What’s your opinion on PSO2NGS’s gearing system? How do you feel about the rare drop rate system on NGS? How do you feel about them adding sellable “lottery best in slot weapons” to the game where only the whales can obtain by buying Ac scratches?
Gosh I could not agree more, I've made a complaint in sega's official discord about exactly that. I NEVER get any of those drops, and because I play slayer I was with a Neos A for over a yea until 2 weeks ago. All Sega is doing with this is turning the game a disgusting pay to win, where the only way to upgrade is to scratch and sell waifu lingerie to buy your weapon
“Sell waifu lingerie” 🤣 that’s the best one I’ve heard but it’s the truth. But let’s be honest they’ve somewhat scaled back on the skimpy T2 waifu lingerie over the past year. Some say it’s because players are tired of skimpy female clothing while other body types are being ignored but at the end of the day that’s where the money is. People will pay for skimpy outfits at the drop of a hat.
Agreed. They shouldn’t be sellable. I do think we should have multiple, viable options for weapons and armor from jump, but it’s good for games like these to have rare items.
Relik actually only lasted for one month and then they had Cinquem to replace Relik. Also, Relik was overrated since we also got Greaga with much higher drop rate (thus getting fixa is easier), and fixa 5 Greaga actually beat Relik without fixa. Relik drop rate was a little bit low, but was okayish. Rugged drop rate was BS. We can kinda tell on their market price, Relik cost around 20~30M, while even a Rugged bow without fixa cost around 150M. Flugelgard drop rate was low, but it was similar to Relik, Tisah on the other hand was BS, like Rugged. Also, they ignored the fact that whales bought multiple copies of rare weapons to upgrade fixas, making them inaccessible to other players.
If you can get a melek with a fixa lvl 4 or 5 you would out DPS a well augmented 10* weapon with no fixas on it. But even the drop rate for Melek weapons with fixas on them is completely busted.
Haven't played pso2 since jp was originally released 420 years ago, but I feel like bis should have a reasonable drop rate and be unsellable. The previous tier should be fine to sell, though. Just the opinion of someone who played the game for not long, though.
This is actually how it should be done but it isn’t. They’ve kept us in the horrible weapon cycle for 3 years. I’d rather them go back to making us grind for mats to get gear at a vendor.

Speculating, but could that be a result of the difference in budget each game received? I've seen...reasons as to why NGS doesn't receive much, and it's apparent. NIKKE's quality trumps NGS's in every category except, arguably, combat (also sure, NGS's character customization is top tier but it can't be compared to NIKKE. One's a Waifu Collector, the other's a Build-a-Waifu).
I feel like a lot of this shit that is plaguing the game is because we are still stuck on Halpha. Granted, a change of scenery wouldnt directly fix the problem but it would give more room for growth and new ideas for everything to be implemented.
Because if it happened SEGA will be all over it with a C&D in a instant. Players playing that when they could be on official servers, spending money to feed the SEGA corporate machine is a no no.

Yes it is bullshit. My pso time this past month has been wait for urgent log on run it and log off. what amazing game play loop... Iv said it before getting a weapon to drop shouldnt be this hard. Getting them with fixas should be super hard.
Bro I feel you on that. I log in when I know it’s time to run Omen of the planet breaker and then I log off after that. That’s what they’ve reduced this game to. Log in for UQ and log tf out and play something else.
It’s best in slot… Especially with its potential buff that everyone gets whenever you pop your photon blast. To be fair it’s only considered best in slot also due to its 1032 attack power at level 70 and I’m sure it will be much stronger than Tisah at level 80. Why is it needed? Uh more DPS? Especially if you get one with a new fixa on it.

I strongly agreed, so far I've got nothing but Meleks via Solus fight. I was pissed and its unfair.

@shiroranmori5009 That’s because you can grind dread scales and get a melek weapon. The dropped ones have a low drop rate like everything else in NGS.

If they don’t show an updated roadmap December 2023 - January 2024 I can already see what’s left of the player base leaving to go ply other games.
