof. The capture card doesnt do 60, only 30.
@didixxvi the product I received did 60fps. I actually just did a video with it on my stream deck video and it even captured 60fps on that without issues. Not trying to mislead. The product I reviewed and linked did as I said. If they stopped shipping that product then that is unfortunate
nice video, I wanted to ask you if there was latency or input lag on the monitor you are playing on, I don't care if there is a bit of latency in the streaming on Obs, you can play the game in the same way you would play if you only connected the PlayStation to monitor with HDMI cable?
@@Anxiety_Asylum Can you please confirm if there is like a 3-5 second delay when streaming on Twitch? With the monitor, there is no delay at all, but when I look on my twitch stream there is like a 4 second delay. Is this supposed to happen with this capture card? I am aware there is at least very little delay, but I think this is too much? I've messed around with many settings and lowering bitrate doesn't help at all.

So with this capture card will I still be able to use my normal headset plugged into my controller and they will be able to here game chat on stream?? Ive seen so many reviews for others and they had so many different wires id had to buy with split connections just to use a headset with a mic. 😢
When I setup mine it ends up displaying a flickering screen and I don’t know how to fix it pls help!
Question. I was reading reviews and it says it supports USB 3.0 but customer's are claiming false advertisement. Whats your take on it?
Seeing as I have personally tested both usb 3 and 2 on this device, it definitely supports USB 3 speeds with 1080p 60fps capture
@@DarkenedCyrus love th quick response. Thanks, just bought mine. 👍
nice video, I wanted to ask you if there was latency or input lag on the monitor you are playing on, I don't care if there is a bit of latency in the streaming on Obs, you can play the game in the same way you would play if you only connected the PlayStation to monitor with HDMI cable?
i've had it for close to a year and there is no delay whatsoever on the monitor you're playing on
@@Anxiety_Asylum Can you please confirm if there is like a 3-5 second delay when streaming on Twitch? With the monitor, there is no delay at all, but when I look on my twitch stream there is like a 4 second delay. Is this supposed to happen with this capture card? I am aware there is at least very little delay, but I think this is too much? I've messed around with many settings and lowering bitrate doesn't help at all.
Does it capute your voice as well? Or just game audio
Can I use this device soley for video capturing and not streaming? I love the quality of it works so well.
Short answer, yes!
@@DarkenedCyrus Awesome thank you so much 🙌
Appreciate the review and suggestion starting my channel and Looking for an affordable starting option to see if I want to Invest later in Upgraded setup. Question :How do you capture headset mic Audio, is there a proper work around?
How are you able to listen to the game audio if I'm using a Wii or Nintendo Switch? My stream can hear audio but I cannot
Hello, my friend is thinking about buying the mirabox to livestream from her Xbox. From your video, when selecting the mirabox as the audio device, does that also capture her headset mic that she uses for the Xbox or does she need an additional mic as a microphone source for OBS?
Unfortunately, it will not capture the headset microphone over the HDMI signal. You will need to use an additional microphone.
@DarkenedCyrus Do you think this will pass-through an HP W1907 Monitor
I'm looking into purchasing this capture card because my current one doesn't work with my new PC that came with Windows 11. I want to digitize my family's home movies with a DVD/VCR that has HDMI out. What are your thoughts on capturing them at 1040x768 or higher with this capture card? Thanks!
Very late to the party, this may be a dumb question but if I play games at 120fps on the Xbox series like Apex, would I still view the game at 120 fps while streaming at 1080 or 720 60fps?
Any idea how to get this to work for PC gaming > PC stream? I have two Pcs. Can’t seem to get it to work.
Elgato crapped out on and customer service is just taking too long. Think im gonna give this a try
Go for it! I just did a review on another card that has a coupon to get it fir $14 also. Worth checking that one out.
question will this take up more wifi? sonmce ill be streaming from my pc and playing a online game
i have the capture card setup correctly with the audio set to it but i am not getting any audio still, audio worked fine yesterday but now nothing coming out
I havent watch the video cuz im at work lol so maybe he talked about it...but wanted to ask if you can play on 4k or on 1440p and be able to record on 1080p60?
Thank you in advance
Please reply I am just about to get into streaming and I have watched this video for this card and I was going to ask is this card ok for streaming 1080p of my Xbox series x to UA-cam because I don’t want to spend over $100
are there any drivers for this? it isn't showing up as mirabox for me and the audio doesn't seem to work.
What other cables do I need to get with this card to stream my switch to pc/twitch? thanks
Idk if it’s just me but I didn’t exactly what you did but mine won’t put the audio through my streak is just silent
Thank you I forgot how to set up my capture card it’s been awhile since I’ve streamed I’ve been fidding around with the cords and my laptop for hours took me awhile to find your video all the other ones were for game capture
So i'm having an issue with the capture card i can't capture the audio from my console and i used everything you did
Is compatible with imac 2012 version ?
This helps me out a ton thanks so much!!!! Ima get it now! Know itll work with my xbox one and 360 (for older games), and also gonna try to get it to work with my nintendo 64
Hello sir,
i would like to know if i can connect a dslr camera or not?
Yes!
Still a good buy in April 2023?
Still use it in 2023 myself
hey new here I always use Elgato I got 2 of them but I was looking at this one and well I got one waiting for it to come going to use it for my PS1 & PS2 streams I got all the HDMI converters for them so yea looking forward to playing RE Outbreak on it great video buddy I looked at this capture card on amazon but kept passing it.
Hey, hope you can help. I have this capture and it's decent. Only thing is my audio through my headset is mono. Playing games like pubg and cod where you need directional sound is a problem. Is this capture capable of stereo audio and if so how do I sort that out? Thanks
Great video thank you brother!
I have tried as you say, but those options do not appear in obs, I have a mac, but my voice does pick up but the sound of the video game does not pick up obs and I don't know why, I have the same capture device
Can i use it to stream my pc to my laptop and from my laptot to stream to twitch?
I have this connected to a RPi 3B+ (for Hyperion/Ambilight) and the USB out works only for a few seconds, even after restarting it. The passthrough keeps working fine.
Anybody has any idea what it could be?
I can’t get my audio to come through no matter what I do I’ve tried so many different things and nothing have you got any advice?
I’m having trouble getting the picture on my pc as it shows on my tv
Is there anything a little better for around $60?
For out do i use the hdmi from the pc or the monitor for my pc because i have double monitors
OK I’m having an issue with my sound. If I’m in the main screen where I can go through anything of my PlayStation three the sound is fine but if I load into a game it becomes choppy and you can’t understand anything that’s being said or any music that’s being played. what could possibly be going wrong? I was hoping one video is going to cover that kind of trouble shooting but I’m guessing I am one of the few that has this issue or no one made a video that I found so far on how to fix this issue. I actually gave up and used my microphone to capture the sound off my TV so I could stream tonight so I’m just hoping to get some way resolving this
Can you capture the video and dump it in your pc without using a program to preciew it?
Reason why I ask is because I have a low power pc and elgato 4k60 S+ sucks when it comes to quality control... I'm returning the one I bought.
I'm relatively new to streaming. I used to stream on ps4 using the broadcast feature but I want to stream or record Nintendo Switch games.
I'm planning to buy this capture card but is there like a minimum specs requirement on the PC in terms of streaming or recording?
I have a ryzen 5 5600g with 2x8gb ram 3200mhz
will my desktop be enough?
tried recording games on pc but quality is bad and a bit laggy.
I need your inputs.
hey cyrus i bought this twice and everytime i use it, it makes my monitor dark but my obs looks fine, i dont know if the silver one is better or what but it seems like im the only one with this issue help pls
how do i run the usb 3.0 into my pc? it accepts 3.0, and i dont have any 3.0 to 3.0 cords
hello i have questions:
if i says on obs to use like 770p on obs is on the tv going to be the same ?
i want to stream and talk but i can't use my laptop's built in mic is there a fix for this.
What sorta streaming software could I use if I’m using a chrome book and not a full pc
This video looks quite helpful, for someone like me who is just starting to dabble in streaming - though I only intend to stream games among friends on discord. I wanted to show friends some of my old game collection. I don't know what I'm doing and I'm already in over my head. All I have right now is this mirabox, because it looked good, any other tips would be greatly appreciated. "OBS" was mentioned, both by you and a friend, so I may have to look into that.
OBS is definitely the best to use in the end. If you are just getting started and want something easy, start with Twitch Studio. It sets almost everything up for you including alerts. If you ever wanted to spruce things up, it can do that also
