Thank ya
Ahhhhhh just " a guy with a guitar". But he was so so much more. Incredibly self-aware. And incredibly missed ❤❤❤
What a substantial human being. And still just a kid. Old soul. What a loss for humanity.
What a blessing he was & a legacy he sustains.
This is probably my favorite little scoop of his outlook on things. He’s such a humble guy, and musician. Huge inspiration to me. Wish he was still around.
Philosophical genius I think....
He probably would have been the biggest rockstar ever. He was so sensitive and vulnerable, yet extremely courageous to express. The good die young can be the metaphor for getting too close to the source of creation that they touch the other side, and therefore, the source pulls them closer. They are too good for this life. There is a limit to how much the source wants to be exposed. Jeff was at the precipice of pure artistic expression.
“In their mind they failed but not in my mind. I loved them”
My God he was brilliant and didn’t realize how special and precious he was. Such a lovely, humble real, soul.... Very sad he left us way too soon. Wish more REAL artists like him existed today. 😭🙏🏽❤️🔥
I’m here.
Same 😢
I was right in front of the crowd at Glastenbory in 1995 I had no idea video footage exsited I'm in shock!!
Jeff Buckley was such an amazing artist can never equalled!😪😪
Thank you for posting ❤️❤️❤️
You can find more Glastonbury footage on my channel.
I was a fan first of his Dad Tim Buckley and when Jeff came around I was blown away to have another Buckley making music. And then his death crushed me. A magical flame sniffed out too soon. Miss him
He was an angel. Not human but so human. A beautiful gorgeous soul unmatched in time.
Jeff Buckley.......what a gigantic, tragic loss. What could have been beyond the sliver of greatness he had shown to us.
I love everything he says here...goodness gracious.
Great balls of 🔥
You said it!!! JB, always a great artist, always lovely and always present!!
We miss you Jeff, like you’ll never know. 🥲❤️🩹😘
Beside he was a very talented, versatile musician,he was "so real"(my favorite), so down to earth, with a good sense of humor...Buckley,we still love you!
❤❤ 🎵🎶🎸
can’t believe he said “I don’t know why people are talking about it” (his music) 😂 His music was absolutely amazing. 3:24
A combination of humility and being unassured of his work’s merit.
@@MojoPin1983 - Exactly
He not only made beautiful music but he was wonderfully humble and genuine. Thank you for posting these clips. Jeff was truly special.
Just love his expression that the music and emotion were on the horizon like a tornado which would eventually overtake him. That's possibly the most succinct description of an artist that I've ever heard.
6:55 oh my Lord what a beautiful reference
My man jb was an early adopter of the deep v neck on guys. Thank you for everything sir 🙏
White V-Necks, black jeans and black boots was Jeff’s trademark look.
Let the song speak for itself! It's a masterpiece! Grace
Awesome interview thanks Jeff!!! Clips r fabulous!! 👍❤️☮️
A great talent gone too soon! ❤️
Aw. He was so shy and adorable!
Fuck that Mississippi/wolf river! Damnit, i wish he hadn't gone swimming and was still around 😭😭😭😭
He was out of this world and like his father Tim Buckley his gone to soon.
What he left with Grace is eternal infinity in form of music, that is faraway from anykind of imgination...🙏
Watching In 2019. Good times.
I love you and wish u still with us
Profound insights. A wise & enlightened soul. The art of living as he describes however & wherever & by whomever it’s created. Greatest regret? What a dumbass question!
Really enjoy these insightful interviews into the late and very great Jeff Buckley.
I now better understand why I was reluctant to dive into his music when I was in my early twenties - the all encompassing hype around the person of JB and NOT the music contributed to the pathos and pain he was obviously carrying deep in his being.
What does it take to satisfy the voracious appetite of the music industry and attendant music machine media outlets?
Jeff fitted the bill with his charismatic good looks and musical mastery - too much fame too soon is not a good thing for anybody.
Vale Jeff Buckley.
Lo amo tanto 🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤 me gusta todo de Jeff en mi idolo mi estrella con el que puedo reír, llorar con sus canciones
Grace is what matters
His Sun in schorpio, moon in Aquarius, beautiful soul.
And his rising is a scorpio as welL! Double scorpio... such an odd one.
Didn’t know about the moon in Aquarius, my Sun sign.
Is there an astrological chart for Jeff?
@@zoej1844 leo rising he is, based on his birth chart
Exquisite
An empath true and true
A sweet soul, too sensitive for a long run in this world.
The 9 minute mark. Yea. That's why and how.
Love it. I let the music shape itself!!!
I really believe the river took him. I truly believe his spirit drowned in his own life, the river was that vehicle for him.
What does that mean?
@@MojoPin1983 I believe he reached a pinnacle with such a wealth of intuitive knowing, that his soul surrendered itself to the river. Jeff's spirit surrendered itself before his love could be tainted, his immortalized purity.
@Oppie You’re not taking in account why he even entered the river. It was just a dumb accident. There’s nothing more to it.
@@MojoPin1983 You're wrong. Life is one big accident.
@Oppie Is it? If God does not exist, then life is objectively absurd and our existence is random, however, I think there are many good philosophical arguments for God’s existence, thus, making life objectively valuable.

Do you know where I can find the interview on the bed..I believe it was muchmusic. It went on for awhile (outtakes?).
He was fixing his hair. I thought you had it now I can’t find it. Thanks!
@Starshine Moonbeam I have snippets of that interview via several videos. Checked the links in the pinned comment. I will also be posting more of that interview, soon.
@@MojoPin1983 hey can you send me the outtakes if you have any?
@@somes3cretcat They’re all on my channel.
Tim Buckley had some phenomenal genes. But Tim has nothing on Jeff.
5:30 = is that a chocolate-shake??
Liquid feces, actually.
What is the interviewer woman drinking?? A smoothie?
It’s so silly looking in that cup
@georgia penz Toxic waste.
@@MojoPin1983 do u dislike the interviewer? She’s kind of annoying
@@MojoPin1983 I would’ve done a better job interviewing him for sure.. so sad
"A song about my death, but not fearing it"
Yes...that got me right in the feels...Unreal...So real...

Thank you so much for uploading this, MojoPin1983. Jeff Buckley had such complexity, vision, love, and power in his music. He seemed like a beautiful soul, I see it through his singing, his playing, or in interviews. Jeff continues to inspire me. He still burns bright, gaining new fans and enchanting old ones alike.
You’re welcome, Luci. God bless and Happy New Year.
God bless you too. Happy New Year, MojoPin1983! May 2018 bring you love, laughter, and happiness.
His beautiful face is incredibly expressive ... like his voice !!! I miss you everyday!!
"You gave me more to live for more than you'll ever know"
I love this verse.
"Grace is what matters. In anything...it keeps you alive, open for more understanding..." "...you can achieve a real state of grace through somebody elses love in you. When you're totally out of fuel..."
He talks so poetic.
Look how he completely held the audience's attention 1:03
Come on jeff enough now. Come back to us. We need your new music
Such a soft spoken angel. His music was charged with emotion in a way that I don’t think can be replicated easily. He was absolutely one of a kind. An Earth angel here to bless the world for an unfortunately short period of time, who left pieces of his soul behind in the form of sound. His voice could penetrate through the blocked hearts of those with hard walls that hide their pain. An ethereal voice that, when you hear it, makes you yearn for the ability to feel love, pain and everything in between. Thank you Jeff Buckley
My daughter's middle name is grace x
Mine too 💖
Congratulations lol
"Grace keeps you from reaching for the gun too quickly"... we've lost grace in this Country.
Molly Nash Not at all.
Beautiful man. Brilliant musician.
thank you for this
was a genius i think. the way he composed songs was totally original and his use of his voice was adding another instrument besides the vocals. only rocker to ever do that. maybe
elvis also.
*Watching Buckley interviews to remind myself that good people still exist.* Oh... wait.
Johanne Madsen Ow
That is an artistic venture, baby!
"What is your greatest regret?" Dude, Jeff was just a kid here, why would he have regrets? It's not like he was some 80 year old who lived a whole life of making regrettable choices. I know what WE all regret - that he passed too goddamn soon...
He was just three weeks shy of 28, then. He was a young man. He had more than enough life experience to feel regret. Everyone should have regrets, even as children (eg. mistreating someone).
He was super talented...and a bit self aware. But I appreciate the youthful honesty.
When he was working on his second album, he was trying to turn against the romantic Jeff Buckley image of the Grace era... he knew how his looks made the emotion of his songs an intoxicating combination and how calculated this had been in his pursuit of success. In his final months, he expressed a wish for the music to come forth over the image (impossible when you look like that). Maybe him wading into the river was him trying to lose some of that control and manipulation he had shown in the past and go with the flow, so to speak. Definitely a conflicted individual.
I would say more than a bit....the whole of Grace ,(the album) was channelled from his higher self I believe...
His last songs were masterpieces
He was a humble young man. And so very talented. God rest his beautiful soul 🙏🏽🕊♥️🎸♥️
God bless Jeff, and you, as well.
MojoPin1983 Thank you so much 🙏🏽 God Bless 🙏🏽🥰♥️🌹♥️
Thank you so much, for sharing this. Beautiful.
You’re welcome.
james dean energy,
its so sad to think he just wanted to make his music and be himself without the pressures of the spotlight and celebrity culture. I wish he couldve been able to explore art and still retain his roots and his deep vulnerability. he seemed gentle and was consumed by the daunting presence of 'Hollywood'. so sad.
I wonder what his music would've sounded like today if he had been able to overcome what consumed him.
i identify with his point of view in some ways, as i'm an 'artist' and often grapple with the conflict inside of me-- pursing my art without losing myself.
i was borning, he was dying, i feel so conected to him.
4:41 damn
Jeff buckley avait vraiment de la grâce ! 😇 je me lace pas du seul album studio qu'il aura sortit RIP
I would have loved to have a conversation with him. On the one hand he indicated that he wanted to make music so good that they would forget about Led Zeppelin II. But there are interviews like these where he says things that are in complete contrast to that earlier thought. I'm hoping it was a maturity thing and he later dropped ego and didn't try to compare his music with others and try to compete with other art.
I'm so proud of my name which means Grace. I love you man! I'll love you forever...
Thank Youuu! Love Grace
So good video, nice memory i got from his concert in Belgium ...
You saw him in Belgium?
@@MojoPin1983 yes, live festival Werchter...
Back 1995 , was one of the live concerts i saw, also liked a lot PJHarvey, Morphine, REM , the same day all ...
@Penafidelenses pelo Mundo I have some footage from Jeff’s set at Rock Werchter on my channel. Do you happen to know which company filmed the festival that year? I’d like to contact them and ask some questions, if you can help.
@@MojoPin1983 dont remember, but if you look here on youtube , righting werchter you can see some videos of 1995 ...not good quality but, but...
RIP lovely Geoff xx

I hope one day to see Jeff Buckley in heaven.
@Virginia knighten I hope so, as well, however, Jeff wasn’t a Christian, and he seemed to reject the faith overtly, at times. With that said, wherever Jeff spends eternity, that is in God’s hands. I will leave judgement to Him.
@@MojoPin1983 I’m so deeply saddened learning this about Jeff. We can only pray that Jeff had asked for Jesus in his heart. I guess we’ll see. Thank you for the info. Of course I still love that adorably beautiful man!
Why would you swim in a leather jacket leather boots and Jean's
He wasn’t wearing a leather jacket. He wore boots into the water because the shore was littered with broken glass. Whatever the case, it was stupid of him to do what he did. I guess the risk-taking that he took in his music was indicative of a person that was willing to gamble, in all aspects of life, and it cost him everything. He lived life on the edge and could be reckless. Maybe the danger involved gave him a rush; who knows?
What he said about the future is so beautiful and true. What the future holds is more spectacular than you can ever imagine. 20 years ago I never thought I'd be happily married with 8 wonderful pets in a job that I love. You can't force it, you have to be yourself. But my love of animals did strengthen the bond with my wife. So I do have them to partially thank.
@James C Are seven of those pets tarantulas?
Lol my wife is terrified of spiders. We got 3 dogs n 5 cats mostly of which I rescued.
@James C Nice. My older brother rescued a couple of cats.
By the way, it’s nice to see you on this Jeff Buckley journey, thanks to Rick Beato’s video on the track, Vancouver. With that said, since you are enjoying Jeff’s music so much, I have an album recommendation for you. I am not sure whether you are familiar with Buckethead (I call him *Buckley*head) or not. His album, *Colma,* is the most emotionally-captivating, gorgeous, serene album that I have ever heard, apart from Jeff’s music. He is the only other artist that has been able to make me cry while listening to his songs (which are all instrumental).
To give you a little background: He wrote the album for his mom while she was in the hospital with colon cancer, thus, there is a deep sense of longing that runs throughout. This album is one of those rare, ephemeral moments where the veil between heaven and earth is pulled back. This is a true masterpiece and definitely Buckethead’s magnum opus (he has something like 200-300 albums; more than any artist in the history of music). The solo in the second half of the song, Machete, is arguably my favourite of all time.
think you will thoroughly enjoy this record. You can listen to the full thing, here: ua-cam.com/video/v2i0hWwyjhE/v-deo.html&app=desktop
