Yep. Am in Co Donegal…wet, windy North West of Ireland…been waxing ALL my chains for past 6 years..brilliant. ( use paraffin wax-candle making pellets, along with bits of used candles, non perfumed paraffin wax) cheap, simple certainly prolongs life of drivechain .
@@GwenJorgensen No, you’re right. They are training wheels. I just laughed at the phrase and know that your boys are young enough to be riding bicycles eventually!
A little easier to pack than a tri bike in the soft case. I recently traveled to Cali for IM and used a similar case for Tri Bikes. Like the note about the disc break spacers I am getting a new tri bike with disc and will have some things to learn with this new setup. I like the silica tools I will have to check those out.
Question for Patrick on the waxing, I see a lot of videos from Silca and whomever and they use an ultrasonic cleaner in their process. Is this absolutely necessary or can I just use the mineral spirits -> denatured alcohol method if I’m using brand new chains? Thanks!!

The other benefit to wax is that your chain is always clean.
