Hey Mike. I’m based in the UK, currently in last year of a Film Production degree. Im a native British English and Peninsular Spanish speaker . Are there any skills you might recommend to pick up in advance of applying for tryouts next year? I’m currently doing an acting course and am looking to begin a wrestling course at a good academy nearby. Alongside this I’ve trained regularly and have martial arts training. Is there anything else you might suggest to make someone like me stand out at tryouts?
Thanks for asking! If your acting training covers improv skills- that’s a big part plus. Cosmetic/“telegenic” appearance is huge. There’s a reason why everyone on TV has a tanning membership and semi-annual teeth whitening appointments!
It seems that a lot of skills and strategies that are useful for "real job" career networking can apply here, although the actual proof of value to be used is a bit different. Like a programmer probably can't just put up a bunch of code they've written like how a wrestler can put up photos or clips, but showing the value you've brought to particular projects is what's valuable. Also, and this is both not related but also kind of very related, will you be making any content talking about the WWE ID program? They just announced the first batch of prospects, and I'm curious if there's any particular insight you can bring on this. Or it may still be way too early into the existence of the program to say much as of yet?
Hey Johny, is there something specific you are looking for help on regarding that process? It’s a pretty broad topic (I teach an entire class about it!)

I'm sure many of us are worried about selling ourselves short, while also being worried about overbidding our services. Great channel, and wish I would have read your book back when I was a rookie some 25 yrs ago. Great stuff, brother.
I saw nothing from it, my reach isn't great on social media through my dedicated pages, my networking is all done on my personal page which is a mistake as I also work as an entertainer, actor and graphic designer too. This means any post on my personal page can get lost in the shuffle of my own posts, let alone social media at large

100% As a booker, I feel this DEEP in my soul.
I appreciate ya, Scott!
Like how got my engineering job by going on linkedin and posting "I AM AVAILABLE!!"
Does that not work…?
Good thing I saw this before I did the wrong thing. Thanks.
You bet!
Definitely spotted a DFW All-Pro graduate, John Doe, in one of the graphics of him doing an impressive leap frog.
Very informative video as always.
Good eye! And thanks!
Totally agree.
A video with Repo Man in it? Simon Miller would give this an up!
I wonder if he’s a TWMI regular?

Hey Mike, Would you mind if I asked something related to this after the seminar of the 15/11 or 16/11?
Are you coming to Quilombo?
@@TilWeMakeIt of course!
@@mauricio2101 That's great! I look forward to meeting you next week!

I’ve been asked a few times about WWE ID already, but I don’t have insight or intel just yet. But it’s on the list!
And what about messaging promoters ? Especially at your beginning ?
