Rob.... you understand Ian Anderson as if you were him. This song is one of my favorite... and I don’t know why. It pulls at my heart. It is an example of Ian’s brilliance. Sad song. Rob, you are truly amazing.
Great job. Not cheesy at all. One White Duck is too beautiful to ever be cheesy. Not many people can come close to Ian's amazing vocals... but you did!!!!
Man! another great Tull cover! I love the opening with the door (kind of like baker street muse) and bouree. Rob, thanks for posting these. I am really enjoying these immensely.
Hey man, this was good for real! A definitive "own" take of that song. Not a carbon copy. You seem to get rid of the medieval british accent in singing (especially phrasing) that Ian used to have on this one in particular. You seem to be able to "un-folk" it to a certain extent and get away with it just great. Totally immaculate recording and sound, both on the voice and guitar. Convincing, confident and to the core. Consumate pro. Awesome.
There is something about this song...You have honored it well, my friend. I can feel your love for Ian's work in that you "almost" make it your own. There is a certain ease in your playing and voice...a comfortable validation of great art. ---Paige
I've been a Tullhead since '70 and seen them over 30 times. I say that so you can know I know my Tull. You do a Tremendous job on these songs. Nice work my friend.
Hello from south Georgia U.S. we have not forgotten Mighty Tull. And (never start a sentance with and) Yu sir have repaired a song in no need of repair, bravo U.K.
Best Cover of this Song - really! I hope you still love making music like you did back then and you are ok. For me It's not fair, that you don't share you beautiful Voice and your fantastic Music with us for such a long Time 😔💔. Maybe someday? We will wait.....
Beautiful rendition of a beautiful and difficult song. You are very talented. I could not imagine even trying to do this! Blessings and good luck to you, sir!
I had never heard this song until I was given the 25th anniversary box set as a gift. This was one (or two?) of my favorite songs on the 3 cassette(!) set. Great version!
waou quelle belle voix qui transperce l'âme et berce de bonheur pour cette reprise actualisée et personnelle ainsi que toutes les autres, merci, que fais tu maintenant j'espère que tu continue avec tes créations? yoma
Absolutely brilliant Rob. I think that showed just how well you can sing and play, more so than with some of the other Tull covers. The only thing cheesy about that was the sandwich I was eating while I was listening to it.
Great! I have been too 5 JT consertd So you see I am am big fan, I cant play like Ian But I have others to play too, like Cohen or swdeish ballads, Was nice to hear you! Go On ! / Per
When I heard the door close in the background...I almost thought I was going to hear you say "I CAN'T GET OUT! - Reference to??? Remember - Your way in is also my way out.
I really enjoyed this. Its one of my favorite Tull songs and you performed it it very well. Thanks for deciding to "put it up anyway". I like the way you didn't try to sing it exactly like Ian. Kind of made it your own but still stayed true to the song. Thanks for playing.
Very well sung/played plus recorded! I first viewed your Wond'ring aloud video and I had the feeling sound and video was slightly out of sync. I had the same with this video. Do you notice this? I will restart the computer and check again. But anyways, great voice, great playing, great sound quality! Wow! Next request: Summerday Sands
I just love your voice on this one, it's wonderful :) keep up the good work. it would be nice to hear you sing cheap day return or reasons for waiting. or other jethro tull songs.
I liked that. Your covers are very good. Ian was a lucky git as he grew up in a time there was more openings for good stuff. Nowadays with the x-factor nonsense and that I think it is difficult to find a image that people will respond to. Your hair is very neat and tidy... don't remember Ians being so well done.
Rob.... you understand Ian Anderson as if you were him. This song is one of my favorite... and I don’t know why. It pulls at my heart. It is an example of Ian’s brilliance. Sad song. Rob, you are truly amazing.
That whole record is apparently a reflection of the dissolution of his marriage.
its a divorce song from jennie franks
Wow, I'm a big Tull fan from the long ages ago. You not only covered it, you made it fresh again!
I agree, very nice version.
Great job. Not cheesy at all. One White Duck is too beautiful to ever be cheesy. Not many people can come close to Ian's amazing vocals... but you did!!!!
OK.....I keep coming back to this, and enjoy it more each time. You are gifted!
I've always loved this song. Great cover!
Man! another great Tull cover! I love the opening with the door (kind of like baker street muse) and bouree. Rob, thanks for posting these. I am really enjoying these immensely.
Joe Thomas
Yes! Like Baker Street. We are in the club of the two people who get it.

Damn dude! You would clean up in a tribute band! You nail the vocals and the guitar; no small feat!
And "THE LOOK" too!
@@pauldominic2150 Totally true, and it only took me four years to respond to your comment! ;)
I've been a Tullhead since '70 and seen them over 30 times. I say that so you can know I know my Tull. You do a Tremendous job on these songs. Nice work my friend.
OK...Now I've listened to this about 50 times, and it only seems to get better?!!

One of my favorite videos on UA-cam. And that's saying a lot. I hate most of the videos I see on UA-cam.
Well played sir.
Awesome talent! You can do Ian Anderson's stunts for him too while you're at it!
Really excellent, I really love your Tull covers they are imo the best on YT
Great! I have been too 5 JT consertd So you see I am am big fan, I cant play like Ian But I have others to play too, like Cohen or swdeish ballads, Was nice to hear you! Go On ! / Per

I really enjoyed this. Its one of my favorite Tull songs and you performed it it very well. Thanks for deciding to "put it up anyway". I like the way you didn't try to sing it exactly like Ian. Kind of made it your own but still stayed true to the song. Thanks for playing.
Just got to master IA's facial expressions, and you've got it sewn up!
Incredible creativity and perfectly performed
Really sounds good. Such a great song. Good job!
Very well sung/played plus recorded!

aNiceLunatic Here I am 6 years later (different name), and still melting from your lovely version of One White Duck.
