  • Hello :D This description is updated as of January 2023 and I'd love if you could read the following.
    I no longer post on this channel as I don't necessarily love making cubing content anymore. Making cubing youtube videos is a very fond memory of my high school years, but alas I am a college student now and whether I like it or not, I've grown up a bit. I do see that people still comment on my videos even tho they are years old now, I do still occasionally read them, but I can't promise I will respond in any reasonable amount of time. I am very thankful for all of you, new to the channel and old. May peace be with you wherever life takes you my friends.

    • @cookiecubing1235
      @cookiecubing1235  4 роки тому

      That is the hardest part of blind solving so good question 👍 what you do is you swap with any individual sticker that is part of the wrongly oriented corner (example : if the mis oriented corner is the K V P corner, then you would probably swap to V, then swap to P or K depending on the orientation). Moral of the story is you just swap to any sticker on the mis oriented corner and then swap again to the correct sticker on that piece. If this didn’t make sense let me know I can try to rephrase it 👍

      My apologies, I haven't picked up a cube in over a year, but if my memory serves me correctly, the cycle ends when you have done at least one letter on every piece that needs solving. For example, if you have 6 pieces that need solving (i.e. two are already in place), then in a perfect scenario you will have 6 letters.

    • @cookiecubing1235
      @cookiecubing1235  4 роки тому +1

      Larsm19 that’s a good question :D with that scramble and using the code that you did, you should just be able to do something like a U L. But it’s not necessarily a special case, it’s a misoriented corner and when that happens you just have to swap to the misoriented corner and swap back in the right orientation. If this doesn’t make sense I can try I rephrase it 👌

    • @cookiecubing1235

      A new cycle is when your buffer piece is in the solved position, but the cube isn't solved yet. • @cookiecubing1235
      @cookiecubing1235  4 роки тому +1

      Okay I'll try to explain it differently.....a new cycle is when the "buffer piece", which is the white blue and orange corner in the video, is in the correct slot (solved), but there are still some remaining unsolved pieces on the rest of the cube.
      If that is the case, where the "buffer piece" is already in the correct spot, then we swap it some other unsolved piece. Or in other words, a spot on the cube we haven't visited yet.
      If this still doesn't make sense I apologize, it is hard to explain without a visual. I have a video coming out tomorrow that is a bunch of 2BLD example solves that go over a bunch of different scenarios, so that should be very helpful :D

    How do you know that for example on one block you‘ll look st the orange sticker (letter Q) when there are 2 more colors and letters? Why exactly the orange one it confuses me so much

      Even without a blindfold

      The moral of the story with blind solving is the following. You swap pieces using the algorithm. You have to move pieces to the swapping location (set up moves), then do the alg, and then undo the moves you did to get it there. Usually you have to follow this pattern about 5 to 7 times.
