One thing you did not mention, which is really important, is... Spacing . Team spacing, and once you pass ur defender (finding a good space) to score comfortably, which takes high I.Q.... sometimes you would have to be vocal on how to set up good spacing on the court. ( TEAM GENERAL)

There’s 3 things that are stopping me from actually using my potential and actually doing it #1 I do t know how to /when to use a basketball move in. A game for example I don’t know when’s the right time to actually use between the legs the defenders just get an easy still #2 translation into basketball games I don’t know how to translate the practice to games #3 I don’t have confidence whenever I. I am playing/hooping I be so confident when I am practicing by my self but as soon as I am doing 1v1 2v2 and in games I just don’t know what to do I have such less confidence in basketball game that whenever my teammates are about to to pass the ball I look away and just never want the ball for some reason because of the first 2 situations which affect me plus I am slow and have no strength to shoot but I already know what to do for it but this just stresses me out so much if anyone has any videos/any help in the comment it will be very appreciated thank you very much😊

@kashu-p3i Don’t allow the mind to confuse those nerves you feel as fear . I have a story, it may be a bit long but if you truly care about this problem, I hope this story may help. I use to hate nerves because I confused it with fear when I was younger. My trainer asked me before a game once if I was nervous, I told him no. I was nervous but in my head if I answered yes, I thought he would think I was afraid because I was young and I thought nerves meant fear. He replied with something that completely surprised me. He said well now I’m worried if you’re not nervous that means you don’t care. He said nerves means you care, you care about the outcome, you care about wanting to be great, if you don’t have that then you don’t love this game nor care for the want to be great at it. Nerves are a good thing, a great thing actually. You have to embrace it and understand that it means that you’re truly alive. It is not fear, it just only means you care. That conversation completely changed my perspective on what it means to be nervous before playing. Don’t allow the mind to turn it into something it is not. Do the work, You have to work. You can’t avoid the work if you truly care because then that fear is warranted, but once you’ve done the work and it’s time to play know that those nerves only mean your excited for the great things that are about to happen! Trust the work you’ve put in and just go out there and play the game you love. It is a shame to not express the way you love the game through your play. Express it to its fullest. Go out there and just play. Be where your feet are and enjoy that present moment you’re in, the chance to just play the game you love. A great book to read if you want something to truly dive into, is the inner game of tennis. If you can read it or get a great summary on it online somewher. I think you can learn a lot of great things from it that’ll surely help. I know tennis is in its title but it’s a great book for any athlete in any sport, trying to have a better understanding of the mind at play when it comes to sports and performance.

Trust your work! Every time you focus on your feelings, youre occupying your brain with those negative feelings instead of information that can help you win the moment. You've prepared, you've practiced, you're ready! Trust yourself.
I tell all my players to focus on "do your jobs"... You have jobs 24/7 when hooping. Even on the bench. Stay present and in the moment, your ultimate goal is to win games and there's 87,633 different ways you can help your team do that.
If your focus is on you, you will continue to overthink and feel the pressure. Focus on winning, focus on the team, and focus on doing your jobs. Your instincts will kick in and you will start to do the things you do in practice in your games, and you won't even think about it!
      You got this dude, trust!!!

I can tell you one thing , you need to mentally believe you can hit the shots more and be confident in the shots first because you can practice it and be fire when practicing then not be able to apply in a real game. Trust me from a 6'2 guard who's go to is the mid range fade and post fades and I basically float while shooting when contested and still hit a high percentage. Meditation can help also so you can improve your focus and be able to apply the shots better in game when needed without overthinking it.

I figured it came down to your handle and your footwork. I've been working on them for years, but I'm still not as nice as i'd like.
Something from your damian Lillard (or cj mccollum) video that has stuck with me for YEARS - at one point, you point out that he uses a pound dribble. I've been trying to integrate that into a pound hard enough that it rises up and then you have to get the hand positioning and legs right that it fluidly turns into a shot. Like a peekaboo right in front of your defender - so you can never relax during a live dribble. I'm still not fluid enough for my goals, but it's a little something you threw out to the internet that stuck with someone else in the world.
Thanks for the content! And your time. 🙏🙌👏🤝
