New JIG Gets Bites From SPRING BASS

- A jig is one of those classic baits that turns on in the late winter/early spring once the crawfish start moving around. I decided I was going to put the new 1/2 oz size Cumberland Pro Lures Procaster Jig in my hand and search for a bite. I wanted to field test this new jig size regardless of the outcome. It's nice when the bass show you some love.

I love the weed guard on those jigs, what's really cool is with everyone fishing with ffs the in shore shallow fish aren't being pressured like they have been, I think here in a few years when these offshore suspended fish get wise and get harder to catch we will see more balance in the fishing.
They are quality jigs. You may be right but there are still a ton of people still fishing shallow. The fish are already getting tougher to catch. I think they will suck up to the bottom more, play hide n seek and merry go round the brushpile.
@@TheTinHorseMonty they will get wise the more and more of them that get caught offshore I think they imprint they know I mean I know some bass that aren't quite all there in the head and you can catch repeatedly then there are those that may get caught once or twice when they're dinks and they dont fall for anything that isnt right you know what I mean those big bass once they reach that 5 year mark or at least around here they have seen every lure in tackle warehouse and they sit down there and just watch em all go by plopper, spinner bait, square bill, senko, ned rig, they get wise especially once thet reach that 5lb mark they have seen it all especially down here I mean there are big bass being caught but, for example o.h. ivie no one has been fishing that lake really until the past 2 years those bigs they're all catching alot of them have never seen a lure in their life

Nice job Gabe you got some fish, looks like you had a good sandwich, that's always a plus. That jigs is interesting, I been making jigs like that with coated cable guards in them for years.
