I have a solid testimony of the Prophet Joesph Smith. I also have a degree in Geology. Ive utilized the scientific method stringently more than most, but its was not nearly as impotant to the soul as developing a relationship with the divine. Nothing brought me closer to God then the Book of Mormon.
Your degree in Geology didn't require any spelling for the essays and tests? My degree required that I know how to spell. And write. And actually know The Scientific Method. It can't be used to show a religion is 'true.' It's a belief. It doesn't even claim to have factual evidence. And it's Joseph. Not Joesph.
Nemo could you do a video on the witnesses. I’ve seen a lot of your stuff and others explain why the story of Joseph smith doesn’t makes sense but I haven’t found anyone able to argue against the witnesses of the Book of Mormon none of which ever denied their testimony of the plates.

I think you cannot undo a book that has been written and published, and in times of the internet, books have lost the status of primary authority anyway.
The issue is that the Church will no longer carry it at Deseret book and will fade from the general knowledge of the members. Fortunately, it was published by Alfred A. Knopf. This publisher has nothing to do with the LDS Church, so it will only go out of print if no one buys it anymore.
Many decades ago, when I was in high school, the first presidency proclaimed that obedient members should dispose of any church publications more than four years old. Manuals, periodicals, things.of that nature. I recall at the time thinking "Memory Hole". I finally clawed my out of that crazy-town. It was a lot harder to quit back then, in my opinion. The isolation, and difficulty in getting facts about what the church hustory actually is.

Zzzzzz. I’ve read and own RSR. I also have all the Saints books. There are specific purposes for both. Whitewashing and exposing aren’t the purposes. Just as youve speculated about the new project and its purpose, a lot of what’s in RSR takes a truth and then draws speculations (which i loved). However the churches job, and i would say Gods job through scripture and revelation,is to testify of what the servants do in benefit of furthering the Fathers work. So from Adam to President Nelson we focus on their works that testified of Christ and the times they assisted in growing the kingdom. Although i would think it fascinating to learn more about Moses life prior to his calling. I think you'll find it was RLDS church who did this. And to be fair, the RLDS referred to her as Emma Smith Bidamon while she was alive.

Joseph refuted such slander since at least 1835 if not earlier as he says he was innocent and the same man in 1844 as in 1830. I believe Joseph over everyone who claims polygamy to be from God. Joseph never made such a claim. It has no bearing on salvation but rather became an abomination practiced in vanity before God in his name. It all began in vanity of Joseph's name saying he supposedly authorized it. His personal statements clearly refute such a preposterous claim.
@@prophetcentral That was a lot of words to not really answer a simple question. It is clear that Joseph practiced polygamy. It is clear that there was quite a bit of coercion. Also clear that his polygamy involved very young women. Don't really care what Joseph has to say. Too much evidence to the contrary.

There is so much more.information that have been found about the history of the church and the life of Joseph Smith since these books were written. Historians who left the church over the information that had been found are coming back to the church because of the new information. Why? Because we simply did not fully understand what really went on. This is going to be a new biography based on the additional information we now have, which as rendered the earlier writings that we now know we're not based on good data.
I know this is going to ruffle the feathers of Nemo and all the other haters out there because they want wrong information. They can't handle the truth.
