  • Wow this video was a challenge! This song is probably my favorite Christmas song to listen to/play and I really wanted to attempt something crazy by seeing if I could play every single part with the knowledge and skill I've developed across many instruments. And after a week of on and off recording I did it!
    Instruments used:
    Woodwinds:
    Piccolo
    2 Flutes
    3 Clarinets
    Bass Clarinet
    Contra Alto Clarinet
    2 Alto Saxes
    Tenor Sax
    Bari Sax
    Brass:
    3 Cornets
    2 Trumpets
    4 Horns
    3 Trombones
    Baritone
    Tuba
    (String Bass)
    Percussion:
    Sleigh Bells
    Bells
    Temple Blocks
    Snare Drum
    Bass Drum
    Cymbals
    Slapstick
    Xylophone

    Dude this is so impressive! My orchestra played this arrangement last year, but I simply can't imagine the amount of effort that went into playing every part yourself, especially with instruments from different families. • @evanbonannomusic
      @evanbonannomusic  5 місяців тому +1

    • @evanbonannomusic
      @evanbonannomusic  5 місяців тому +1

      For stuff like this honestly to not waste too much time recording it helps best to learn all the parts relatively well ahead of time. Normally when I record I just sightread and play what I've written without practicing but there were a few tricky sections in some of these parts that it helped to work out the day earlier
