My question is: did you you actually have oboe sheet music? Half of my band experience was them giving me (the only oboist) the flute music with 5 ledger lines that I couldn't even read let alone play without drawing on the notes about 2 octaves lower. I feel you so much XD
As an oboist I was excited to see this trend represented from our perspective, however was absolutely terrified you were going to play the original and that my hubris was about to be destroyed- thankfully that was not the case 😅. Keep playing you sound good 👍
This reminds of the time I was put in the flute section of a Chinese band (using all classical Chinese instruments). I was playing an octave lower than the Chinese flutes. I have an oboe I bought off eBay for $67. It's not the greatest, but it's reasonably playable, I didn't realize how LOUD an oboe can be--the house got surrounded by ducks and even a couple chiropractors (just kidding). I also have a suona, which is a double-reed instrument that's also quite loud--infact it's considered the loudest Chinese instrument, as classical Chinese music doesn't include brass instruments (labrophones or cup-mouthpieced instruments).

Thank you so much 🫶🫶🫶 i i have curtian bangs so i first brushed them to the front, then i took the layers by my ears and pinned them back with bobby pins, towards the back of my head. Last, i just pinned some gift wrapping bows over the bobby pins. Hope this helps and again thank you so much, your comment is genuinely so sweet 🫶

coming from a bassoon, which is also a double reed, I feel like you have the reed too much in your mouth?? don’t get me wrong, the sound is in tune and the notes are great, but seeing this looks off, I could be wrong though!
The Reed that I used in the video was a temporary reed i was using because my main one had cracked the day before 😅. The one seen in the video is on the smaller size, so that is why I had it so far in my mouth. However, I do believe you are correct that I might've had it a bit too far in. I did actually have oboe sheet music for this song. I feel you with the ledger lines tho 😭 i am often given the flute parts too

I’ve bought the same reed that’s in the video the reed itself is like cut in half it’s half the size of my other reeds. I think that might be why.
