    Hey man. Let's turn on some Grateful Dead and groove to the vibes, break out the fondue pot, (and speaking of pot), and crochet this groovy Woodstock Festival shirt. Then dream of a land where tie dye never goes out of style.

    LOL! For the first milisecond I though ok no way would I ever see anyone wearing something like this, THEN... You did the dance in the silly way only you can do and....As I watched more and more of your groove and dance I thought; WOw you know what? I could honestly see some groovy chick at a festival rocking this tunic and not only would I think she looked groovy but I would actually come and compliment her on it. The attitude of the wearer, the happy, free, and joyous attitude just as demonstrated in this dance, really accentuate the outfit. Really you could be a wonderful actor because you bring anything to life.

    I will have to come back to this. It never occurred to me to use Mandala yarn this way. I mostly use it for shawls, and I made and C2C blanket for myself. I used Lion Brand Heartland to make my daughter a sweater. It was suppose to be a shawl, but decide it wanted to be sweater with a hoodie. When yarn speaks you listen. I will have to go shopping for the right colors of Mandala to try out this pattern. Thank you so much for your great tutorial.

    I learnt something and I think it will work for this and most of your work - in the foundation chain instead of going on the top, you stitch into the back of the stitch - it gives a very nice look to the chain stitch. Try it out and see if it works for you! It did for me. And thanks for the tutorial! I'm gonna get yarn and try this out!

    • @JaydaInStitches
      @JaydaInStitches  5 років тому

    • @JaydaInStitches
      @JaydaInStitches  5 років тому

      Hi Maureen, if you were to add the sleeves first, you'd have to be very sure how the poncho fit and how long you'd want the sleeves so if you're new to making a custom fit piece like this, I recommend adding the sleeves last. Once you've made one and know how it will fit, then you can certainly make your second by adding the sleeves first :)

    Gorgeous! I love the color combination. I'm guessing you used one Spirit and one Gnome together? Going to make it. I was feeling a little bit down and your dance cheered me up. Thanks, Jayda. 🙂

      Hi Beck, yes! I loved them both, and I really like how the two self-striping colourways worked together :)

      Hi! yes certainly! Use a smaller hook with a thinner yarn and the formula to figure out how long to make your foundation chain row :)

    OMG I love it. I wonder if you could do a tutorial on how to add a hood. I cant wait to make this poncho/tunic.
