  • They either need to change the way the rare drop system works or remove it completely and make the game into a full gotcha game where we have a pity system that will guarantee we get what we are trying to get.

The Rare Drop Rate system on NGS is more of a RNG Gotcha system than anything. You could have over 500% rare drop rate active and probably still wouldn’t get the weapon / Armor pieces that’s current. The system either needs to be completely overhauled or removed from the game and replaced with a guarantee weapon / armor system after you run so many Urgent quests.

I'm holding on to hope they'll adopt an FF14 style with end game gear. Have quests reward tokens that have a daily or weekly cap. Once you get enough, you can turn them in for a weapon or gear that is the same strength or higher than what can drop from the quest. RNG would be able to get you what you want early, but if your luck is bad you can still get it normally in like a week or 2.

It's not getting removed, It's one of there great cash cows as those drops may "drop" for a single person that can sell that on the player market leading to people sending $ to get the cash for it. Stuff like this has been around for along time on Pso2 and it's not going to change for pso2ngs.

The fucked up thing about this statement is that it’s 100% true. It’s SEGA’s cash cow and there’s no way in hell they would change it if it would cost them. They could’ve went the route FFXIV did with a token system. Token gear may not be BIS but it could later be augmented to be equal to BIS (hard raid gear). There’s tons of gearing systems they could utilize but won’t because of greed.

@@ThaGodLegacyHD There's lots of stuff that pso2ngs done that has been ways to earn them more $$, Removal of Fun Tickets, tons of Shops, Casino, Bingo Cards, so on. All this stuff was Free and could earn a lot of free rewards from it along with SG but in pso2ngs this stuff was Removed or moved over into there new Cash setups. Lately the game has just been Re-skinned Monsters/Bosses with short story Patches but tons of AC/SG Items, Rigged Loots, So on. To play this game you legit need to drop $ on it to get anything anymore as the "good" loot you would need to farm Hours on Hours for or Spend $ in hopes to sell off stuff to buy from someone else (still need to pay for the shop).
When Pso2NGS first dropped, The bots went wild and pretty much ended the market within the first week but SEGA didn't do anything to correct this matter as it was already too late (but fun fact, This only help SEGA make more $ due to higher prices for items on the market) while it was pretty clear the player rooms were not to come back but out of the blue we got Player Plots but again Objects, etc are all AC/SG (remember the removal of Fun tickets, Yea you got free stuff from that for the rooms)
While there was a much larger player base back on pso2 during it's time that would keep somewhat a balance within the market and drops were fair but this was around the time when MS had there hand within the game too. Soon as the Japan Side taken over again, Just bad all around.
Overall Pso2NGS has been a major down fall for SEGA other then being a major Cash Cow for them, It's a shocker that there servers are even still up tbh.

this has been a complaint from both JP and Global since Base and they have blatantly read these complaints out and said no. They will never fix it. I'd say just quit the game and make sega learn through a boycott, but then they'd just drop it and start a new one with the exact same mistakes. They've been repeating the same mistakes since 1994 so much, its a wonder they are still able to function. Gonna go on a limb and say nostalgia for sonic, Yakuza, and the desire for waifus are all that keeps Sega alive at this point...
