So good to see a bloke that loves his job. Those Zipp hubs are literally dams when it comes to water, rusty from the factory.
4:35 I've never seen a bike shop mechanic with such impeccably clean fingernails 😄
Cheers Josh and Nic, thank you for the watchalong. Good motivation to work on my own bike 👌All the best from the Netherlands. I hope to stop by again someday.
Not sure what I'm more impressed with, Nic's chilled attitude to his work or the fancy pattern of oat milk on top of the coffee #baristaguru
Bob Donnington used to be my mech at a Holdsworths shop in South London but I'm talking late 70s/early 80s now...
Double Espresso for the win! 👍
Nic is such a cool guy ❤
Genuinely luv these vids
The videos speaks a lot for you Josh. You are a fabulous storyteller 👍
Wow, thank you!
Really enjoyable video. What characters.
Great Video Josh. Lovely to see Nic out on his Vielo R+1
Rides so smooth ❤️
I could watch this everyday 👍
Thanks to Nic recommending them in video after video, all the bearings on my gravel bike are Enduro bearings now. I probably wont' maintain them properly but at least they're less likely to rust.
Good choice! 👍
I spy the Bossi Grit SS, looks great...
Great video, Josh! It's a great peak into a day of work and shop talk.
Cheers, Josh, really enjoyed that one.
Glad you enjoyed it
So Josh, we need a listing of your bikes; and most favourite Road and Gravel bikes; even if Giant is ok!
Thanks Josh something a bit different Really Enjoyed
Glad you enjoyed it
Thanks Nic , Josh , and James , my Redshift stem is squeaking !!
A tiny bit of grease on the rubbers should sort it
Briiliant when you like/enjoy your work
Come for the bike mechanics, stay for the coffee making
wonderful - it´s all about loving bikes
Good watch. Liked the pliers link up on the tatt 👍
Defo visiting when i'm in Newcastle.
Very good. Like these workshop videos.
Good man - protecting the precious bike (components) from drop damage by sacrificing his pre-bandaged squishy toes. That’s the kind of dedication we love to see…
Hahaha, finally someone who appreciates the dedication to the cause :P
Was in Newcastle last year for almost a week and never could find Nicks old Backyard bike shop, there was a little sign by the river but for the life of me could not find it
Pleased to see his has new shop now
Hidden away. Definitely ring us next time and we will give you directions 🙌🏼
For the brake pad, could it just be refaced?
I mean rebedded with the bedding machine.
Possibly yes. You’ll lose some pad surface. But this customer wasn’t interested. He wanted new ones fitted and a new rotor. Just to be extra safe
Thanks Nic. Be well
Is James the guy who trashes bikes for fun according to jimmy and Francis?
360 rides and almost 18000km’s this year already. He’s the ultimate bike tester for us
It's always good see Nic ,after all he is the man...👍🏻
You’re too kind. Thanks mate
More of this 👌🏽
Most work I’ve seen Nic do this ❤️
Someone had to pick up the slack after you left
75 KGs 😂 How dare you!
All those metal plates you have inside you
@@nicvieri2627 Bionic Man
Nics always smiling 😊 one happy guy
Josh has that effect 😋
White socks and sandals!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The Germans gave me loads of abuse when I had black socks on 😬😬
bro you don't need to zoom in on everything it made my dizzy af
Redshift vs future shock anyone compared?
I’d like to do a full comparison with everything. My only issue with the Futureshock is that you are limited to one brand. The redshift can go on almost anything.
@nicvieri2627 you have a point. But I'm looking for a new bike and am curious how it will compare. If somewhat the same I can buy any brand and add the redshift.
@@MrKrekkie I’ve swapped my redshift for the RockShox XPLR fork for about three months. It was great for technical sections. But it didn’t remove vibration the same way the stem does. I think the proper suspension is designed for big bumps. I’ve gone back to redshift now.
Is this why my bike takes so long? Mechanics too busy making movie films?
