The Saddlebag is the number one resource me and my players use for items and homebrew races. Can't understate how happy I am that these are available on dndBeyond. Can't wait for the rest of the books!
I’ve been running a campaign for the past year using content from Griffons Saddle book 1 & 2. Orostead has been my players favorite city they’ve visited
HOLD UP ONE SECOND. THE NEW ARTIFICER. When they dropped the UA and said they wanted to leave room for new expansions to add magic items to the artificer's list I didn't realize they didn't just have a bullet in the chamber, they had an intercontinental ballistic missile en route. As someone whose group operates primarily on DDB, this is deviously good news.
I've been on Griff's Patreon for quite a few years now, and his content is absolutely fantastic, it's amazing, so amazing in fact that I've been transporting many of his items and subclasses over to DDB for my players to use (or myself, should my DM allow it). And creating homebrew stuff on DDB is kind of tedious, arguably, kind of overwhelming at times, but I've been pushing through for years. I'm just kinda bummed out that allthat work was kinda for nothing in the end, because those same items and subclasses are in the book now, and I wanna keep supporting Griff, still. Damn, that stings a little bit, ngl.
Yeah, I've spent so much time adding these items by hand over the years that it got me pretty good at understanding how to manipulate Beyond's sometimes unintuitive tools for this and other areas. Good for Griff, though
College of Mercantile Bard was VERY neat. You get a magic coin that can deal bludgeoning damage…by flicking it at targets. I’m picturing either…Rufus Shinra from the Final Fantasy 7 Remake… …or Anton Chigurgh. “What’s the most you’ve ever lost on a coin toss…?” “Call it.”
Hey D&D Beyond. I see these subclasses are compatible with the new 2024 classes on the site. What about the other third party subclasses? When can we expect subclasses like Oath of Open Sea by Critical Role to be compatible with the 2024 classes???
For most of the 3rd party content on DnDBeyond, newer content has been added first. I think it’s a combination of the wanting to promote the less popular content, but it could also be the philosophy that a homebrewer’s best work is often their most recent work.
@ For all we know, they could be planning on releasing the 1st book but the devs haven’t had time to finish properly coding all the magic items in yet. I think I would rather get complete products separately than both at the same time and less integrated with the character builder.
Bring back à la carte!! I miss being able to look there and see what all is exactly in the book before I buy it not a brief description saying two of this through that 20th of that I wanna know what exactly is in the book before I buy it.
Being subclasses, species and magic items they should all be suitable for 2024 as even if designed for 2014 they will be rules wise compatible with 2024. Its mainly third party base classes that suffer a bit.
Be nice if Griffin talked about, you know, his Discord... Where his community help make magic items... that go into the books... rather than just say 'I make magic items'
Griffon's Saddlebag CARRYING the magic item supply for all of us. Thanks for all your hard work!!!

Mat take while if ever remember they only ever got the first book of beasts and it took like half a year to get a second grimhollow book

These subclasses are awesome!
Orostead is my favorite dnd city ever published!!
This book sounds awesome I saw it in the email a few days ago but had no context as to what it was. This video has sold me
So much fun stuff in this book! Picked it up as soon as it went on sale. Looking forward to using this in my games.

Just got this one myself, cannot wait to use it in my campaign!
Huh the subclasses seem cool-CLERIC SENSHI???????
All of the subclasses are extremely intrigueing. Especially the Druid and Fighter subclasses. I can finally make a Kobold that can turn into a dragon.
Number one magic item maker Imo, I use Griffon's Saddlebag's items in all of my DnD games. So happy to see it can now reach an even larger audience.
Thank you I have been wanting griffon saddled bag for so long on beyond thank you finally!!!!!
Glad to see this make it onto Beyond. Just makes the platform all that much more useful!
I saw the video title and Immediately bought the book om DDB. Now I don't have to spend all the time to put all the items of his I use in as Homebrew.
Always amazing stuff from Griffon!
Looks great. What about book one on dndbeyond? Thanks
Also will the Hardcover (book 2) be available on Amazon?
not me sprinting to ask my dm if I can use these items with the artificer rules lmao

YES!!!! I am stoked for this!!!!
I need D&D to get everything griffon on beyond let yesterday! I need book 1 I need griffons of the multiverse I need it on there I love this
One issue with that is Book 1's Bard is the College of Dance and 5.5e has one now.
I’m telling all my players that if someone buys me this book for Xmas, they get a free Magic item from it.
Is GS's Book One going to be on DnD Beyond?
Griff spotlight!
Hasbro appears to be slowly shutting down the Wizards of the Coast offices and licensing third party content :)
Barbarian: path of the infernal...
Tell me more about it
🤔
Shouldn’t book one be added first…?
For most of the 3rd party content on DnDBeyond, newer content has been added first. I think it’s a combination of the wanting to promote the less popular content, but it could also be the philosophy that a homebrewer’s best work is often their most recent work.
@ they should just add both at once then imo
@ For all we know, they could be planning on releasing the 1st book but the devs haven’t had time to finish properly coding all the magic items in yet. I think I would rather get complete products separately than both at the same time and less integrated with the character builder.
@ this is what I’m hoping for myself but we’ll wait and see
So the ethereans are the birdtaurs from centaur world.
Are they gonna put griffon bag 1?
Are these classes geared towards 2014 or 2024 classes?
2024
Bring back à la carte!!
I miss being able to look there and see what all is exactly in the book before I buy it not a brief description saying two of this through that 20th of that I wanna know what exactly is in the book before I buy it.
Is this 5e or 5.5 e?
Is this compatible with the 2024 rules on D&D Beyond without hassle?
No artificer subclass?
This is not the Monster Manual? What the heck are folks doing over there?
gods work
Is this going to be more compatible with 2024 or 2014 rules 🤔
Are these compatible with 2024 rules? I thought it was written before the new rules came out.
Thats what I want to know before I purchase it. Cant seem to find an answer :/. It all sounds amazing though!
Looking at the DND beyond app it looks like there are 2 versions of each subclass. So, I assume there is a version for 2014 and a version for 2024
Being subclasses, species and magic items they should all be suitable for 2024 as even if designed for 2014 they will be rules wise compatible with 2024. Its mainly third party base classes that suffer a bit.
I just purchased the digital book on dndbeyond and I can confirm it comes with 2014 and 2024 subclasses, one for each of the twelve standard classes.
@@DaytonThurmer That's what I wanted to know! Thank you!

All the subclasses are kinda meh sadly :( all cool in concept, but they feel like they aren’t quite fully realised yet. They feel 70% there.
