  • Here we are preparing Amanita Muscaria in a tea to microdose.
    First we were drying/dehydrating them in the oven.
    After we messure 15g of different sized heads and bring them to simmer with 250ml filtered water, for about 20 to 30min.
    Filtering the mushrooms out and taaadaaa you end up with a tea!
    If you don't add any additional water you will end up with a concentration that you can add twice as much vodka or tequila, than you have a tincture that will last for long term :))
    Enjoy your journey with the medicine!

    I have made teas, vinegar and paste and I have enjoyed Soma, tinctures and made ketchup with the dried mushrooms, but 40+ years later I find nothing better than a thumb print size raw with a glass of lemon water twice a day to be so so much stronger.

      That's fascinating! It's incredible how versatile Amanita muscaria can be. Your experience over 40+ years sounds rich and diverse. Taking it raw with lemon water is intriguing. It's great to hear you've found a method that works best for you. Always interesting to learn about different preparation techniques!

    I did a quarter ounce of these by mistake. I thought they were psilocybin. I felt like I was a giant and I walked in slow motion. Stuff kept replaying. I was phucked up all day. Trippin balls.

      Also it is a good lesson not to just eat some mushrooms you are not 100% sure about!:D

    I think simmering so long is no good. You are possibly cooking off the most important part. Steeping in hot water should be enough. Grind the mushroom into a powder and drink it down.

    • @peaceperformers9165

      How would you recommend to grind it to powder after dipping it into hot water? Pls. Further explanation:))

      @@peaceperformers9165 iIeither break them up with my fingers or chop them with a kitchen knife. Then I just put it in a cup of hot water. I may add a little honey, then just drink them down. They dont taste bad, and you can just eat them. But I find if I don't chew them well, they may cause a little digestion issues.

      Ibotenic acid (a neurotoxin and the part of the mushroom that generally makes people feel sick when ingested) needs to be converted to muscimol via heat and acid (lemon is good), this greatly improves the strength of the solution for making tinctures and long term storage. Long term drying and aging (1yr+) will also accomplish the same goal, though many people dont have the time or space for this. Theres nothing wrong with steeping the fresh mushroom and drinking it if you know thats how you like it and wont make you sick - the method in the video is reliable for new combers to Amanita muscaria

      @@nickthorp1624 A year? That seems pretty long. You're decarbing the acid. I dont know why it would take a year. Many people dry them out with dehumidifier...At some point the muscimol will start to lose it potency.

      @nickthorp1624 Рік тому

      @@MushroomsMythologyandMedicine the acid naturally decarbs over time, from what I've been reading at least. its not going to be my method of choice though.

    I am not an expert but in some videos they add lemon juice to it at some stage.. is it a necessary step?

    • @peaceperformers9165

    • @nickthorp1624
      @nickthorp1624 Рік тому +1

      bringing the ph down between 2-3 helps greatly with conversion and reduces the chances of feeling sick if you are having a macro dose, lemon juice is convenient for this.

    Amanita dreamer puts them in the dehydrator first then makes the tea once they are dried out

    • @peaceperformers9165
      @peaceperformers9165  Рік тому +4

      We also dried them. With the help of the oven ofcourse in less than 50°C within a few hours, wich open doors, since we don't have a dehydrator yet. The idea is to dry them out till they become crispi enough. Not too high otherwise you burn them. Then you can make the tea. If you are living in a dry environment and you have time then you can also hang them on a string in shadow place. The old times they didn't have a dehydrator.

      @@petergeof5221 The tea think can last 3 days in the fridge and about 2 months in the freezer. When you keep it in the fridge check that the tea does not get to foggy, that would be a sign of starting to get bad.
      Suggestion would be to take some tea in the fridge and the rest to the freezer in different amounts to defrost them when needed.
      About the amount and protocol is really dependening on how you want to use it.
      Some start with half tea spoon, some with 1/4 or even 1/8. Experiment for yourself I guess to see what fits you.
      We are taking a tea spoon. Iris protocol is 1 days yes one day no.
      My protocol is 4 days yes 3 days no.
