(unless i've commented here before and am lucky to have been somewhat drunk). I hear his small variations here and there everywhere in his live recordings. He very often almost camouflages what song he actually started, which I love, often a weird intro that suddenly goes into the actual song. I was only 15 but I'm kicking myself for not discovering him until '99, I was too deep into Seattle rock over here in Norway. I'm looking at people in the footage and wonder how they can look away.
i would actually sacrifice my soul for just seeing this once, i would die to get jeff buckley back for even a second, its incredible how a person ive never seen nor lived in the same time with can affect me and dig so deep into my heart to a point where whenever he sings my throat tingles, i get goosebumps all over my body, his voice is ethereal, ive never seen anything like this, its fascinating, how can one not be so drawn to this, i would much rather die now to possible have a chance of meeting jeff in the other world than complete my life and live it fully as i am only 14, incredible, if theres anything more praising

I was at this show. If I recall correctly, Jeff initially came out on stage in a black leather jacket...in April...in Atlanta. I thought he must be crazy. He ditched the jacket pretty early on in the set. 😁 I took lots of pictures that day, but I unfortunately ran out of film before Jeff played.
Do you know if anyone else filmed this show? One would think that an outdoor festival, such as this, would have been captured by some audience members (besides the two camera men who shot Jeff). Additionally, I would think that some local professional(s) would have filmed the whole, or at least part of the festival.
I didn't know anyone else at the show (other than my sister who came with me), so I don't know of anyone else that would have video/pictures. I remember they were telling people that they weren't allowed to take pictures, so most people who were doing so were trying to be stealth about it. I actually saw a guy have his camera taken away by security and have his film exposed to the sunlight to ruin his pics. I think the show was sponsored by 99X (a now defunct alt rock radio station), so it's possible they may have filmed some of it. Not sure how you would contact them. Also, if you're able to find footage online of other bands that were there (Soul Coughing, Luscious Jackson, Indigo Girls), you might be able to ask the photographer if they have any additional footage from the day. I've never been able to find any, but maybe you would have better luck.
I was at the show to...mostly to see him (Mike Watt and G Love too). Fantastic performance. The rest of the festival seemed less exciting after he played. And it rained on and off!
Thanks for the tip. I just found the other video. I do remember a very short clip from this concert airing on MTV's The Week In Rock the following weekend. Pretty sure it was mainly focusing on Mike Watt. Not sure if those clips came from Sean or from another cameraman. That clip of Eddie Vedder looked somewhat familiar, so I would bet it would be from the same guy.

I grew up in Brooklyn NY and cam to Waterford in 2001 and only found Jeff the last few months....I cannot believe how I’ve never heard about him before...what a difference he’s made in my life...nothing else matters compared to him! I’ve eaten and ordered from the pizza express on Elizabeth Lake RD... what a small world that it seems Jeff still brings us all together.

No, but why tell us that he has more footage, then suddenly be like (I am paraphrasing), “oh, but you can’t see it, and I won’t give you a substantial reason why.’ Put yourself in our shoes, and surely you can see how that would be frustrating. Perhaps the uploader didn’t mean to lead us on, but it is disappointing to be alerted to rare, unseen footage that he has in his possession, only to be told that we can’t see it. I’m not saying that we have a right to see it, but it’s unfortunate to be made aware of the existence of something only to be restricted from observing it, with the only reason being that the uploader thinks the quality is too poor, thus, not worth sharing. I have the most comprehensive channel on UA-cam dedicated to Jeff Buckley footage, and it would mean the world to me to have a copy of all of the footage from this festival. I know that you aren't going to upload the Grace footage, thus, if if you were so kind as to give me a copy, I could make my own edited video of the Grace bits. I have experience with video editing and would have no problem putting something together, which I could then share on my channel, with credit to you for the footage. Please thoroughly consider this. You might not think that your footage is that great, but Jeff Buckley footage, of any quality, is so rare to come by. It would be a shame for even just a few minutes of it to remain unseen. Have you considered the prospect of tracking down the other camera man and putting together all of the Jeff Buckley footage, which you could possibly sell to Jeff’s Estate/Sony? They might be willing to pay good money for it. Jeff’s main photographer/friend, Merri Cyr, shot 90 hours worth of footage while touring with Jeff and his band in 1994, which she sold to Sony for $1 million.

The Dream Brother footage might be the “best” of the footage shot, but I can assure you that Jeff Buckley fans are not picky about audio / video quality. Most of the footage we have of Jeff is lousy quality. Yours is at least crystal clear, even if the editing is random in certain parts to compensate for the absence of footage your filming partner has. Is there a specific reason why you are withholding it? If you don’t want to share it publicly, would you be willing to oblige in private? May I offer a solution that might satisfy yourself and Jeff Buckley fans? How about uploading it on Vimeo and making the video private? That way only those you permit to see it will have that privilege and it won’t have to be publicly displayed on your channel.

I know that you aren't going to upload the Grace footage, thus, if if you were so kind as to give me a copy, I could make my own edited video of the Grace bits. I have experience with video editing and would have no problem putting something together, which I could then share on my channel, with credit to you for the footage. Please thoroughly consider this. You might not think that your footage is that great, but Jeff Buckley footage, of any quality, is so rare to come by. It would be a shame for even just a few minutes of it to remain unseen. Have you considered the prospect of tracking down the other camera man and putting together all of the Jeff Buckley footage, which you could possibly sell to Jeff’s Estate/Sony? They might be willing to pay good money for it. Jeff’s main photographer/friend, Merri Cyr, shot 90 hours worth of footage while touring with Jeff and his band in 1994, which she sold to Sony for $1 million.

The Dream Brother footage might be the “best” of the footage shot, but I can assure you that Jeff Buckley fans are not picky about audio / video quality. Most of the footage we have of Jeff is lousy quality. Yours is at least crystal clear, even if the editing is random in certain parts to compensate for the absence of footage your filming partner has. Is there a specific reason why you are withholding it? If you don’t want to share it publicly, would you be willing to oblige in private? May I offer a solution that might satisfy yourself and Jeff Buckley fans? How about uploading it on Vimeo and making the video private? That way only those you permit to see it will have that privilege and it won’t have to be publicly displayed on your channel.
Would you be willing to let me know the name of the other camera man who has the additional footage? I would like to ask him some questions, if I can reach him.

Please trust me on that any unreleased footage of Jeff is worth watching. Not releasing the footage to the many people that are begging for it is outright selfish. That may sound rude, but it's the truth. It is with so little effort of uploading the video that you can make a lot of people feel very happy. I sincerely hope to see the Grace video uploaded one day. Thank you
Why bother telling us that he has more footage and then refuse to share it with the public? It borders on being rude to put that information out there and then say: ‘oh, but no one can see this but me.’ Why tease others with content that he could easily share, but stubbornly deny multiple, civil requests? Like, what is so bad about showing us the rest of the footage he has; no matter how poor he thinks it is? Let us (Jeff’s fans) judge for ourselves. This whole situation is just so ridiculous. If he never intended to share all of his Buckley-related footage from this festival, then he never should have gotten people’s hopes up in the first place. It’s like saying to a child: I have this delicious chocolate bar, but you can never take a bite.
