Oh Dude you got the wrong one! :( HDMI2AV converts a HDMI device (PS4 / XBOX) to AV (CRT, old VHS recorder), you need the AV2HDMI, taking it from old to new. Might have to jump back on ebay/amazon ;)

Hello mate, would this make the picture quality good on the gamecube? Because as it stands my gamecube picture quality is so bright and kinda unplayable, will having this make it look more clearer? Thank you
Hey mate, short answer no, it's purely going to just convert the signal. Now in that process the image may change characteristics, for example my HDMI2AV converter with the switch gets washdd out colours when using an older TV. So a game cube MAY have something similar happen by chance. But yeha it's not meant to happen so I can't say it will. One of those $20 gambles to see if it will or not unfortunately!
Hello. Thanks for your video.I ordered one like that for £6.25 on ebay.I actually ordered a new LG Nano86 49 inches 4k tv,2 hdmi 2.0 and 2 hdmi 2.1 to be ready for Xbox series X I want however to play my xbox original also and in lack of AV socket I will try this. What is the recommended setting you suggest?720p or 1080p?should I change settings on my xbox menu to adjust screen resolution? My point is to be able to see and play like I did to my Full HD TV where I had AV socket and connected the yellow, white, red cables directly..Any tips to get an as better picture would be welcome.Thank you in advance
Does this work to convert PAL to NTSC while also converting RCA to HDMI? I have a PAL Wii I want to plug into our NTSC HDMI-capable TV. If I just plug in the PAL Wii to the TV using the component cables, the screen is black and white, blurry, and doesn't fit quite right.
Hey Sam, it's not a all-in-one and seems from others comments they have different issues depending on just that, PAL vs NTSC, however I've linked in the Description a Wii specific dongle so that should give you your best chance! :D
ive a sony tv with just av 123456 hdmi on my laptops work fine .but can not connect the ps2 at all any tips please heeelllp!!! got a converter same as that one uk
I tried this on my wii and it works fine but it displays in black and white instead of in color. Do you know a fix for this or will it be stuck like this. I’m fine with it being black and white but I’d definitely prefer color.
will this work on kenwood top of the line dnx99xr and using official cable ca-c3av which has female rca? will it actually have 720p? my radio screen is 1280x720p? wanna use it for playstaion classic whuch has an hdmi and usb behind it?
Sounds like it should, you'll need to buy the HDMI2RCA model though which is in the description links, this will take the Playstation Classic and give you that Yellow RCA Video for the headunit. You'll also need to route a Mini USB cable for Power as well
Wouldn't it be better a component2hdmi cable? Most consoles like ps2, wii and original xbox allow component signal and rgb signal with a mod for sega saturn, game gear snes and more which would truly increase video quality instead of upscaling. Regretfully I haven't found a component2hdmi in my country (Ecuador) so I gotta import it.
Have you got a link of the cable you're talking about? To take rca to hdmi it has to convert the signal from analogue to digital, so if there's a cable out there then it most likely has a converter built in aswell.
@@camshand it took me months to answer didnt get the notification. but adapters like retrotink or framemeister are focused on increasing video quality of old consoles on modern tvs.
@@aspinia yeah for sure, there's many better products out there than this and the others linked in the description. These are just the cheapest ways to get RCA stuff working on a new HDMI only TV which to some for a hit of nostalgia now and then that's fine. If you're an enthusiast, well yeah you'd be looking at other stuff or keeping your CRT screens anyway haha :P Thanks for looping back with the recommendation, I'm sure someone will appreciate the adapter names to research if they want higher quality
Would this work with my rca switcher? I currently have 6 older consoles I like to switch between with the push of a button. if I ran it through this device and into an hdmi port instead of an rca port do you think I could still switch between all my consoles?
I can't see why not with rca not being a two way connection there shouldn't be any data or anything lost from the switcher that the converter would need. End of the day it's one of those $15 gambles to find out sorry!
hmm blue screen is odd, if my converter doesn't get a video signal it displays coloured bars. Given you're receiving audio something is being passed through from the analogue signal into video. If you've for sure got the Yellow VIDEO rca cable going into the Yellow port then i'm unsure what else you could try.
it all depends of the device. Like framemeister that actually specializes on improving video quality of old consoles to modern tvs.... but that brand is very expensive, there are less expensive alternatives but not as good as the framemaister. Retrotink 2.0 is a solution to buy on budget.
nope, you have to buy one of each. the name will define the signal conversion path, but they're handy to have around. I've updated the description though with specific units for Wii and PlayStation etc. as depending on where you live these converters dont work with all consoles.
Check Description links carefully for a converter to match your device 👍

In PS2?
Does this work to convert PAL to NTSC while also converting RCA to HDMI? I have a PAL Wii I want to plug into our NTSC HDMI-capable TV. If I just plug in the PAL Wii to the TV using the component cables, the screen is black and white, blurry, and doesn't fit quite right.
Hey Sam, it's not a all-in-one and seems from others comments they have different issues depending on just that, PAL vs NTSC, however I've linked in the Description a Wii specific dongle so that should give you your best chance! :D
I did exactly that with my wii and it's saying no signal is it on
Will this work for PS1 ??
ive a sony tv with just av 123456 hdmi on my laptops work fine .but can not connect the ps2 at all any tips please heeelllp!!! got a converter same as that one uk
I tried this on my wii and it works fine but it displays in black and white instead of in color. Do you know a fix for this or will it be stuck like this. I’m fine with it being black and white but I’d definitely prefer color.
Love the dog :)
will this work on kenwood top of the line dnx99xr and using official cable ca-c3av which has female rca? will it actually have 720p? my radio screen is 1280x720p? wanna use it for playstaion classic whuch has an hdmi and usb behind it?
Sounds like it should, you'll need to buy the HDMI2RCA model though which is in the description links, this will take the Playstation Classic and give you that Yellow RCA Video for the headunit.
You'll also need to route a Mini USB cable for Power as well
Mine doesn’t work it just says no signal
I’m having the same problem did you find a way to fix it?
If you're an enthusiast, well yeah you'd be looking at other stuff or keeping your CRT screens anyway haha :P
Thanks for looping back with the recommendation, I'm sure someone will appreciate the adapter names to research if they want higher quality
Do I really need to connect the mini USB too? I just want to play with my Nintendo switch!
THe mini USB is what powers the Converter, without it the converter can't do it's job :)
@@camshand Ok thanks a lot, I just want to keep it as simple as possible. It just seems like Hdmi to RCA cables are so good, dont know why
@@camshand Does that mini USB cord come with the adapter when you buy it? Or is that purchased separately?
I try to use this on my hdmi splitter to connect to my capture card into my pc but it didnt work.
What if you get a blue screen? I can hear the game console but I can't see it. It's a blue screen. Any fixes?
hmm blue screen is odd, if my converter doesn't get a video signal it displays coloured bars. Given you're receiving audio something is being passed through from the analogue signal into video. If you've for sure got the Yellow VIDEO rca cable going into the Yellow port then i'm unsure what else you could try.
I also got a blue screen too
I tried it with my ps2 but it only stays on the blue no signal screen but I can hear sounds
use ps2 to hdmi adapter because it uses higher quality component video
@@gamecubeplayer ok thanks
Thanks for helping out there GameCube Player, real MVP 🤙
Which one should I get if i would like to connect my VCR
RCA -> hdmi
hmm.. I dont know why on mine it makes the image look like it has the contrast maxed out
U need to lower down your current resolution such as hdr and tone it down to whatever the old console requires or similar
Does the display still show if the ps4 hdmi is broken?
If the PS4 HDMI output is damaged then it wouldn't be outputting any signal to convert to RCA.
How did you ran the tv cables to hdmi
When you use a converter, do you lose some resolutions/quality of the console?
it all depends of the device. Like framemeister that actually specializes on improving video quality of old consoles to modern tvs.... but that brand is very expensive, there are less expensive alternatives but not as good as the framemaister. Retrotink 2.0 is a solution to buy on budget.
Does the converter come with the mini USB for power?
It comes with that, but not the hdmi to hdmi
im using av2hdmi to my ps2 but i got black screen, how can i fix it? pls help meeeee 🥺
get ps2 hdmi adapter
Who is my screen blue ???
all i am getting is a blue screen i got sound but no video and all i wanted to do was hook up my ps2 any advice
Quick question bro
can i use this converter for both
av to hdmi and hdmi to av?
nope, you have to buy one of each. the name will define the signal conversion path, but they're handy to have around.
I've updated the description though with specific units for Wii and PlayStation etc. as depending on where you live these converters dont work with all consoles.
@@camshand alright sir thanks
Does this work on a smart TV
Yes. Via HDMI
