guardian08527 agreed there! We only saw them for a moment in season 2 so they don't have much character development nor do we get to see rarity spend time with her entire family much, so hopefully there's an episode in season 8 that covers that!
I agree, even if we saw Rarity's parents a bit before, it wasn't much more than what we've seen of Twilight's parents before this, and haven't had any episode who actually centers around them yet.

Didn't get a Rarity's family episode, and I didn't get a Zecora's village episode, but we got to see Celestia and Luna just bombing around Equestria on a road trip.
This episode in my personal opinion has the best Spike moment in the entire series! Anyone agree?

The fact that he's 'so loyal' to Twilight that he basically forces her to a vacation while stays behind to take care of things?
I love how Spike makes laugh about Twilight.
I loved how real the lesson was, so good. And I was shocked to see Iron Will again, never would have thought we'd see him again, although I shouldn't have been so surprised, MLP likes to bring characters back previous episodes after all. And Spike was so great! The fact that he was willing to stay behind to let Twilight be with her family on the cruise was just so amazing to see from him, Twilight needs to pay him back in some way, maybe some nice gems or something for him. Overall a good episode, great reaction and can't wait for more! XD.

I'm in strong disagreement with the writers of this episode. They made such a huge deal of Twilight apologizing to this random pony who happened to win something and ended up invading Twilight's space, stalking her, cutting her off, and all together annoying her ALL DAY LONG, and when she accidentally step on his hoof, *says sorry,* and then uses this occasion to tell him his wrongs (which she should have done earlier, I agree), he didn't even acknowledge them and simply got offended.
While it's clear that Twilight should apologize to him, it's unfair to make it seem like a huge offense, by having Twilight mention the fact that she "owes somepony" an apology (not naming which pony as if it's obvious), and then deeply apologizing to him and admitting her own wrongs, all while him still ignoring his.
Twilight apologizing to him should have been done in just a single sentence, or even just implied.
Another thing I don't like is that Twilight did miss watching the stars, which was the one thing that she did all of this for. Sure, she also wanted to be a good princess and not let anypony down, but I really think that viewing the stars at the end was the thing that motivated her to keep this whole thing going and keep obeying the annoying things that Iron Will forced her to do, all while keeping her from spending time from her family, which was the point of the cruise for her at the start.
She made a poor choice of making a deal with Iron Will because she puts everypony before herself, and she still paid the price for this "error". Not fair. Those 2 reasons are why this is one of the worst episodes of the show to my likings.

Mostly because when he was friends with one of staffers, he would sing demos of the songs that were being written for MLP:FiM and the demos would sent to higher-ups for approval. So since he was a part of the production process, he couldn't appear in an actual episode (except for a few background voices from time to time)

As a princess, Twilight is really in stress.
Agreed, it's like Twilight never trust herself on doing this on her own and even how distress she's been going through.
I love Iron Will. He is such a great antagonist. Not evil, and not nearly as overtly deceptive as the flim flam brothers. He never lies to anyone, he just relies on people being dumb. He could have cancelled the trip immediately and kept the money, but was willing to work the ship. This episode was 100x better than stranger than fan fiction. The only cringe was the star pony who wanted to get tossed off the ship.

So, apparently the title in and of itself is a reference. Air ships are called zeppelins, but this word is Zepplin (note the spelling), which I believe to be a reference to Led Zepplin. *UPDATE* : Apparently it's been confirmed that they actually just misspelled the word "zeppelin" in the title of the episode, but it still could have been a clever reference. In any case, where's the quality control people?! XD

This episode kinda resonates with me. Two of my friends give me a call every other week with an invitation to spend four days with them. Sometimes I leave with them and sometimes I don’t. My reason is because I have a life and don’t have to feel obligated to spend every other couple of days with them. So yeah, I give this episode much respect for addressing this lesson.

I think as far as parents go, we really need one with Rarity's. With the clash of personalities in that family, there's a lot they could do. Or, I know it's asking a lot considering we thought we'd never see their parents at all, but I'd love a flashback episode with the Apple siblings when Bright Mac and Buttercup were alive.

Anyways... this lesson kinda got to me, sometimes i feel like I gotta do everything around in my house, and everybody else just act like they're totally useless or incapable of doing anything, but I just can't get myself to say no... Celebrities may be locked down by a convention contract, but sometimes they can get away for a while if the queue is empty. I think there were a few times at a sci-fi convention an actor wouldn't be as well known so he had lots of spare time to just walk around the convention. Good opportunity to just hang out as normal people not talking about what they've played in.

I just don't quiet understand why Twilight apologized to Star Tracker? He just caused this to himself, that pony should really know the boundaries. Plus he didn't even consider to realize that he's invading the personal space of a princess. There's a difference between spending some quality time with someone, and just being a bubblegum that sticks to others ass the whole time. The lesson in this episode was pretty solid, always read carefully every contract before you sign it, because the consequences will be your own risk. I'm surprised that Twilight just let Spike take care of Twilight's royal paper works, I don't think that was a bright idea from Twilight's part since we know what happened last time when we saw Spike taking care of royal duties. Hint, hint "Princess Spike". She probably should have asked someone else who's more experienced with royal paper works like, Luna or Celestia. I'm glad that they returned Iron Will, it's been a very long time since we last saw him, I've honestly never expected to see him once again, I've been kept telling myself how cool it would be if they returned him, well I guess my wish has been granted.
One thing I was confused about is how did Twilight recognized Iron Will at first glance? Even if her friends told her about him, she still shouldn't have recognized him by how he looks. Unless if her friends told her about him in every detail, then I can understand how she identified him.
I gotta love how they showed some character development of Twilight's parents, at least we get to know more about them, especially that Twilight's mom really likes bungee jumping and her dad really likes bingo. I also love how they clearly showed that Twilight's mom is the pony who's more likely into crazy things, perfectly showing from where Twilight inherited her crazy personality and how her dad is more likely the cautious and observer type which also explains Twilight's concern if something is out of schedule. Shining Armor has air sickness, interesting fact to know.
I guess that's it, I pretty much covered everything about this episode. Really good episode, with some really good character development. I think this is an another episode that goes into my favorite episode's list which currently contains almost the whole season 7.
I have to say, AppleGeek, I really appreciate that there is no profanity or crude humor in your content. It's really refreshing and makes watching your reaction videos much more enjoyable.
I hope Applegeek is aware that the MLP Movie is canon with the TV series, and takes place in between Season 7 and 8.
I've seen the movie, and I'm not sure if it's really all that important where it takes place in the timeline. In fact, having seen the S7 finale, I think it would make a bit more sense to put the movie before it (but like I said, it doesn't really matter that much).

Twilight's mom is apparently pretty good with magic herself. She could levitate herself, plus Flurry plus Shining all at once. I think we've only seen Starlight levitate herself before. Littlepip levitated herself and Xephyr before but even she struggled to do that.
Pumpkin Cake levitated herself in 'Baby Cakes'.
Can't remember all that happened but when Flurry was born they certainly mentioned that newborn unicorns have uncontrolled magic surges which are much more powerful than their normal magic. So baby magic is difficult to quantify.
Also anyone else notice that Starlight isn't the only Unicorn that can levitate herself? I wonder how powerful Twilights Mom actually is now...
I remember one BronyCon I went to that had John DeLancy there and I swear the line was gigantic. I so wanted to meet him and get a photo, but he was moving a bit quick and we were barely posed for ten seconds for the picture before he movied on. It felt a little cold. it was only later I heard he'd been pushing himself, working though meal breaks, determined to meet with as many fans as possible that I felt so guilty. I would gladly have stepped back and given him space if I'd known what a madhouse things had become. Amazing as it was to meet the tallent behind the show, I wanted to give them as much respect and space as they needed.
I agree that everyone who saw this episode gasped alongside Twilight's family in that scene. I really liked this episode as well as fame and misfortune, but I felt really bad for the characters in those.
One question. A while back two more Equestria Girls shorts apeared and im hopping to see your reaction to those.

This was a really really great episode. Also a great reaction, just, loved your freakout the moment Twi's parents were mentioned.
As to the major thing and the... other 'meta' 'fandom' ep... damn this one is just better on every conceivable level and how that one should have been. The fans were excited, but not strawman'ed assholes or idiots, the plot actually makes sense, and the story works even without the need to ONLY view it from the meta-perspective alone to make any sense out of it. The fans were over the top and a bit to in Twi's face, but at the same time, they paid for a cruise explicitly to spend time with her and had no way of knowing she wasn't in on that. And were fully respectful once she asked them to back off a bit. Just, this is how you do that type of thing RIGHT!
Also, I'm more and more convinced that that ep is just straight out of continuity, between how nothing of something that major is even hinted at, despite not being resolved at all, and even bigger, Daring Done? and the fact that it's still a secret that Daring is real and also AK, given Fame had the Mane 6 be assholes who spilled her secret to the whole world. Also not really time to work in that scene with the CMC into Marks, and the lack of it having any mention in that ep either.
The rest.... ohhh this was such a GOOOOOD ep, was enjoying it.. but that ending.. just... right in the feels. Cadance was awesome, Flurry was adorable, Shining was a huge dork, and the parents... ohhhhhhhh they were amazing. We really do need more of Velvet, and yes her and Windy together would be AMAZING! Hell I want a Mare's only trip to Las Pegasus with Windy, Velvet, and Mrs. Shy.
Iron Will...... holy buck the "Grunkel Stan" thing really is rather spot on.... And yeah he's shady and underhanded here, and in the wrong, but.. if you look at it a certain way... well still morally wrong, but he seems to be a solid Lawful Neutral. He will respect and honor any deal he makes, is true to his word, and did give the full disclosure in the forms they signed, it's not his fault if they don't read it after all would be his thinking. Which does give him an edge and make him better then Flim and Flam. Who are just con men.
But again, great reaction to a great episode.

I just realized that the entirety of Gravity Falls happened between Ironwill's two appearances.
if Spike was forging Twilight's signature, then I would've expected the next episode about an angry mob attacking Spike, upset they got false autographs, and want Spike's head on a platter, fresh from the guillotine for forging their favorite Princess's signature only to find out it wasn't from Twilly! (okay that mob would be just me by the way, and whoever else thinks the same)
The part about Spike being Cadences baby killed me when I first saw this episode
Cadence should absolutely have an episode with the theme "Fresh mother dealing with it and the unexpected".

All in all, it was good to see an episode with the whole of Twilight's family. Especially her parents. It's not quite a homerun like some of the other episodes this season, but there were plenty of callbacks and interactions to make it worth while. Let's see if the series can regain momentum it had in time for the finale.
Just notice that twilight mom can self levitate just like starlight twilight said that that nearly impossible to do

People please don't spoil the season finale for those that have not watched it yet including me and apple geek. Yes the season finale is already on UA-cam unfortunately some one called Andy reacts and he got early access to it some how and has already done a reaction video. Please Hasbro pay better attention when you do season 8. You don't want people to complain like they did after season 3 aired because you shoot it half the time you normally take.
I saw that too. I didn't want to, but out of fear of seeing more thumbnails about the finale i went ahead and watched it early. As for what i saw i'm of course keeping my mouth shut. I sure don't want to be a reason others get spoiled.

What I hate about this episode is that when Twilight is crying because she missed the Northern stars her family
Tells Twilight the stars were breath taking and so happy they could cry this shows that twilight’s family doesn’t love her at all
That's so true,, if they truly loved her they would have taken action the moment twilight was forced to do all the princess activities, even if sje was saying she didn't mind
And the 'compensation' for missing the stars was shit compared to what they said about how beautiful the stars were and that they're so happy that they'd cry

This episode was great. Iron Will has returned since Putting Your Hoof Down. It's nice to see Twilight's whole family again. I feel bad for Twilight. She's in so much stress

I fully understand how Twilight feels. Even if i still saw the 'tail end' of something special to me my reaction would be exactly like Twilight. So don't think that Twilights reaction is to dramatic. It must be very upsetting to miss seeing something special with your family and friends.

I have to totally agree with everything you said on the commentary on the end. But the one thing that I'm peeved about is the family at the end. Twilight spend the whole time to organize and planning out the family activities and she said she wanted out of everything to see with the family is the shooting stars. You would think the family would want to stop Twilight on what she is doing so she can see it with them. But no they where selfish and even commented on how wonderful it was knowing how much she wanted to see it. I personally think Twilight's family really fudged up here.
